I'll have to pass on that, I absolutely despise the abridged videos. :'D

Me summarising the 'Duel Identity' episodes to my brother: 'Yugi and Yami aren't drift compatible. They need to become drift compatible in order to win.'

I've reached the end of season two of DM (dub, though my friend is watching the sub and we've been comparing notes, and I watched the first couple eps of s1 subbed to compare). I'm going to watch some other shows before continuing so wanted to post my thoughts now while they're fresh in my mind (I know double posting is a Notgood- sorry about that!). While I love the show, the appeal of the duels does start to wear off a little after a while, and I feel a break is in order. =P ((Will tag the spoilers anyway even though this series is, what? Over ten years old now?)) I love Ishizu. I thoroughly enjoyed the duel between her and Kaiba, which is noteworthy because due to attempting to binge a highly repetitive show I was only half watching the duels towards the end, except for the Shadow Game duels because I will never get sick of those. I also really like Odion and was happy that Marik didn't get to kill him! Pretty sure I never watched past season two as a kid (except for one time I think I mentioned earlier, where I turned on the TV years later and was like "Why are they in Egypt now?" and that was that), so if he does die down the road, I don't know yet and please don't spoil that for me before Tumblr does. xD
I loved the s2 finale. It probably helps that I really like the spirit of the Millennium Ring- he's sneaky and overconfident and EEEBIL, but sometimes he works towards a somewhat-good goal like he did in this one? Which is always fun to see in villains. He's me and my brother's mutual favourite (though we've argued a fair bit about Yugi being my other favourite, because me bro thinks he's useless and weak and I think he's wrong so mah!)
The not-date earlier in season two was pure joy. <3 The dance duel and then the duel-duel and eh, it was just a sweet little filler ep I thought.
The duel where the loser was going to be dragged under the water and drowned was AWESOME to start with, though I thought it got a bit weaker towards the end. 4kids didn't even try to shoehorn any Shadow Realm nonsense into that one! So dark, luvvit. And Yugi telling the spirit that he wants to fight the duel himself, to show that he can and because he thinks he can use his friendship with Joey to save him, completely won me over and solidified his place as one of my favourite protagonists in pretty much anything. <3 Ruby Rose from RWBY and Breq from Ancillary Justice are probably still higher up that list, but Yugi gets pretty close.
On another Shadow Realm-y note the stuff about Marik's father being sent there made me roll my eyes, as it was so obviously a euphemism. I've also reached the end of season two of YGOTAS (Melvin'd being the last ep I saw), I won't comment on that in this post but if Moni or anyone else who likes that wants to discuss it, I'm happy to.

It's been a few months so I can triple post to be excite, right? I was worried they wouldn't show 'Dark Side of Dimensions' in my hometown, but they are! At times which actually suit me too, which is cray!
As my brother pointed out, I'm way too excited about this. xD
