Man, there's just something so bizarre and uniquely Animal Crossing about the pointless dialogues of your townspeople. They'll say these things, like Sahara going, "I can smell your confidence."
"Smells like soup."
You just go, what in the worrllllld, Sahara?

You just go, what in the worrllllld, Sahara? which is why I've taken hundreds (seriously) of screenshots of the ones I find especially bizarre or disturbing or otherwise noteworthy and hope to do a webcomic of them once I actually know how to draw. Or at least I think it'd be a nice idea.

Does it hurt their feelings when you give them new catchphrases? I'm pretty sure I've had the chance to change Lolly's at least once or twice but I keep just telling her her current one is fine because I don't want her to be sad. XD; In every other AC game, it didn't make them sad. So I'm going to say that no, you can't hurt their feelings. Imagine if you got an animal from someone else's town who had an inappropriate catchphrase? XD Wouldn't be fair if you tried to change it and got a negative result. XD

Well, if the catchphrase was inappropriate, that's why you've got the option at the Town Hall to "report problematic citizens." :3

So like, is it just me, or are these villagers harder to make angry? Used to be, if you just pushed them around with your character enough, they'd start yelling at you. These guys seem totally lax. And I haven't come across a villager of the grumpy, insulting type, either. They used to be the ones with the deep voices, but I've got a deep-voiced guy and he seems sorta' chill.

I built a house (tent) in my friend's town. The first thing I did when I got a bug net was to follow my least favorite villager in town and beat him with the net. It only took 3 hits before he screamed at me. I did this 3-4 more times, and he stormed off angry.
So I guess it depends on the villager or something. I did it to gorilla named Peewee.

It could just be an aggressive sort of character personality that you're missing. *shrug*
Someone moved in, and today I just got the chance to talk to them. First duplicate personality in town (Ed being the duplicate personality of Chadder). Kinda breaks the willing suspension of disbelief for me when they both talk about how cucumber-like I am. -_-;

I remember reading something about how the different neighbours all have unique personalities. Two "grumpy" animals will not necessarily react the same way.

Man oh man, 7-9 pm is the best time to earn bells on that island. All the tree-bugs, besides the fruit beetle, are worth a lot, and there are lots of sharks in the water too. I just slowly make a lap around the island, catching all the bugs, and all the fish that are large or shark-sized. Today I made 200k in less than an hour in one trip to the island! Woooo! Also I just funded the museum expansion, which is awesome. It gives you four large "exhibit" spaces, which are rooms you can put stuff in. It's where I'm going to put all my Nintendo things, and probably fill a room full of gyroids too. *_*

Also a great way to fill up the encyclopedia and Blathers' museum. And if you decide to sell the items from Tortimer's Island, combine that with the Bell Boon ordnance, you'll be getting plenty of Bells in no time.

Oh yeah, Bell Boon. I'd totally do that if I didn't need Night Owl so bad. X3 I get home late, and usually don't get to play til after 9. (And I don't like changing the time on my 3DS)

Hmm, the sharks seem more common on my own beach, and even then they tend to show up in "streaks" if you know what I mean, but you're definitely right about all the beetles.

Yeah, Sharks often appear in clusters.

Yeah, I see people complaining about "exploiting the island".
But from what I understand it is a completely intentional game mechanic.

NOOOOO. A grammatical error! and that's secondary to the fact that this person I've been StreetPassing is an obvious time-traveler. What do you all think about time-traveling in Animal Crossing?
Also, I wasted almost 400k Bells on a Reset Surveillance Centre. This should be fun. 8D
