Okay, the anthem is finished. ^_^ It's intrumental, piano, without lyrics. I'll try and write the lyrics on my way to Oxford tomorrow and work on various other doruments for the archive and upload them tomorrow evening.
Meanwhile, what are we all going to do next, in like a group?

An election would probably be... very tricky in Meridell; I doubt they have any kind of system set up for it, nor for that matter any particular feeling that it's a valid way to choose a leader. Hagan might well be in line to inherit, or his heir, perhaps, if he's died by then too. Or Skarl could have designated someone -- it's been possible for monarchs to appoint their successor rather than going strictly by family tree, in some systems.

Well, technically, elections would be hard on any place that practices (absolute) monarchy. But Skarl doesn't have an heir...if he is incapacitated, who takes over? Just a thought.
