Yeah, the twins would be hard to get right, and Tamaki. They could have the best cast ever and have an awful Tamaki and it would be ruined. Tamaki would be hard to capture, because its not just his voice and tone, its his personality in its entirety that they have to get right. Also, I'm waiting for them to cast someone like Stepanie Beard as Hunny.  Hunny's english voice is vital, they can't overdo or under-do it, or it will end up sounding terrible. I definitely wouldn't like to be in charge of hiring the voice cast. Hard work there XD |

I hope they hire good voice actors. If they don't, I will be mad. The voices add to the humour and stuff. They need good ones. Yeah. XD I hope Ouran comes here to Canada soon, then my friends can finally see why I'm so addicted. X3

Yeah, so, anyways. Pointless attempt at reviving this thread. =D
Okay, so at New Year's Eve I was talking to my cousin and whatever. And she mentioned how cool it would be if Ouran, like, came here to North America and stuff. And somehow, I started getting paranoid and was freaking out over the fact that their names might be "Englified". I doubt that would happen, but still. It's a scary thought. I mean, what would happen if they changed their names into English versions. What (oh the horror!) would they be called? I mean... If they do change their names (which I hope they don't) then I really really hope they choose good ones. If Tamaki is called... Tim, I will cry. Seriously. He can't be called Tim. DDDDDDD:

Yes, it's Funimation - the same Funimation that also dubbed Fullmetal Alchemist, Fruits Basket and... Dragon Ball Z. So the closest the characters' names might get to being "Englishified" would be very un-Japanese pronounciation of the Japanese names. XP |

I bet the english voice cast murders the name "Hitachiin" XD It's kinda like how the 'BangZoom!' cast murders the names of characters in the Dynasty Warriors games. Even an easy one like 'Li Jue' "My lord, Lee zhooeey is..." Oh, and 'Xiao Qiao' (shee-ow chee-ow) they like to pronounce as "sh-ow key-ow" I remember reading something about the dub company who had Yu-Gi-Oh! wantingto Englishify everyone's names. They were going to turn "Yugi" into "Matt" until someone slapped some sense into them...I hope it was some painful sense.  Englishified Ouran cast for fun: Tamaki - Tim Haruhi - Holly Kyoya - Kyle Kaoru - Kevin Hikaru - Hugo Mori - Matt Hunny - Honey (its too Englishy already XD) |

XDDDD I thought the Fruits Basket OP and ED themes were translated well, anyway. The ones for FMA weren't translated, and Vic Mignogna (a.k.a. Edward Elric) sang someone's translation of Bratja/Brothers/Kyoudai for the heck of it, not because he was forced to. Back on Ouran...I LOVE KYOUYA'S SONG. <3 And I love his seiyuu. I hope they cast someone good for Kyouya-sama...[/shadow] |

I actually thought the Ouran cast couldn't sing too well....except for maybe Miyano Mamoru. XD
Kyoya tries to hit this one high note in his song, and it hurts my ears =( XD

I can't believe Hikaru asked her out~~~ And then they end it right there. Oooh. I hate cliffhangers. And it's sad that thing about Tamaki. I mean, most people just thought he was an idiot (he still is an idiot though, I suppose) but now things are all complicated and dramatic and stuff. Oh well. It's still so awesome~ <3 <3 <3 <3 Umm...
