Ten more days, Kat! And then there'll be the Fyora issue to look forward to. W00T. Then I can actually spam this thread with cries of, "Die, Xantan, DIEEEEEEEE!" And I can spam the thread with, “Go, Kat, GOOOOOOOO!” And Xantan can spam the dungeon with, “No… nooo… NOOOOOOO!” And Rohane and team can spam the desert with, “Water… water… WAAAAATER!” Then you started playing NQ and dropping in for hints and updating your current status. What IS your current InSaNe status, anyway? Done with Mr. Undead Kougra Who Can't Fight Without His Skeletal Minions? Yeah, and everyone was so friendly that I hung around to do it all over again. And again. XD I might have still played NQII to the end even without this thread for support, but chatting about it is what really makes it enjoyable, since the gameplay is very basic. Yup, there’s no Revenant of the undead monsters left in the Palace of Ancient Kings anymore. I’ve been running circles around the Hermit and finally located his oasis. Mipsy: Palm trees! Rohane: All around the place, too. Time for this again. *swings sword* HYAAAAH! *palm trees fall in water* *SPLASH* Mipsy: *walks across palm tree bridge* Hi, mister! Alpha-three-seven-tango-echo-nine! Hermit: YOU KIDS GET OFF MY SAND DUNES! Nah, others would pop in too - Fj0rd, Sia, Sirius, Blub, Kitty, Cara, Scheff, Fortune...to name a few. Pity some of them are gone now or have largely retired. *le sigh* Told you we were young and crazy and obsessed at that time. Except me - I'm still young, crazy and obsessed. ^_^ Well, it helps my NT count. Yeah, it was nice having them around. I miss seeing the older members, but I suppose that’s how life goes. I dropped off the face of the Internet for about a year in an attempt to focus on the real world and break myself of my crazy, obsessive youth, but now I think I’d rather enjoy this time while I’m still young enough to have an excuse for being crazy and obsessive. ^^ True, true. It's like, pink mazes over sand, sand, and SAND. I think I'll go with the mazes. Besides, doesn't anyone like, perish from heatstroke? Rohane: W…w…waaaateeeer… For Fyora’s sake hand me a healing potion! Velm: You don’t need one. *waves staff* I believe you are now in perfect physical health. You have nothing to complain about. Rohane: *glare* Talinia, did you hear me? Talinia: They’re all empty, remember? Rohane: Then… we’ve got… to find… some… *drags self across sand* Mipsy: Yay, now we can finish building the castle! Try to find some Vitality Potions—they’re just the right shape for the turrets! =D Go for it! ...I should get back to writing stories about my own pets too, you know. XDDDDDD But nooooooo, I started with a back story for Rohane, graduated to a series of series about him and his big brother, and it doesn't stop there. Help, I've gone InSaNe! Oh, wait, I already have. And you just reminded me that I really haven't given the other characters much thought. *face palm* Reuben, I blame you. The only answer is to keep writing till all the stories are done, and be a Legend several times over. My pets already have backstories (except Quiggler, who came into this world in a perpetual state of happiness) and I want to write them, but I keep getting sidetracked. Oh yeah! =D That was awesome. And yet, Roy can be useful in the rain. It just has some very...ah, explosive consequences. Yeah; that’s why Riza is always on hand to take care of things if his efforts don’t go as planned. *cracks up* Glue...someone get me the glue! XDDDDDDDDD Rohane: Here. *hands over glue* It’s made of those sticky bandages I keep finding on mummies. 16-year-old Kat: Awww, it’s like… like he’s letting you share in the glue of love that bonds him and Talinia together! 19-year-old Kat: NO! NOT YOU AGAIN! *beats into submission* Hmmm...I'm reminded of that time I dropped into the NQ Neoboards and someone thought Talinia was a guy, and another someone thought Velm was a girl (probably 'cause he sometimes looks like he's wearing a skirt). Velm: It's not a skirt, it's a ROBE! Mipsy: It doesn't matter, it swishes around whenever you strike a cool battle pose anyway. Velm: At least I can move better than SOME PEOPLE. *anime-style evil eye glint* Rohane: *anime-style throbbing forehead vein* Hey! XDDDD Now I’m looking at Velm as he’s fighting these possessed skeletons and suddenly seeing how someone could think he was a girl. It’s actually