I've been thinking about this, and I really don't like the idea of just slapping a label on somebody suddenly, especially one like this. You never know how they might react/feel about it. I will *puts paw down* NOT follow along with this ...even if it seems Rider herself is going to. >_> It's just... wrong. It's Rider- we knew how she was going to react. j;) We wouldn't have done it to anyone if we thought that it might upset them. And we all knew that Rider would probably just think it was funny. (Plus, she's a mod, and that's kind of like wearing a 'Kick me' sign around here... >.>)

I swore revenge so she something was coming. It's just some ribbing between friends. I don't even know why I'm bothering to defend this, in fact.

I don't care if she's a zombie or not, I still love her. T_T [glow=red,2,300]*leans her smelly head on Meowthy's shoulder* ^_^ <3 Mera, the first time I've seen you in ages, and you write a poem about my undeadness... T_T *bites you* [/glow] ! *zombie'd still* Honestly, I've been tempting fate by working 40 hours a week and taking 5 classes a week. So pretty much, I've been dead everywhere xD But HI TO YOU TOO, ZOMBIE BITER xD

*reads above posts* ...Even so, I'm not going to follow along with it. >_< The thing is that zombie-fying people isn't exactly mean because we all know that we honestly don't THINK she's a zombie or anything horrible. It's kinda like how my best friends at school know what bothers me, and do it because it bothers me, but I'm not bothered by THEM, because it's... them? ANd they're not doing it to be mean, but to be silly.

You don't have to go along with it, Omni. It's fine if you don't. But what we've done isn't by any means wrong. And by posting what you have, what you're doing is condemning us for doing something that you, and you alone, don't feel right about.
One of the big qualifications of being a mod is someone who has a pretty good sense of humor. We never really say it outright, but when you look at who gets chosen, it's always those that know how to have a good time and make fun of themselves just as easily, because mods are natural targets for all sorts of hijinx. A lot of our threads in ModSquad easily get derailed by jokes and poking at each other. Rider and I tend to be the biggest targets to poke at, too.
Tracy is a doofus. Rider is a zombie. Kiddo's a bloodthirsty, ravenous, maniacal killing machine. It's always Crystal's fault. Chesh has no spine. Stal doesn't know how to ever shut up and carries a whiteboard with him (wait...that one's true...<.<;; ). All these are typical mod-to-mod jokes. And they're always taken in good humor. There's been times where things have gotten out of hands and some mods haven't respected boundaries of others, but those times have always been few and far between and never permanently damaging. Other than that, we allow open season on each other. It's what our friendship enables.
When you know people as well as we've gotten to know each other, you know what you can get away with and the other person won't be offended by. And that's what we do to each other.
No one's making a fuss about it. Rider's having a grand ol' time with it. This'll probably go into NTWF legend, and may even become established mythos. And I wouldn't doubt that she's plotting vengeance on a certain phoenix-blessed fox-fae.
So you don't have to go along with it. But your reasons for not going along with it aren't applicable to this situation. And if you want to be consistent, then you'll have to give up going along with all the other jokes about any of our mods, as they've all just sprang up and been labelled on the person. But you could've kept it to yourself unless asked about it personally, y'know? If you'd known there was a problem, that'd be another matter (we recently just dealt with such an issue, where a joke was made and someone didn't like it, but didn't come to us and acknowledge that there was a problem, so no one ever knew until someone else took everyone to task over it), but otherwise what you're doing is looking self-righteous on the matter. Or like you condemn us for something. And that's not cool, either.
So why don't we just drop this issue right now, unless Rider wants to give a shocking revelation that she truly is offended by all this, or has something to say in general, as it's rather presumptuous for us to discuss this in her absence, ne?

*reads above posts* ...Even so, I'm not going to follow along with it. >_< XDD Well, to be quite honest though, I find this kind of funny. If Rider couldn't take a little ribbing like this, she wouldn't be half the person she is. Part of being friends is teasing. Heck, that's what the entire Splatterboard is about. C'mon, guys, castrated at the age of two with a spork? You didn't think I took that seriously did you? I judge teasing by intent. Sometimes, like in this thread, we don't mean at all to hurt Rider. We want Rider to laugh. If we want her to hurt, that's bad. OR, since it still seems to bother you, look at it another way. Do you know how much effort we put into making Rider a zombie? Changing her profile, taking the time out to write all those lengthy testimonials, drawing all those zombie Rider pictures for laughs. Do you really think that we'd have put so very much effort into making Rider the center of attention - heck, this entire thread is dedicated to her! if we didn't, in a twisted kind of way, really care about her? Oh, seriously now. Every time I submit anything to the Neopian Times or even occasionally in DeviantArt, I get a heap of requests from total strangers, begging me to draw their characters, or their comics for them. I ALWAYS say no. And then I turn around and spend hours and hours drawing silly little stuff that depicts Rider as a zombie. You think I'd do that if she wasn't my friend and if I didn't truly care about her? Making this thread alone takes time and effort. Time I don't have, and time none of the people who made this thread do. Time dedicated to Rider, because we cared about her. In a twisted sort of way. To sum up: Malice is bad. Fun is not. Laughing at Rider for being a zombie is absolutely laughable. And I can't believe I just posted such a long post for that nasty, stinkin' undead capn' over there D: EDIT: DAAAAUUUGH! I was just ninja'd by the mod with the works-cited lists!

...Just let me a few more things.
I wasn't trying to condemn anyone for doing what I this is wrong, I was trying to make a stand for what I think is right. I wasn't trying to be hard about what I was saying. I'm not trying to impose my values on anybody. I'm not trying to do this to look 'cool' or anything. I don't care if I'm picked on, or made unpopular, or anything for this. I'm just trying to do what I feel is right.
As a couple side notes: I don't usually go to the Spatterboard, nor can I access the Mod Squad, so I wouldn't have known about this. Also, I prefur puns to sarcasm and teasing.

*reads Stal's and Crystal's posts* I agree with them... and I finally found that video... though where I found it, was unusual. It was in the Cap'n's.. err... zombie's room. There were two version. This one I'm about to show you... and her sucking my brains out. I'll show you a short clip.

As a couple side notes: I don't usually go to the Spatterboard, or to the Mod Squad, so I wouldn't have known about this. Also, I prefur puns to sarcasm and teasing. First off, you won't be picked on or made unpopular because of this. No one here is that cruel. Second, maybe you were just standing up for what you believe to be right. But in so doing, you're saying that everyone else is wrong. You are, in essence, trying to impose your views on people. Maybe not intentionally, but it is implied. You have to pick your battles. This is no means a mandatory participatory thing. But what you've done is shown you're unfamiliar with the way a lot of our humor and jokes work around here and have made a huff over nothing. Maybe it's over what you feel is right, but you don't always have to be vocal about something you believe in. You have to choose your battles, weigh each situation, and actually be familiar with what's going on. Otherwise, you'll end up with a foot in your mouth, or eating your words. And trust me on this one...neither taste good. EDIT -- Once a ninja, always a ninja, Crystal. Maybe if you hadn't been so...wordy?

Omni, I'm not trying to attack you here, but I don't understand what you're sticking up for... I mean, putting labels on someone? If you're talking about stereotypes and the such... well I don't think Zombie qualifies as one of them. Like Stal and Crystal said, it's all good-natured fun.
Also, I think it's a bit rude to go around saying that the whole zombie thing is stupid. We enjoy it. Obviously you don't, but don't try to ruin it for others.
