I am proud to annouce that I have just registered for land on the darigan citadel. I've waited a long time to be able to do that. I had to demolish my old house too. But it's worth it. I'm not going to have a ground floor either. It will be a floating house. I'm not sure if you're allowed to straight out build a room in the air, but if you build a room on the ground, then build a room above it, then destroy the room on the ground, the room above it remains, FLOATING! MOOOOOHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Did you get a good street? When I registered there was only one, but then they added more and with all these lovely names available, I got stuck on Kass.

Thing is, Lisha and Jeran are warriors, not rulers. They fight against the evil Darigan people so they don't take over the world with a sacred orb that controlled their minds. This way, things are much easier. It should be a random, common person, because they never get much attention. After all, Jeran IS royalty. Well, what's to say that a ruler can't be a warrior? Think Lord of the Rings- Aragorn and Theoden were both kings, and they put themselves out on the front lines.  It wasn't all too uncommon for rulers to do that in medieval times. *shrugs* And, to clear up the misconception- the Darigan people weren't ever evil... they were good until Meridell stole the orb, and they were in the right to try to get it back. Not that Meridell was really evil, either... certainly not nice, but you can understand why they did what they did- they'd starve otherwise. Kass was the only one being mind-controlled, and he managed to convince his people that Meridell wanted to destroy them... which would have made the war seem quite justifiable if you only knew that side of the story, and not what was really going on. Lots of shades of grey in Meridell, and that's part of what I love about it.  But, whoever it is, it shouldn't be a 'random common person.' It has to be someone royal to fit in with the system of government. I think I'd prefer Skarl to retroactively be given an Usul daughter than to have a random commoner become king of Meridell. [shadow=purple,left,300]In fact, it was even necessary for rulers to learn how to fight, since the medieval times were dotted with wars and battles. Hmmm...when I first joined Neo, I always thought Darigan was evil. BFM cleared that up for me, thankfully. Apparently it's like a regular war - each side has its good points and bad points. Meh, I'm just babbling. Yeah...but of course, Skarl would have to make sure that his son/daughter/whoever his heir would be so long as s/he isn't a random common-born would have the capacity to rule. Having royal blood, of course, isn't a guarantee that one is a fit ruler. [/shadow] |

I hope it's not Kass, though it would be neat being neighbours. I'm hoping for either: Lord Darigan's Landing Darigan Drive Moonlit Path or Drackonack Ridge another 12h before I find out though  My sister (urchinunicorn) lives in Meridell: 13994 Meri Acres, Meridell She got a good street, in the fields, perfect for her  edit: make that 5 hours! edit again: 3h!/2.5/something like that! |

WHOOT! keng200, 47924 Cell Block Row, Darigan Citadel Not one of the streets I wanted but the order finally went through. I;ve already started building the base for the floating thing out of cardboard so it won't be costly because it will only be destroyed later |

I'm still waiting for more information on Darigan's backstory too, they never quite elaborated.