understandable. Velm: What?! But the MUSCLES! Look at my rippling muscles! What, those tiny bumps? Sure, I bet it really builds the biceps to hang in back swinging that stick around. That healing staff must be so heavy. Velm: *anime throbbing forehead veins pop up* *pwink pwink* I’LL SHOW YOU! GRAAAH! *runs at enemy* Velm crushes a possessed skeleton for 5 damage! Velm: Owwww! I think I strained my arm! Someone should like, make comics out of these. XD I love the idea of making scale models of everything with potion bottles. Mipsy: That's like, the ugliest castle I've ever seen. Velm: ...it's you, Mipsy. XDDDDDDD Don’t tempt me to suggest that I draw these up and send them in as collaborations. Yay. ^_^ Put white Weewoo plushies and action figures and NT paraphernalia in it too! It wouldn’t be the Catacombs without all that. ^_^ Hrm, adding some descriptive paragraphs about those things would lengthen the series segments, too. Yeah, they are funny, although I didn't understand them till I started playing. I wonder if there could be a comic with gags and a story that could be accessible even to non-NQ players. True, true. Although some I've read make sense even if you've never played the game or what not. Yeah. Of course, the full value is only understood by the fans of the game, as with most fan work or culture references.

And I can spam the thread with, “Go, Kat, GOOOOOOOO!” And Xantan can spam the dungeon with, “No… nooo… NOOOOOOO!” And Rohane and team can spam the desert with, “Water… water… WAAAAATER!” Me: *leisurely enjoys a tall, icy cold glass of water while playing* ^_^ Mmmkay, I think I know how to defeat Xantan. Get a bunch of little kids to go make mud pies out of him. Yeah, and everyone was so friendly that I hung around to do it all over again. And again. XD I might have still played NQII to the end even without this thread for support, but chatting about it is what really makes it enjoyable, since the gameplay is very basic. Alpha-three-seven-tango-echo-nine! Hermit: YOU KIDS GET OFF MY SAND DUNES! *hugs* Yeah! And it's fun to hear where people are, and whine 'cause when you whine, you'll get free help. ^_^ I smell a series of comics going like this. XD And ending with Anubits saying, "And I would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!" *thinks back to series recently submitted* Ah, but in here, I clearly indicated that Rohane is 18 by the time he's up to Terask II. =D I thought 16 or 17 was pushing it, so I kicked it up a notch. ^^ Well, I managed to break myself of my crazy, obsessive youth too. ...sort of. Still, it's nice to see you back. ^_^ Unfortunately, Kat can see herself ducking into Neopets for stress relief even when she's already taking some kind of post-graduate studies. XDDDD Or even when she's working. Boss: KAT! Where are those files you were supposed to alphabetize?! Kat: I'm working on them! Just a few more words and I can submit this series...and squeeze in a battle with Zombom...Rohane: W…w…waaaateeeer… For Fyora’s sake hand me a healing potion! Velm: You don’t need one. *waves staff* I believe you are now in perfect physical health. You have nothing to complain about. Rohane: *glare* Talinia, did you hear me? Try to find some Vitality Potions—they’re just the right shape for the turrets! XDDDDDDDDDDD I'm smiling like a maniac right now. If I laugh, my mom will ask why I'm laughing and I wouldn't be able to explain. Hermit: My water. MIIIIIIIIINE. *sees the entire party collapse from thirst* All right, all right, you can have some! *frantic* Mipsy: *winks at everyone* I knew he'd fall for it. The only answer is to keep writing till all the stories are done, and be a Legend several times over. My pets already have backstories (except Quiggler, who came into this world in a perpetual state of happiness) and I want to write them, but I keep getting sidetracked. *stares at unwritten ideas in distant corner of mind* I procrastinate, therefore I am. XDDDDDDD Angel, Sweet, Glitter and Fluffy have long established themselves as my pets, but the others will be living in a different world that's...well, not exactly of Neopia. Three of them will be royalty, and the others will be their loyal subjects. ^_^ Yeah; that’s why Riza is always on hand to take care of things if his efforts don’t go as planned. I know, right? <3 *resists urge to go 'ship-happy* And Hughes. Hughes is adorable