XDXD I only do that when I'm really mad. Trying to get an 'A' in hard mode in Mad Space for example. XD But yeah, we're getting off topic. ...so? XD ...Kuro. That mission was easy. EXCEPT FOR THE THIRD EMERALD ;_;

I hate swearing. Hate it with a loathing. And yet, ironically, due to kids at school, scouts, and other places, my lesser swear words, I fear, are becoming swear words. -_- I have no idea what it means, if it means anything at all, but the current lesser cuss I use is "shazbot". I hope it counts as a lesser swear word, because it sounds better than the foul four-lettered words.

IMO, swearing isn't the worst thing in the world. Yes, many people think of it as vulgar and crude - and sometimes, I do too. But, there are things worse than swearing.
For example, if someone says to me "F--- you!" I won't really react; that doesn't bug me because it's so overused that it really doesn't mean much anymore. However, if someone starts saying I'm ugly, I have no friends, or - even worse - insulting my family, I'm going to freak out at them. On occasion, I'll say a retort, but most of the time I'll just start punching them and kicking them and trying to hurt them.
My brothers have never driven me to tears saying "F--- you b----" but they have driven me to tears before by telling me I have no friends, and how fat and ugly I am.
So, IMO, swearing can be bad at times - like when every other word is a swear - but using it as an insult is just so overused, it doesn't really have a meaning any more.

Today, people swear so often that half the people have no idea what they're saying, therefore are useing the words completely out of context. IF however they were using them in context, I would be hurt. But I really hate insults with some meaning behind it. If you want to make someone upset, don't swear, insult the h--- out of them! When will people learn...

The thing is, I don't think swearing should be so common. That's the whole problem. Those words are now being used by third graders so they can't act cool, but they don't even know what they mean!

Course it shouldn't. But it is, because people see it as "adult" (I will not call it sophisticated), and don't realise how bad it really is. Heh. Only about in grade 6/7 kids decide to get curious and re-discover the dictionary and find exactly what was the big deal with those "potty-mouth" words.

I have no problem with cursing and actually, I curse a lot myself in real life. Not as much on the computer ('cept with my friends) but I say sh*t a lot and a certian word that starts with an F. And just about every curse word in the book. But usually not in front of my parents. Just in front of my friends. I know it's not exactly right but I don't make a big deal if someone curses.

I think the amount of swearing that comes out of my mouth is going to decrease now because I don't do any sport in school anymore. I remember when I had to stand outside the changing rooms for swearing, but the idiot teacher wouldn't let me stop even though I had Asthma. I only really swear when I am telling jokes to my mum which involve swear words.

I think that I could probably hold a lecture series on swearing. ^_^; I'm of the firm belief that there is a time and place for the swear. The problem is that people overuse cussin' to the extent that it's starting to loose some effect.
I actually don't consider b**** to be a curse, but I guess that could be just me. The way I see it, it's just as rude to call someone a cow. I no longer use s*** unless actually refering to feces, as I have started using 'ish'. in it's place. Hell is a place, and I akin the stigma around it to the fear of characters in Harry Potter of saying Voldemort.
Swearing for Comedic Effect- I know that a swear incorrectly use can greatly detract from the humor of a joke. However, I happen to have the advantage of being an inocent looking young lady. ^.~ When you give off the impression of being intellegent or cultured, it is somehow strange and effective when you pull out a big gun. For example, my friend was feeling very down because she was changing jobs. I wanted to cheer her up, and I knew she was a fan of Jay-Z. I walked up to her, and with my most hoighty and deadpan voice I could manage, I said, "If you're having girl problems, I feel bad for you son. I've got 99 problems, but a b**** ain't one." It really made her laugh, and it was nice to see her smile again.
I could definitely keep going, but I really have to end it here due to time constraints.
