So. Have either of you seen almost every episode of the old show? (coughTHEREALYUGIOHcough) I've been watching the episodes as much as I can off the 'net. I don't think they play anymore.

I... don't know if I count as a fan... but I did watch and enjoy the dubbed versions of... well, I don't know. Is what you mean by the old show the one which starts with them going off to Duelist Isand? I watched all the way until we found out who Noah was, then they stopped airing it on that channel... and... I haven't seen it since ;_; But I think I'd seen almost every episode up to that point, even if I've forgotten almost everything by now. I liked it a lot though. What happened to Marik? Did he die? I don't remember, he sorta disappeared after a while =/

Yu-Gi-Oh G/X is really confusing in my humble opinion...I stopped even trying to watch it XD

Never played the game >_> I don't like IRL trading-card games much.

I've seen just about every episode of YuGiOh: Duel Monsters. I did miss a few episodes from the first season, but I can alwyas watch those on youtube ^_^

YGO: GX is the lamest piece of lame I've never wanted to see. =( Its just wrong in so many ways. XO (sorry to anyone who may like it, but I just...grr )

Marik? Well, Yami Yugi defeated him in their finaly duel and he was destroyed/sent to the shadow realm.
Then Malik (the good one) continued living his life in Egypt. So he was never around much after that.

I have a deck of my own IRL, but my cards are suck because I never got many booster packs/tried to get good cards. XD
Its just too hard to build a good deck IRL. I prefer the GBA game Eternal Duelist Soul. ^_^ (though, I have a good deck in that game, I still suck at dueling XDXD)

I'll add you, Ebil. Yeah, that old show. By old show I mean 'Not Yu-Gi-Oh GX'. Malik disappeared from sight after Battle City until the Final Duel/last five or six episodes.

I have Eternal Duelist's Soul too, and my IRL deck...>_> no comment. It's terrible. And now I can't get good cards cause the only cards my game store sells are GX cards, and the rules are too confusing.

I agree with you that YGO: GX is terrible. My friends and I like to joke that it's so bad, they couldn't even spell the title right. "Generation Next? Doesn't Next start with an N?" xD

What was your favorite season of the show? I liked every season, but I loved the last season--the Egypt/Memory World season--and of course, Battle City rocked

Yu-gi-oh: G/X is centered around a 'duel academy', is it not? Seems to me that would put a lot more focus on the duels than the storylines =/ am I wrong 'bout that?

I loved everything up until I was unable to watch it anymore. I need to go to youtube and find out how it ended >_>

YGOGX is centered around 'Duel Academy' which is randomly on an island. And Yugi only actually appears once...in the first episode...and it's only half of his face ;_; It DOES focus mostly all on the duels, and it's very confusing, because there are too many new monsters and rules. Oh yeah, and those 'Sacred Beast' cards, which are SO OBVIOUSLY NOT copied off of the God Cards. Basically, GX shot to heck a lot of the previous rules (like you can't summon the Winged Dragon of Ra without reading the darned chant), and most of the good characters. I'm not going to get into a rant about GX 'cause I could go on...and on...and on xD

If you watch the final episode (Final Duel Part 4, Episode 224), keep a box of tissues nearby. Not saying I cried like a little kid or anything >_>

card: To activate this card's ability add 1 counter. If your opponent has 3 or more counters, remove 2 counters. If you have less than 2 counters, add 5 counters.

XD Okay, that's not it exactly, but I think my parody does justice. What in Ra is a counter? ;; and why do they call magic cards "spell" cards?

Not only that, but I've seen a few episodes, and HOLY CHEAP BATMAN. They just keep making the cards cheaper and cheaper and its so stupid.

Phish told me he saw an episode where someone used a card that "made the opponent discard his entire deck so that only his hand was left"

If you can't draw a card on your turn, you instantly lose, so I dunno HOW that would've happened.

My favourtie season was Battle City. ^__^ Battle City was rockin'

The final episode was pretty good, 'cause EVERYONE WAS THERE WHEEEE! ^_^

The tissues comment reminded me of one part in the Waking The Dragons season when Yami Yugi accidently lost Yugi's soul (losing a duel when he had activated the seal of orihalcon* there). XDXDXD He wept for about 4 episodes after that. XDXD

I have one monster card (a GX one) that says special effect: Move your monster over one monster zone. Is it supposed to dodge the attack or something?

That discarding deck thing...so copied off of Kaiba and Ishizu's Battle City duel. I think the worst GX episode so far was the one where the copy of Ra that Pegasus had, which was fake, got stolen, and then SOMEHOW the guy summoned it without the chant, and without being smite'd by lightning. And then he controlled Ra by using a magic card with chains and Ra cried ;__;

XD That's the only time we see Yami cry in the whole 224 episodes, I think. I treasure those episodes. 'Course, he did just lose his partner's soul and then he had to duel him and beat him...

I have a GX card that has got to have the lamest, most non-sense making effect ever...lemme find it here...

EDIT: aww, I forgot that since its not in my deck, so it must be in a box somewhere with my other cards.
Basically, it was a magic card that's effect was...I could draw another *nameofthatcard* from my deck. -_-;;
Lyk lol, why would I want to draw another one if it can't do anything but draw itself from my deck? XD

Y'know, the chant thing was broken in YGO:DM too ^^ I think after Yami Yugi got it, he only used the chant to summon it...twice maybe. XD

Have you ever seen the Japanese version? From what I've heard, its hilarious, apparently he kept screaming and screaming "AAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIBBBBBOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!"

Oh! and did anyone notice any of these?:
1 - in the first season, Yami Yugi's shoes...are... his pants...yeah I dunno what's going on with that.
2 - in one episode from the first season, they totally coloured in Bakura as Joey's colours (hair/outfit everything). XDXD and Joey wasn't even supposed to be anywhere near them in that scene!