whenever he spazzes about his family. ^_^ Plus, he can also kick butt. When he has to. Rohane: Here. *beats into submission* 16-year-old Kat: D= Y-y-you wouldn't hurt an innocent little girl like me, would you? 19-year-old Kat: No. But you're far from innocent, you demented incarnation of sheer evil. >_> Now get out of here! Okay, I mean, listen to me, little missy, or else I'm telling on you! 16-year-old Kat: *cowers in fear* XDDDD Now I’m looking at Velm as he’s fighting these possessed skeletons and suddenly seeing how someone could think he was a girl. It’s actually understandable. Velm: What?! But the MUSCLES! Look at my rippling muscles! What, those tiny bumps? Sure, I bet it really builds the biceps to hang in back swinging that stick around. I think I strained my arm! I thought of Jorgen from Fairly Oddparents. XDDDDDDD Buff and in love with his muscles (and the Tooth Fairy, of course). Mipsy: *giggles* Rohane: *raises eyebrow* Okay, let me take care of that for you. Velm: NO! I can handle this on my own, thank you very much! Mipsy: Watching you try to salvage what's left of your self-esteem should be fun. ^_^ XDDDDDDD Don’t tempt me to suggest that I draw these up and send them in as collaborations. I won't. I'll simply casually drop hints about drawing some of these ideas we've been throwing around and submitting them as collaborations between you and me. XD It wouldn’t be the Catacombs without all that. ^_^ Hrm, adding some descriptive paragraphs about those things would lengthen the series segments, too. Ooh, yes! =D It's fun describing our own little place. Yeah. Of course, the full value is only understood by the fans of the game, as with most fan work or culture references. You just made me feel like the NQ equivalent of an otaku. XDDDDD

Speaking of which, I just beat Coltzan at Level 37 (I was almost at 38, but was impatient because my Internet was being slow). Now to walk all the way back across the desert. *thinks back to series recently submitted* Ah, but in here, I clearly indicated that Rohane is 18 by the time he's up to Terask II. =D I thought 16 or 17 was pushing it, so I kicked it up a notch. Yeah, at those ages he’d practically still be a kid, although that doesn’t keep a vast number of fictional heroes from being even younger. Well, I managed to break myself of my crazy, obsessive youth too. ...sort of. Still, it's nice to see you back. ^_^ Unfortunately, Kat can see herself ducking into Neopets for stress relief even when she's already taking some kind of post-graduate studies. Plus, if my parents can hear me clicking from the room next to mine, they’re definitely going to wonder if I start randomly bursting out into wild laughter every so often. ^_^ XD I’m a horrible procrastinator; for nearly all the special NT issues I’ve been in, I submitted at the last minute, sometimes just a few days before the issue came out. The fact that I’ve had so much experience with this scenario is mostly why I’ve started work on my Issue 400 series so early. I know, right? <3 *resists urge to go 'ship-happy* And Hughes. Hughes is adorable whenever he spazzes about his family. ^_^ Plus, he can also kick butt. When he has to. Hughes is one of my favorite characters. He’s great fun to read about, like when he calls Roy at work to babble about his wife and daughter. XD I wish… …he hadn’t died so early in the story. D: 16-year-old Kat: D= Y-y-you wouldn't hurt an innocent little girl like me, would you? 19-year-old Kat: No. But you're far from innocent, you demented incarnation of sheer evil. >_> Now get out of here! Of course, we already did that with our scripts. XD) It's kind of a rushed job; I don't like the last panel. But hey, I drew it. XD Ooh, yes! =D It's fun describing our own little place. I think my Issue 400 series is turning into a lengthy love letter to the NTWF. It’s kind of a tribute/memoir of sorts. I really hope it gets in. Yeah. Of course, the full value is only understood by the fans of the game, as with most fan work or culture references. You just made me feel like the NQ equivalent of an otaku. Kid: Mommy, Mommy, look what I made for you! Mud Pie: GRRRRRR… Mommy: I think it’s about time you stopped playing in the swamp. And who says I only muck about in NQII? Get it? MUCK? *shot* XDDDDDD Besides, if that NQ hero's plushie wasn't so honkin' RARITY 99... >_> XDDDD Something like that. Speaking