((Ikkin note: Considering all the stuff I've done with Kit in this roleplay, I figured it was necessary. XD Rated T for violence, suggestiveness, and commando chronomancers/demonologists)
Welcome to the Guild Wars! Look at the sign-ups thread to get into this everybody. This is my first post below and the one highlighted in red is Rider's. She'll post her's as soon as she can, but the one in the red still is a post as well as mine.

[shadow=purple,left,300]"I do not wish to bet my wand, or have someone bet it," said Kat tersely, snatching her wand back. "If I got caught unarmed..."
She paused, glancing down at the staff that leaned beside the wooden crate she was sitting on, and the longsword on her other side. Even her gold earrings could make decent throwing stars, that is, if she were a ninja. Indeed, even if she did lose her wand, she had a lot of backup.
If she were in an anime cartoon, there would have been a large sweat drop slowly inching down the side of her black-haired head.
"I bet these old pair of socks I found beside Mod Squad," Kat quickly said, changing the subject. Doesn't help being a mage, a pirate and a knight at the same time, she mused to herself.
But the umistakeable thud of a shuriken interrupted their game and her random thoughts. She looked over Rider's shoulder to be able to read the message.
There is something we need to discuss. Where are you docking next?
"Aye, they're at it again, I bet," said Kat, nodding and putting her elbows on the table. "What d'you think they want from us now?"[/shadow]

Lady Zari, technically, did not exist. She was lost in the stream of thoughts and voices. only mildly aware of several voices chattering away in her head. '...I can't believe you can cope living with so much moisture in the air! I-' 'R'lleiya, it's hard for all of us. I'm not used to the humidity either. And it doesn't help that-' 'Shut up.' The Crimson Knight sat up and rubbed her head. 'It's bad enough being the only Fae in the knights, without all the people I ever write about coming to life inside my head.' She stood up, and opened the door, slipping out. Her cat, Zahaere Emaya, followed her, remarking 'Out to go have a chat with some of the other knights, are we?' 'If they aren't already scared half to death by the rumours that I'm a Demon. Well, I am a demon, but not of that kind. I can't rip anyone's arm off.' 'Well, you did scare-' 'I didn't do anything. Humans are alarmed by wings and pinted ears, genera-ah!' Zari had not been looking at where she was going, and had tripped, spilling her cargo- a sheaf of poems she had written- onto the floor. 'Jhioan!' 'Language!'

((I would post, but I don't really get what's going on. Where is everyone supposed to be, and is there a plan for how, and when, the actual war will start?))

((I'm not really sure I'm the right one to answer, but I think each person just starts where they would normally be -- knights at the castle, pirates onboard their ship, etc. I don't know what the plan is, but from what I can tell, this roleplay is going to be a bit wild, so anything can happen outside of a real plot. ^^ ) Tamia was slightly disappointed. A wand would have been a great RCP prize. Of course, she hardly ever won these games anyway, so she had learned not to bring anything of value with her when she played, as it would undoubtedly find a new owner by the end of the night. Even Oran had stopped coming, preferring instead to wait in the crowsnest until the evening's game was over. I'm not a pet! he had yowled the last time he had almost been bet away, in a rare moment of panic for the cat. This evening, Tamia didn't have so much as a penny to her name, so she decided to make do with what the ship provided. "I bet this plank!" she said, gesturing to a slightly damp floorboard, in which there seemed to be an R and an S inscribed in a rough heart shape. However, the bet went ignored, as a shuriken had just embedded itself in the middle of their game, next to what looked like a pair of used socks. Such events were not uncommon, Tamia assumed. Rider soon dealt with the missile, sending a reply back into the sky. As the message the weapon had been carrying made its way throughout the room, Tamia licked her lips nerously. "Just curious, but why are we telling the ninjas where we're heading?" And why are we heading to Tabloid Town, she aded silently, suddenly uneasy about traveling to that infamous port.

