I'm still not entirely sure what happened with the bike. Unrelated to GW, there was a lot of scrambling around trying to fight off the aforementioned demon army, and ended with what's now the favorite 'ship of half the people who took part in Redemption. The bike remained in the fleet HQ, I think, and is now more-or-less docile, what with the TMC-gem far away down on the planet again. You lot can probably continue your testing on it, just be sure to be very very far away from it at the point when TMC gets released again. And if you want the long-lasting plot-important impact of the abovenotmentioned 'ship, it should currently mean a fairly strong Pirate-Fleet alliance. Which kinda annihilates the primary pre-GW2 concern of 'what would stop the fleet from going nuts and zapping us all into oblivion?' Other important relations include 'Mages get along with pretty much everyone' and 'pretty much everyone hates the Mercs' x'D PFA: it's kinda crucial that anyone - and really anyone at all - make the Merc HQ thread and list of active guildmembers, ayup. If you guys remain waiting on anyone with a leadership rank, chances are it won't get done at all (it's been what, half a year since the makeover?) and then we'll inevitably run into problems in GW3 a la "so you say you're a merc? Prove it." Not everyone was in GW2 or remembers it, and if we were to rely on the word of old women in our guild structure, things would get pretty confusing, especially for newcomers. EDIT: woah, been a while since I last got ninja'd on the guilds. Good times :'3

I'm still here! ...I think. Okay, I do want to join, although Internet access might suddenly become, uh, unreliable at times. xD And again, I'm going to have to try harder to make Amneiger (both me and the character) more active and go-out-and-do-things-ish. Speaking of ships...would what happened in Bribe Bash count? It might give Amneiger a reason to be leaving his nice, safe lab. xD

I know this is a double post, but...what's our starting plot going to be? I seem to remember there being some ideas at the beginning of the thread...Nobody'll mind if I resuggest the ideas I had, right? >_>

I would like to join. =D Um. I've never done this before and I have virtually no RP experience but I have wanted to start RPing for a while now and figure this would be a lot of fun.
Also, is it absolutely necessary to read the GW1 & 2 summaries? Cause those are kind of long and I'm really lazy. >_>;;;

You shouldn't need to read them. Although may I suggest to whoever starts this thing going *coughHuntyorFrazecough* that there be a short summary of important previous events put at the start?

XD And then if anything is confusing, just ask people as the roleplay progresses. Amnei, I was under the impression that we're dealing with the consequences of Merpo mucking around with the Underdeep, but I'm pretty sure that can come into play no matter what our starting plot is. What was your suggestion? *is too lazy to find it*

THIS IS MOST-- *brick'd* *ahem* Regarding the summaries, Rider addressed that little problem quite nicely, I think. Lemme dig her post up-- [glow=red,2,300]Major events of GW1: Don't matter, 'cause that's too far back to matter. GW2: Shiny Gem of Ultimate Magical Power, made of Souls. Made by demon alchemist, Leraye. Gets broke and lets armies of ancient guildsmen loose on the earth. Leraye and TMC (the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse) lead the present-day guilds into a trap to cause the apocalypse and then Leraye turns on TMC, turning him into another Gem. Vyt gets rezzed (I missed when he died) and two fo the ancient guild leaders (Rane of the pirates and Kienne of the Knights) got hitched. Redemption: Cyborg fails at getting back into the pirates. We got our paws on the TMC gem, but then Leraye made another one out of his all-demon rescue team. Time travel was involved. Your brains may go boom. Goosh started imitating Edward Cullen. [/glow] Also, before GW2 even began, I indirectly created two running gags at the same time. Hey, at least I did something notable. *brick'd*

Except it's now a random idea with EPIC LEVELS OF BACKSTORY. We seriously need to compile a guild encyclopedia or something. XD Also, it's us. Now that you've said that, Cthulu will arise from the underdeep and start taking the souls of innocent NPCs, then turn them into candy and start selling them from a shop in Tabloid Town as he settles down with a couple of pet dogs and maybe a window garden or something.

(Quick question: what's Redemption?)

Oooh, okay, thanks for the help guys. ^^ (Quick question: what's Redemption?) I personally call Redemption "Guild Wars 2.5", since it directly follows the events of GW2. Basically it was a Pirates/Spacefleet RP with the purpose of tying up some loose ends left in GW2. A mad scientist named Merpo was involved, and we now have the Hunty/Fraze 'ship.

Hey, I never thought that I should start it x'D Either way, I don't see a big reason to be fully familiar with past RPs before plunging into GW3. We usually do a pretty good job at referring back to past events and explaining them in a couple sentences if any of them become important again mid-RP. =D See, your random idea can be used! Long before he said it, I had this vague little... idea... let's just wait and see where the GW will take us, yes? >>; *needs to learn to stop overplanning* But as for a guild encylopedia, we've been desperately needing one for months. Most of the guildstuff is in our heads in the form of 'we were there, we know'. None of the newbies know unless they go through all the trouble of digging through the past threads. Even before the guild makeover, the info was outdated at best, but now there simply isn't any *prods the sadly quiet info subboard* No wonder we hardly ever get new blood. Even if someone wanders into the guilds, there's nothing here to capture their interest. ...*chains Squiesh to a lamppost* On a sidenote, Houston, we have another problem. The mages don't exist either >> There's a HQ thread, but there's nothing whatsoever in there, as in, no list of mages, as in, no mage would currently be allowed in the GW. Any of you sparkly people feel like posting something there to build some substance? There's a confused newbie out there who'd want to join the mages but can currently only see the cardboard facade.

I think Ginz tried to take over the Mage Guild after Ikkin... Maybe you should ask her?

Hunty, that problem has been taken care of. Could I ask all mages to make their way over to the Manor and sign up just so we can verify if the place is worth keeping clean or not?

I'm a newb when it comes to RP'ing... but I've always wanted to play my character in the GW (Strife played Leoness in the GWII). So if someone could tell me about the GWIII agenda... that'd be sweet =D As in... when (can we sign up), who (will start it), what (are the rules this time around) and where (will the plot start out, if it has been decided).
Can't wait =D