of which, I just beat Coltzan at Level 37 (I was almost at 38, but was impatient because my Internet was being slow). Now to walk all the way back across the desert. There, you'll be at 38 in no time! *brick'd* And congrats - even if Coltzan's not much trouble. I feel sorry for the guy though. Yeah, at those ages he’d practically still be a kid, although that doesn’t keep a vast number of fictional heroes from being even younger. I know. That's why I edited the age; young heroes are becoming staggeringly cliché, although the faerie who makes a comment seems to not know the other fictional heroes who start saving the world before they hit puberty. She says, "Heroes are getting younger these days." XD Which means now Reuben has to be at least 21, ahahahaha! ... Aw, fudge. I turn 20 this year. XDDDDDD I can see you doing that. And sadly, I can see myself doing it too. I don’t want to let go of this place either. We could be chatting to each other and ranting about our work. XD XDDDD I smile like a maniac a lot when I’m online, because I never laugh out loud at stuff I read on websites. Plus, if my parents can hear me clicking from the room next to mine, they’re definitely going to wonder if I start randomly bursting out into wild laughter every so often. I managed to laugh out loud when I watched anime on the PC, but luckily no one was around. XDDDDDD And there was the time I was grumbling at every boss I killed. I was alone when I tried to race, and I'd say things like, "Aw, crud!" and, "Just DIE already!" XD I’m a horrible procrastinator; for nearly all the special NT issues I’ve been in, I submitted at the last minute, sometimes just a few days before the issue came out. The fact that I’ve had so much experience with this scenario is mostly why I’ve started work on my Issue 400 series so early. Well, that's good. ^_^ And now people are submitting too early. I won't submit till next week, so I have the weekend to tweak the story some more and pop it into the submission form. And YOSH! I submitted another short story yesterday! Hughes is one of my favorite characters. He’s great fun to read about, like when he calls Roy at work to babble about his wife and daughter. XD I wish… …he hadn’t died so early in the story. D: Yeah! I like him a lot. In fact, his being a family man is one of the things I like about Hughes. Urrrrr. This is the reason why I hate Envy. I know it's a very petty reason to hate him, but yeah. Not that this actually makes sense without knowing about the potion bottle sculptures beforehand. (You'd have to build up the joke in previous comics. Of course, we already did that with our scripts. XD) It's kind of a rushed job; I don't like the last panel. But hey, I drew it. XD I think it would make sense even without the potion bottle sculpture story. XDDDDDD It's a touch of utter randomness that makes you wonder what REALLY goes on whenever you click. XD Still, it would be nice to draw them working on that scale model of Meridell Castle... SUBMIT IT. And that one's entirely your idea, so I can sink into the shadows and giggle with the rest of the readers. I think my Issue 400 series is turning into a lengthy love letter to the NTWF. It’s kind of a tribute/memoir of sorts. I really hope it gets in. It will. ;D And awwww, that's sweet! My issue 400 story is only a back story for a certain AnHJ character who needed it. XDDDD Well, if there are such things as NQ otakus, you’d probably be about the closest thing. *brick’d* There'd be two kinds of otakus - those who take the game seriously and race each other to see who finishes first, and those who enjoy the...erm, finer aspects. They should make plushies of the NQII monsters—like the spiffy Desert Guardians and Ice Krawks. AND CLOUDBEASTS. And hey, I never knew you could buy Mipsy’s costume at the NC Mall. That’s what I get for not paying any attention to Customization, I guess. They need to make Rohane/Velm/Talinia wearables. The Neoquest Wizard Slacks make me think of Vivi from Final Fantasy IX, though. XD There, you'll be at 38 in no time! *brick'd* And congrats - even if Coltzan's not much trouble. I feel sorry for the guy though. Yeah, so do I; he’s my favorite boss of the Lost Desert because he’s not completely evil and has some story. But at least beating his lights out ends up helping him. I'm suddenly thinking of deviating from the usual skill