Minecraft's impact on gaming is undeniable, so it definitely deserved to get representation in Smash. I still can't say I was expecting a character/s to get in, nor do I have any strong feelings about them. (Mostly because I've never played Minecraft...)

I'm cool with the new character. Was a character I was thinking of for some time, just wasn't sure how well it would work. Most of the ideas I came up with were thrown out the door for crazier and stranger game play.
I still need to buy the second season pass.
I've been lazy to really play Smash since Animal Crossing came out and no one to really play with online. I need to get back to it so I can unlock all the characters (lazy since I play them at my friend's place, but now I have to get them myself).

A new Smash Bros character will be revealed tonight during The Game Awards, which will begin at 7:00 PM EST. Good that they're letting us know ahead of time. While the Joker reveal was so memorable for how out of left field it was, it did sort of raise expectations for the following year, which made it all the more of a snooze-fest when it didn't happen. (I mean, last year's Game Awards weren't terribly boring for Nintendo fans JUST because there was no Smash reveal, but it certainly didn't help) So I'm glad to know that I won't be wasting three hours of my life this year. Any last minute predictions? Whether or not it be tonight or later, I feel like Crash Bandicoot has a really good shot, both because of Crash 4 and because he's pretty popular in Japan. (Even though I'm much more of Spyro person...)
Also, I know I've been saying that I'd love to see the Palico from Monster Hunter if there's another Capcom pick, but I can't be the only one that finds the total lack of Ace Attorney content in Smash really suspicious. (Phoenix Wright was a fighter in one of the Marvel vs. Capcom games, so it's not impossible to create a moveset for him. And besides, if a potted plant can be made into a Smash fighter, so can the goofy lawyer) EDIT: I can't believe Sephiroth killed Mario. Dang. Back early on during the pre-release period after they revealed Ridley and King K. Rool, I was wondering if this Smash was gonna be giving the villains the spotlight, and if they would bring in Sephiroth. He kinda slipped my mind for the past couple years, so this was a surprise. I have played VERY little of Final Fantasy 7, so I can't say Sephiroth was one of my personal wishes. I'm happy for those that did want him, though. (RIP to Sora and Geno fans, though...) Anyways, it'll be great to see the ever-generous Square Enix give Smash another two whole music tracks to use.

New Fighter announced, thanks to the E3 Direct Kazuya Mishima from Tekken. In other words, a rival fighting game series to Street Fighter

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series.
Geez, so many peoples' hopes and dreams crushed with the latest wave of Mii Fighters. Lloyd, Dragonborn, Dante, and Shantae were all pretty popular wishes, from what I've seen.

In a little more than twelve hours dreams will be shattered the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character will be revealed. I feel like there are enough big names in gaming left that no matter who it is, a good amount of people are going to be heartbroken over who it isn't. Here's hoping that the pick isn't too divisive that the internet catches on fire. (Oh, who I am kidding - this is Smash, of course there are going to be people that'll throw a fit) Either way, I certainly hope that me chanting "Don't make Phoenix Wright a Mii Fighter, don't make Phoenix Wright a Mii Fighter" before every previous Mii Fighter costume reveal doesn't turn out to be a monkey's paw wish. If he's not the last fighter, this time I hope he gets a Mii Costume just so there can be something Ace Attorney-related in Smash.
I highly doubt that this will be the last Smash game overall, but I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being the last one with Sakurai at the helm. Regardless of what he ends up doing game-wise after this, I hope that he at least takes a nice, long vacation for himself.

I think there are many, many people that are very happy right about now. I genuinely thought that Sora would never make it in. I did think that Kingdom Hearts deserved representation, but I always believed that trying to deal with three companies that are incredibly overprotective of their IP would have been too much of a hassle. (On that note, not too sure how I feel about Disney getting involved in Smash, even if just for this one collaboration...) If I understood right, it also appears that Sora was the real winner of the Smash Poll and that it took this long for his inclusion to become a reality. I always did think that Bayonetta -while definitely well-liked- seemed odd as the winner of such a big popularity poll when put against other hugely popular characters such as -well- Sora. Also, there was a leak that got some attention last week where somebody claimed in July that a selection of Disney music was approved for use for a Nintendo presentation on October 5th (Today). I didn't say anything about it before because it had a very "my uncle at Nintendo" sort of vibe, but it turns out it was real. I think I won't miss Smash leaks, honestly. Kind of kills the hype and speculation, to be honest. :\
Well, Sora wasn't a personal pick of mine, but I'm happy for the Kingdom Hearts fans. Unfortunately for Phoenix Wright, the miracle never happen. Not even a Mii Costume - that does make me sad, admittedly. I do hope that there will continue to be Spirit Board Events. If so, next week is Ace Attorney's 20th anniversary, so I guess that's the best I can hope for now. (Also, can Smash run Doom, now? )

I screamed when the Keyblade appeared. And every time I rewatch the trailer, I start crying when Hikari starts playing.
I have waited so long for this, and I had given up hope before the leak. Heck, even after the leak, I kept my expectations low. And God. This is the Big One for me. No other Smash announcement will ever top this one.
God, even thinking of Hikari playing when the Keyhole appears makes me start crying and I'm NOT EVEN WATCHING THE TRAILER. [/i]
