Comic Reviews Pointless Nonsense - Faerie Wars XD Very nice. Knick Knack - Faerie WarsVery nice. I already read this one on the plot board so not much to say. Meow? by edddibgazSubtle and it would be confusing if there weren't the other pieces in the NT. But I like it. The Not-So-Sweet Smell of Failure by bird_brain312 and manda314XDD I like this one a lot. The wording of the last panel is just right. The Happiest Quiggle by nut862Just in terms of informing people of the plot this comic was very helpful. It explained how the more major faeries are staying out of everything. And it was funny too! I also liked the way there were cookies on the pan. Shiny: Faerie Wars by tamia_silverwingXDD I like the way they're so calm while fighting.

The thread you are trying to access does not exist. :[ it's gone! That's because it was deleted due to people searching for the plot on Google and finding out it was a joke, and those at the NTWF wanted to keep this April Fool's Day plot hush-hush to be more convincing. Therefore, it might be best to censor the name for a while. F***** W*** works well for me. ^_^

People have already seen it; the damage has been done. :/ Edit: And apparently now Googling Faerie Wars will result in this thread.

A Million Little Unis: The Green Uni Controversyby Brains03 ...I think this article is making a lot of GUPpers rejoice and a lot of anti-GUPpers grind their teeth in frustration. Having Captain Evil Dr. Sloth represent the anti-GUPpers might also have been an insulting choice to those that feel strongly on the issue. I totally agree with that- entertaining and witty though your writing style always is, Brains, I think it was rather rude to use Chicken Boy to represent people who've spent a chunk of their Neopoints to increase pets' chances of being adopted. I believe lowering the number of pets in the pound, and thrilling the socks off of whatever random person adopts the painted pets, is a perfectly acceptable form of charitable entertainment that shouldn't be mocked by lumping people in with the laughingstock of Neopia. (That burns almost as bad as the pink and purple April Fools layout for the Forum... *goes blind*.) So anyway, bottom line: while I don't think any reasonable person minds you stating an opinion, especially if that opinion is delivered with the wit and humour that you displayed, next time you write an article involving real people, I would appreciate it if you could do it with a little more respect. A Million Little Unis: The Green Uni Controversyby brains03 Well…. I have to confess something first. I do not like GUP. I feel that while the stated intentions might have enough merit to start a debate, the people carrying it out are a bunch of snot nosed brats who simply want attention, and are getting it handed to them on silver platter after silver platter -- and articles like this are simply another silver platter. Um, yeah... face-slap bluntness for face-slap bluntness, that pretty much sums up my feelings about GUP. Although I could probably sum it up even better with a story, since that's my literary home element... I wonder if they'd let me do that?

The Secret Diary of Danner Carnahan
Ooh, I've been looking forward to this one ever since I first heard it was coming out. By the way, is Carnahan Danner's official last name, or is it something you made up?
Random questions from me aside, the whole thing was very entertaining, and I like Danner's ongoing defensive stance, and his aversion to Spyders. Arachnophobes are so much fun...
Some part of that really should have been used for Quote of the Week. Absolutely my favorite part of the story.
You've inspired me... maybe sometime I ought to write a Saga of the Shapeshifter story from a character's first-person point of view. Lord Darigan's, maybe, although with all the jokers out there it's really hard to write a humorous story about him without looking like you're dragging your favorite Korbat down to Sloth level. -_-; I guess I'll just have to keep reading your stories and see if I can pick up some pointers.

I agree with Nut. Why delete the thread now? I thought it would've been great for Memory Lane. *sigh*

It should have been moved to a board not everyone could access... just like Mod Squad or the guilds... there's no way to go back after you delete it. D=