sets I give the characters in this game. I was going to go with Shockwave for Talinia and already put one skill point into it, but then I read a case for why Ranged Attacks is better, and am tempted to use that instead because of how often enemies resist stunning in later stages. Though I realize Insane is not the best time to be experimenting with skill sets. Haha, I turn 17. I know it’s not really that old but it feels weird because I feel like no matter how old I get, I’ll still always be the same kid inside. *is never going to grow up, hence why she’ll still be playing Neopets at work years from now* And yeah, young heroes are cliché, but I always liked them anyway because it was easier to relate to kids. Or maybe I just liked the idea of someone my age saving the world. We could be chatting to each other and ranting about our work. XD Yep. XD “I’m never going to get this Issue 650 story finished if my boss doesn’t keep coming in to check my progress on the report I’m supposed to be writing!” I managed to laugh out loud when I watched anime on the PC, but luckily no one was around. XDDDDDD And there was the time I was grumbling at every boss I killed. I was alone when I tried to race, and I'd say things like, "Aw, crud!" and, "Just DIE already!" That’s normal behavior while playing a game. XD Though I’m more likely to say things in response to a game if someone’s watching me play, for their benefit. Well, that's good. ^_^ And now people are submitting too early. I won't submit till next week, so I have the weekend to tweak the story some more and pop it into the submission form. And YOSH! I submitted another short story yesterday! Good luck! What’s it about? Yeah, I’m not sure what the exact window of opportunity for submitting is, but I think the panic about the NT being busy and fear of submitting too late has caused the exact opposite problem. It’d probably be inconvenient for Droplet to keep stories waiting for two whole months, and unfair to others who didn’t think of submitting so early. It does make me nervous that someone’s series was submitted for an earlier issue (which is what I’m planning on doing) and rejected, but it’s possible that was also too early. Yeah! I like him a lot. In fact, his being a family man is one of the things I like about Hughes. Urrrrr. This is the reason why I hate Envy. I know it's a very petty reason to hate him, but yeah. Yeah, it’s nice to see a character so dedicated to his family and still very much a part of the team. It’s not petty to hate him because he brought one of the best characters an early death. I don’t like Envy, him being a villain and Hughes’s murderer and all, but I think he’s more interesting than some of the other homunculi. Envy’s pretty freaky, though. Especially in the form of that giant demon beast with the people hanging off of him that he took in the fight where Ed and Al couldn’t transmute. I think it would make sense even without the potion bottle sculpture story. Even so, I would want to have it preceded with the other bottle jokes, because it’s funnier if you know about them. I’d want to submit it after I’d already drawn those and gotten them published. (And probably redraw the last panel.) But I wouldn’t have come up with any of this if I hadn’t been talking to you on this thread! My main comic series is The Happiest Quiggle, and I only do different ones when they’re collabs. It will. ;D And awwww, that's sweet! My issue 400 story is only a back story for a certain AnHJ character who needed it. I’ll be curious to know how this ties in with Issue 400 themes. XDDDD Well, if there are such things as NQ otakus, you’d probably be about the closest thing. *brick’d* There'd be two kinds of otakus - those who take the game seriously and race each other to see who finishes first, and those who enjoy the...erm, finer aspects. XDDDDDDD And we all know which one you’d be. XDDDDD Theorizing about games is often more fun than actually playing them. Which is why I have more fanfiction than completed video games.

Okay. I beat the Archmagus of Roo at level 34. That's the scariest NQ battle I've had this game. I'm equipped with my life staff, and I'm at the entrance to the Techo Caves. This looks like a good stopping point, for now. No touching NQ for the rest of the weekend. I've got two comic pages to finish tomorrow, then another one to have ready for Thursday.