While the pirates played their RCP game, Ikkin was cleaning up after a particularly messy class in Mage Manor in which she had taught some of her fellow mages the theory behind fire magic, and how that translated into practice. This required much burning of paper targets, since Sev had burned the fire-proof ones after someone claimed that he couldn't do it, so there was ash everywhere. So, despite the fact that Ikkin would rather be on the pirate ship, she was instead sweeping in the manor.
She wasn't about to let that stop her from knowing what the pirates were doing, though, so she sent Sev to the White Weewoo to watch and report anything interesting. So, when the shuriken flew in the midst of the pirate assembly, Sev flew into position to read the note, and then disappeared in a flash, reappearing in Mage Manor in a blast of flame.
Just as Sev appeared, however, another shuriken flew, this one barely missing the phoenix. Ikkin managed to turn around in time to see Sev right himself in the air and growl "What is with those ninja these days?!"
"Why are you back so soon?" Ikkin asked Sev as she noticed the note attached to the shuriken and walked over to read it. "Did something happen on the Weewoo?"
"Something happened, alright," the phoenix said. "Just like the something that just happened here. Kiddo threw a shuriken that barely missed Rider. It asked where the Weewoo was docking, and said there was something they needed to discuss."
Ikkin looked at the phoenix suspiciously. "Why would the ninja want to discuss anything with Rider?" She tried to free her own note, opening it up to read.
"I don't know. I also don't know why Rider told them they were going to Tabloid Town harbor... they're ninja, why would she want them to know?"
"Tabloid Town?" Ikkin asked. "That's strange... this note says that the mages should come to Tabloid Town as well, that there's something we might want to know. I wonder if they're connected..."
"Almost certainly," Sev said. "The only question is, how?"
"I suppose we'll have to go there to find out," Ikkin said. "I'll make an announcement to the Mages, and then we can take off."
It took only about an half-hour before they had gotten ready, made the announcement to the mages, and were ready to take off for Tabloid Town. They would wait a little while for any other mages who wanted to come along, and then they would get to the bottom of this mystery.

[shadow=purple,left,300]While Kat drummed the side of the table incessantly with her fingers, she felt something tug at her. Magical intervention, I bet, she thought, almost snickering at that last word. She couldn't recognize many magical signatures, the traces one left after casting a spell or releasing some kind of power, but she could sense Ikkin's very well.
Then it was as if Ikkin herself was speaking in Kat's very mind, but she could hear no voice; Kat could only make out the words.
Come to Tabloid Town...all mages must go to Tabloid Town...
Were the ninja also messing with the mages? Kat screwed up her face in thought. Should she tell the crew?
Well...we're all going to the same place anyway. I wonder if the knights are also being summoned?
The sound of dice being thrown sent her back onto the pirate ship.
"Darn, I lost," she said. "And that was a perfectly good pair of old socks. Must've been yours, Rider."[/shadow]

Ginz was on one of the many rooms in the mannor. After having that really interesting lesson about fire magic, she decided she would practive a bit more, and try to produce pink fire. She just wanted everything she did to have her personal touch.
However, hearing Ikkin's announcement made her lose her focus. She was strangely grateful. She hadn't yet succeded and was getting tired.
"This is really weird, and suspicious," she thought. Ikkin had said to go to Tabloid Town, but she hadn't said why. Ginz was a hopeless optimist, and after a bit of thought, decided it must be a nice surprise. She pocketed Twig, and left to look for Ikkin. She was hoping she was allowed to apparate there. She had a license to do so, afterall.

Like many of her classmates, Omni was practicing fire magic. She was about to attempt an Incendio spell when she heard Ikkin's message.
All Mages to the Tabloids? Now? she thought. She didn't question it much longer though, it was an order from Ikkin after all. Curious, she started heading toward the door of the Manor. She couldn't teleport in any way, so she had to travel the long way. Once outside, she lept into the air and spread her wings. She was still unable to fly much more than a short distance at a time, but having multiple means of travel definitely had it's advantages.

