I hate my parents. They won't listen to me! gosh darn it! *glares* I stated my opinion about the war with Iraq.
It snowballed from there. My arguement
"HOW DOES SOILDERS KILLING EACH OTHER SOLVE THE WORLD'S PROBLEMS?!?!"
THey attempt to explain.
"Other countries aren't agreeing with us. That should tell us something!"
"But they didn't lose 3,000 people on 9-11"
I don't care. Well I do but at the same time this is so RANDOM!
We go around like we're on top of the world and a lot of countries don't like that. Just because Japan bombed us and did X damage does that mean we multiply X damage by Y damage and make it worse? Does that mean we go around sticking our noses into politcal matters where they don't belong? Does that justify forcing native americans out of their homes to make them live on reservations in the middle of nowhere?
I swear if there's one thing I get out of Ms. D's history class this year it's "The USA is NOT always right."
Does signing a piece of paper make land ours? Does it not effect other people who live in that land? Does war solve anything?
No, it doesn't. It leads to more tensions. Countries hate us. They have valid reasons for it. We're not the kings of the world. Nor should we be.
There's a thing called independance. People need to learn it.

My opinion is that, why do people hate each other, why do people love each other, why do people start wars? What if the Earth united into one piece of land again? Is it some sort of curse?

It's times like this I feel good Canada is staying out of the whole affair. We're loyal to Britain, and if they go to war, we follow.
I think the whole idea is just sickening. Guns and bombs are used so 'X' country can get 'Z' country to listen. And I really don't know many details, so I don't know which contry is which. Just stupid...

The answer is very simple. Think of any good book you have ever read. Was there romance? Was their anger? Were there problems that needed to be solved? Of course there were. Basicly, life is like a book or a play. Without problems, there wouldn't be any plot!

I'm not sure exactly where I stand on this whole matter. All I can do is quote a very wise tiger:
"The problem with people is that they're only human."

Basicly, America is the X country and Iraq is the the Z country because some people in America X are afraid that if given time Iraq Z will become Iraq X and then America Z will be dead. It's all very complicated, and there is no clear-cut right answer.

It's all very complicated, and there is no clear-cut right answer. It's just screwed. *sighs* I'm sorry for even starting this topic, but I feel quite strongly that we shouldn't go to war.

Sheesh, you should replace all those blabbering idiots at CNN.

Moose o-O I wish I were livin' up in Canada still... I hate war.
I believe someone should hit Bush senseless with a good mallet. -nods- Or someone should kick him outta office...

At first, I supported the war, but now my thoughts are mixed. There really is no reason to go to war with Iraq...I think we just need to send in one sniper to get Saddam and that would be the end of it. But, no, we have to break into the heavy artillery. I'm glad that most of the people at the UN don't think there is enough evidence, because I agree...
America feels obligated to be the top of the world, the cream of the crop...but we just AREN'T. No one is, and no one ever will be. If they really have weapons hidden, then, well, we'll know when they start using them. I guess everyone is just jumping to conclusions because they are afraid of another attack like 9/11.
That is why I am pretty much undecided...so, I think America should just leave it alone and forget all about it.

Just because we can't find osama, does that mean we have to bomb Iraq?

Suddam has friends, and if Suddam falls his friends will just pick up the slack. And forgetting about it wouldn't help. Not trying to argue against everything you're saying, but Iraq would just pounce on America while they're just shoving their fingers in their ears. And if they do that, there's no way they're going to hear Iraq coming...