*just looked up the plushie on NeoItems* Hey, there’s a bunch of plushies of the Lupe and Golem enemies. They should make plushies of the NQII monsters—like the spiffy Desert Guardians and Ice Krawks. AND CLOUDBEASTS. Yeah! They have Bionic Cybunny plushies, anyway, so I don't see why they shouldn't immortalize the other monsters, although I'd understand if the set wasn't complete; that's A LOT of monsters. XD *perks up* You could? Are you talking about the Wizarding Apprentice cloak thingamajigger? It doesn't look like anything Mipsy's ever worn; the NQ Wizard costume is a lot closer. Still, I want to see more cosplay stuff. So awesome. It would be absolutely fun . They do have the Woodland Archer superpack though. ^^ 'Cept it's green, and Tal doesn't wear green, for the simple reason that she already is. XDDDDDDD Yeah, so do I; he’s my favorite boss of the Lost Desert because he’s not completely evil and has some story. True. Even if I don't like beating the lights out of people. Just blasting the snot out of them will do. I never experimented on InSaNe. Investing in Battle Taunt isn't an experiment; I planned it beforehand to be my only deviation from my typical skill sets. Although yes, I have used RA before and it's handy, even if it can also be just as random as Shockwave. When I invested in RA, I divided the points between it and Shockwave. Me too. Until I became an adult. XD I suppose that was another reason to accelerate my characters' ages. Still, Mipsy *is* young in my story. Youngest of the team. I dunno how I came up with that. Yep. XD “I’m never going to get this Issue 650 story finished if my boss doesn’t keep coming in to check my progress on the report I’m supposed to be writing!” XDDDDDDDD Oh my gosh, and we would still be having convos like these! That’s normal behavior while playing a game. XD Though I’m more likely to say things in response to a game if someone’s watching me play, for their benefit. True, true. XDDDD And same here...if someone were watching me. It's another one of those correspondence things, only with a twist. Plus, Reuben keeps a journal! Or at least, tries to. Yeah...I've been submitting to these issues since 150 and never missed a single 50/00 since then, and I should know that this is indeed too early. Some fans think it's petty to hate Envy for that one reason. But I don't hate Envy to the point that I bash him; he's still interesting in his own freaky way, as you say. Did you read the latest chapters though? XDDDD If he hadn't killed Hughes, I would actually pity him by now. Yay! =D Ehe. Blame the crazy fangirl. XD It's nice to deviate from your typical series every now and then; I should know. I believe there was one point wherein all the stories I wrote for the NT were connected to the A(n)HJ saga. XDDDDDDD Dangit, Reuben, you were only supposed to be a supporting character, but you wound up being fun to write! Don't forget the cracks about the hermits too. I never get tired of hermits shooing crazy adventuring kids off their turf. I’ll be curious to know how this ties in with Issue 400 themes. It's entitled 400 Minutes. I had to calculate and then check my calculations to make sure I had the right time frame. XDDDDD And we all know which one you’d be. XDDDDD Theorizing about games is often more fun than actually playing them. Which is why I have more fanfiction than completed video games. ^^;;; I'd like to race again, but I dunno when that will be. Sem break, I suppose? I might do Evil, since I tried Normal with not much success. Congrats! Archie is a toughie. *tugs on his beard and runs away* >=D

Yeah, and if they were all high rarity, it’d be a nightmare to complete the set. Still, we can always use more NQII merchandise! … They should make real-world toys of Rohane and co. *perks up* You could? Are you talking about the Wizarding Apprentice cloak thingamajigger? It doesn't look like anything Mipsy's ever worn; the NQ Wizard costume is a lot closer. Still, I want to see more cosplay stuff. So awesome. It would be absolutely fun . Yeah, I’m talking about the NQ Wizard costume. Given that it’s called Neoquest Wizard, I think it’s supposed to be Mipsy’s outfit, even if the colors are different. It includes her wand, after all. I don’t seem to be able to find it in the NC Mall right now, though. Yeah, more cosplay would be neat, although if there was too much of it I think we’d have a lot of site character clones running around and less original ideas. I’d like to see more original clothes first. Gah, I was stubbornly avoiding using the NC Mall