As it turned out, it was a good thing Lady Zari had tripped. A shuriken shot through the space where her head had been just a moment ago, and lodged itself in the wall.
As quickly as she had come, Fj0rd disappeared again. She instantly appeared in her room at the ninja's HQ, her hair and clothes only slightly rumpled by the teleport.
"That's the Knights, then," she murmured. The shuriken she'd thrown had a message on it: To the Knights: Come to Tabloid Town. There is something you need to know. She hadn't bothered signing it, as she hadn't signed any of the others. Her handwriting was distinctive enough, that is, if they could decipher it.
She settled back down on a cushion in front of her low table to mark off an item from her To-Do list.
There were only a few more things left on it. Fj0rd scanned the list, and nodded. She had to finish her preparations here, and see if there were any more ninja who could come along. Then she'd tell them all what they were doing, if they didn't know already, and they would teleport off to meet the others in Tabloid Town.
Well... if meet was the right word.

Ikkin noticed Ginz as she walked by her place in the main hall, and called out to her. "Hey, Ginz, do you want to come along with me? Sev can take us to Tabloid Town much quicker than we could walk, and it might be good to come together. I don't know why we've been summoned there, and I think I'd feel better about it if we went together."
Sev snorted. "I love how you volunteer me for things like this without asking."
"Oh, come on, Sev," she said. "You want to go there as much as we do, and it's not like it takes you any extra effort to transport other people."
"That's what you think," he said.
"Anyway," Ikkin said, turning to Ginz, "I'm just waiting to see if a few more mages might want to come, if you want to wait with me."

Ginz was glad she found Ikkin. She had hoped she hadn't already left.
"Sure thing! I'd rather go together too." she replied, changing her plans. Apparating was usually very convenient, but she liked the idea of going as a group. She didn't know what to expect, or what to do when she got there. The instructions weren't specific.
"So you don't know why we've been summoned, either?" Ginz asked curiously as they waited. "Any theories?"

"I'm not really sure," Ikkin said. "It was fairly suspicious; I had Sev watching the pirate ship for me, so I'd know if I was needed there, and he came back and said that the ninja had thrown a note on a kunai at the pirates asking where they were docking... and Rider actually told them. Then, a similar note shows up here, telling us to meet at Tabloid Town Harbor. I have to wonder if the pirates and ninja might be in league with each other, but I have no clue why, considering the rivalry...
"That's why I'd rather be careful... There's very few things more suspicious than pirates and ninja working together."

"Pirates and Ninja working together?" Ginz asked in disbelief. "It makes no sense!
"I thought only the Mages had been called, but I guess this is a bigger thing that I thought. I can't imagine who could be behind it." Ginz absentmindedly put her hand in her pocket to check her wand was safe there. She hoped she wouldn't need it, but it was good to be prepared for anything.

Post by Tirilia on Feb 19, 2007 4:24:46 GMT -5
Tirilia, the Scarlet Knight, had been wandering the halls of the Knights Castle for over three hours now. Her favored outfit billowing casually around her. Deep in thought, the last thing she expected to break her concentration was to hear someone scolding 'Language!'. Rounding a corner she finds Zari on the floor, gathering up her poems, scattered like discarded ticker tape across the floor. Smiling under the satin slip that covers the lower half of her face, she begins to kneel to pick up a sheet of paper at her feet when a glint of metal catches her eye. Standing again her eyes narrow at the metal shape embedded in the wall. Striding past Zari, she pulls the shuriken from the wall, turning it in her hands to find the message left by Fj0rd. A frown creases her brow as she scans the handwriting and a brush of her fingertips across the metal delivers knowledge into her mind. "Fj0rd... What reasons should the Ninja Clan have to contact us in such an uncouth manner?" She turns to Lady Zari, her eyes glinting with the faintest hint of scarlet. "Where is Lord Wolf? We must notify him immediately"