It's a shame a Google search now finds this thread... *sigh* Next year, safeguards will need to be put up then (maybe the Admin's could hide the joke's discussion thread and censor direct references to it?).
Anyways, onwards to articles (a, an, and the!).
A Million Little Unis: The Green Uni Controversy by brains03 This was an incredibly well-written, informative, and enjoyable article, and I applaud you for it. You skillfully presented both sides of the issue in a manner that I find both humorous and fitting, but more importantly one that seems safe from flames of either side (excluding those from over-zealous advocates).
Personally, I agree with the GUP, that people need to earn their pets, not adopt them for status, but I don't support what they're doing. It's strange, how I can be torn on this issue, but I suppose I am.
Regardless, though, this was an awesome article.
F***** W***: Tactics by ladyariel32 I support Light. Now, where can I get one of those spiffy banners? lol.
Seriously, this article was a perfect piece to help get the word out about the plot-- this article alone would have been enough to convince me! The "information" was presented without flaw and in an incredibly entertaining manner. The Faeries, though not in the article themselves, were brilliantly colored and their attitudes and personalities were flawlessly transferred to the reader, I feel.
I had a great time reading this: it was well-written, enjoyable, and, well, informative!
F***** W***: Which Side To Choose? by kittygirl5170 The beginning of this article, as well as the order in which the Faeries were named, was almost identical to that of the proceeding one. Both had their unique points, though, which was great, yet, for me, they seemed too similar to suspend my disbelief if I were merely a casual reader reading them both. I know this likely wasn't intentional, but for all the parties involved, it could have been watched for better, I feel.
Disregarding that, as an introduction of that sort truly was necessary for this, you gave completely different facts about the Faeries in this article than were given in the above. That difference adds to the believability of this, and it was awesomely done. My one complaint here is that you only mentioned the quest rewards for a few Faeries, when I felt it should have been said for all of them.
Nevertheless, this article's upbeat and excited tone that would get anyone in the mood to choose a camp!
The Dirt on the Earth Faeries by pyrosquirrelx This was a very enjoyable article!
The entire thing, from the beginning to the end, made complete logical sense. (My initial idea of which Faerie Quest would be gotten rid of was Earth, too--really, more food? It makes no sense.) A very good argument that was very skillfully put forth, I feel. Further, your delving into conspiracies was entertaining, vastly so, and definitely furthered the feel of animosity and distrust that this article skillfully built up against the Earth Faeries. The ending interruptions by Storm, however, seemed to lessen the impact, even if they were amusing.
Still, this was well-written and had a lot of convincing power behind it. Good job.

Yeah, I'm doing a GUP comic (I find them to be my own "literary home" as you so eloquently coined the phrase ) next. >:/ If they were doing it for moral reasons, I wouldn't care, but some of their members are overzealous despies, and I find it quite irritating. -_-' Has anyone besides me heard of the CNP? '_' They seem much more morality based, seeing as they don't go loudmouthing all over the boards. (No offense to anyone in particular, I'm merely stating my opinion.)

Pointless Nonsense - F**r** W*rs by petfriendamy~ I really liked this one. The "This is gonna last a while" at the end was a real kicker. XD Cool glow effect on Well's healing magic. [/b] You did a good job on the Faeries' shapes and outfits, and on the Kacheek's expressions. The Acara's face might have looked better without the long, curving line, though, since Acaras are one of those conveniently flat-faced Neopets who don't really need to have their muzzle clearly distinguished in a head-on view. Either that or make the line a bit smaller, whichever you think looks better. Well's glow was nicely done, although maybe next time you draw water you should shade it; a few strokes of deeper or paler blue would have added some depth and texture to the wave. Also, I'm not sure the Acara's limbs needed to be completely cut off from the body, if you know what I mean; leaving a break in the outline like you did with the Kacheek's arm would have made it look a bit more realistic. You did a good job on making the Acara look furry, though, and on the soft texture of the clouds.[/quote] Pointless Nonsense - F***** W*** by petfriendamyI liked this comic. ^_^ It was funny, and definitely a good place for me to start the plot! hehehe. The Acara's face looked strange for some reason, but I really liked the Kacheek's expressions. The Faeries, too, were wonderful, and I just loved the little touch of the Fire Faerie not having any legs; for some reason, the flowing, fiery dress was just great for it. Pointless Nonsense - Faerie Wars XD Very nice. Thanks for all the reviews! Oh, and I'll keep those art tips in mind.

The joke was started on the Collaboration board under " April Fools Collab" or some such. It started with "Maybe we can fake a plot?", and evolved from there into what can be found in the NT. ^_^
BTW, does anyone know the screen name of the GUP leader? I need to ask permission before I start.

I need to ask permission before I start. Ah, I see, thanks for telling me. :) I have no idea who the GUP leader is or if there even is one true "leader." My idea would be that you wouldn't necessarily need their permission unless you are explicitly going to make it that individual.