because the idea of my pets wearing clothing was weird. But now I’m browsing around and wishing they’d release more stuff; I want a tunic for my Shoyru. I’m torturing Sparkler by sticking all these girly hairbows and things on her. XD I guess I could do it to Quiggler since he’s actually a boy, but somehow I don’t think it would bother him as much. I can’t imagine him wearing clothes, though. They do have the Woodland Archer superpack though. ^^ 'Cept it's green, and Tal doesn't wear green, for the simple reason that she already is. XDDDDDDD Yeah, the Woodland Archer set instantly made me think of Talinia, but aside from the quiver it’s not much like her costume. She doesn’t have a cape and doesn’t wear a dress. I didn’t want to experiment on Insane either, but I’ve used the same skill set in the past two games and it only just occurred to me that maybe improvements could be made on it. Maybe I’ll go with the tried-and-true strategy after all, though. After all, I already have the one point in Shockwave. How often did RA usually work, compared to Shockwave? Me too. Until I became an adult. XD I suppose that was another reason to accelerate my characters' ages. Still, Mipsy *is* young in my story. Youngest of the team. I dunno how I came up with that. One good thing about using adult characters is that they have more freedom and independence. Explaining why child heroes never have parental supervision or school obligations is hard to do logically. Mipsy seems like the youngest to me, too, and I’m not sure why. She looks like a bubbly little girl, even if canonically she is an important member of a space crew. *shoves NQII cutscenes off a cliff* XDDDDDDDD Oh my gosh, and we would still be having convos like these! “You can’t expect me to finish this paperwork on Kiko Day, sir—the poets will destroy my lawn!” True, true. XDDDD And same here...if someone were watching me. I wouldn’t let anyone watch me play NeoQuest, though—that’s what this thread is for. :3 It's another one of those correspondence things, only with a twist. Plus, Reuben keeps a journal! Or at least, tries to. Oh, nice, I enjoy those correspondence things when they pop up in the NT. It’ll be interesting to see what Reuben writes down. Rohane: As your brother, I advise you not to say anything that could be used as blackmail material. Reuben: That reminds me, I saw you on Neovision. Rohane: PUT DOWN THE CAMERA MIPSY. Yeah...I've been submitting to these issues since 150 and never missed a single 50/00 since then, and I should know that this is indeed too early. I’ve only gotten into one of them, Issue 250. I had only just started writing for the NT when Issue 200 hit and I was really disappointed that I didn’t get in, so I made an extra effort for 250. I finished writing that short story on the same evening as my Droplet Day story, at 4 AM on one of the days just before I lost Internet for a month during our move. I wrote stuff for 300 and 350 too, but I think I submitted them too late. Some fans think it's petty to hate Envy for that one reason. But I don't hate Envy to the point that I bash him; he's still interesting in his own freaky way, as you say. Did you read the latest chapters though? XDDDD If he hadn't killed Hughes, I would actually pity him by now. I haven’t been keeping up with it for the past couple months, but I just went and read the newest two chapters. I can’t say I feel sorry for him, though; I’ve been waiting for him to die for a long time, and it kept frustrating me that he was always coming back. (For all I know, he still may return later.) He’s caused a lot of mayhem and is generally sneaky and manipulative, without any real redeeming traits, so I don’t have any sympathy for him. Even when Roy was flaming his eyes out. XD Yay! =D Ehe. Blame the crazy fangirl. XD It's nice to deviate from your typical series every now and then; I should know. I believe there was one point wherein all the stories I wrote for the NT were connected to the A(n)HJ saga. I keep meaning to establish my pets as characters, but then I go and write stuff themed around site characters. Nope, the hermits are definitely going to be in. No crazy adventurous kids’ adventure would be complete without one of those. XD It's entitled 400 Minutes. I had to calculate and then check my calculations to make sure I had the right time frame. XDDDDD Don’t you love doing stuff like that to make stories accurate? XDD ^^;;; I'd like to race again, but I dunno when that will be. Sem break, I suppose? I might do Evil, since I tried Normal with not much success. Good luck! If I tried, I know I’d get bored and come on here and spend the whole time posting stuff like this. XD

Yeah, and if they were all high rarity, it’d be a nightmare to complete the set. Still, we can always use more NQII merchandise! … They should make real-world toys of Rohane and co. I know, right? I think a whole lot of the NQ plushies are r99. Someone gave me their Rohane plushie though, so yay~ It came after a fangirl spazz and I melted. ... I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. XD On the good side, the characters *do* need more love, and on the bad side, Kat will just wind up screaming, "WHY doesn't the Philippines stock up on Neo merch?!" at every toy store (and her parents will wonder why on Earth she's suddenly interested in toys - then again, they did buy me a figure of Ed Elric for Christmas when it went on sale <3). We have books and back issues of the magazine, but that's pretty much it. I stick my nose into them when nobody's looking. >_> Yeah, I’m talking about the NQ Wizard costume. Given that it’s called Neoquest Wizard, I think it’s supposed to be Mipsy’s outfit, even if the colors are different. It includes her wand, after all. I don’t seem to be able to find it in the NC Mall right now, though. XD I guess I could do it to Quiggler since he’s actually a boy, but somehow I don’t think it would bother him as much. I can’t imagine him wearing clothes, though. True, true. I can just imagine the number of fangirls who will stock up on Jeran's armor and weapons. And Lisha's glasses are already wearable... Same. I went from, "Okay, NC Mall. Big whoop." to "Ooh, these would look great on my pet!" I sort of decided that since they're extremely sentient in my stories and that some of them will be part of their own fantasy world, I could dress them up to look the part. Besides, my characters are more anthropomorphic now than they were years ago. But hey, you don't have to dress your pets up if you don't want to. ^_^ Oddly, I can't imagine Quiggler having any fashion sense - no offense. Yeah, the Woodland Archer set instantly made me think of Talinia, but aside from the quiver it’s not much like her costume. She doesn’t have a cape and doesn’t wear a dress. The closest she came to a dress was a skirt. But shouldn't that be enough for people to realize that she's a GIRL? >_> I think a cape would overdo it anyway, considering her final outfit, which is gorgeous. @_@ I didn’t want to experiment on Insane either, but I’ve used the same skill set in the past two games and it only just occurred to me that maybe improvements could be made on it. Maybe I’ll go with the tried-and-true strategy after all, though. After all, I already have the one point in Shockwave. How often did RA usually work, compared to Shockwave? Hmmm...as with any skill, the effects of RA are only apparent after you spend a considerable amount of skill points into it (around 6 did it for me). However, it will only work when Talinia is targeted (is that a pun?!). It's kind of like a passive, selective version of Rohane's stun. So pairing it up with Taunt is never, never a good idea. XD One good thing about using adult characters is that they have more freedom and independence. Explaining why child heroes never have parental supervision or school obligations is hard to do logically. Mipsy seems like the youngest to me, too, and I’m not sure why. She looks like a bubbly little girl, even if canonically she is an important member of a space crew. *shoves NQII cutscenes off a cliff* Yeah! I can't imagine having a double life. You know, save the world after doing your homework... XD It's kind of easier to explain in Neopia, where Neoschools STILL haven't been released (>_>) and it's assumed that because of that, kids get their education from their parents. Mipsy is the equivalent of the typical hyper schoolgirl in the world of anime stereotypes. In my stories, I estimated her to be about a year younger than Rohane. Let's see...according to my notes (YES Kat keeps notes XD), Velm is about 20-21-ish, and Talinia is 20. So even if Mipsy is pretty much a teenager, she has three adults around her anyway. XDDDD Speaking of cutscenes...I managed to spin a story around them, although it has yet to be accepted. XD Still...urgh, I still prefer the game proper over the cutscenes. -_- “You can’t expect me to finish this paperwork on Kiko Day, sir—the poets will destroy my lawn!” I'll borrow that excuse when it's Discovery of Meridell, when you guys are all gonna crash at my place. I wouldn’t let anyone watch me play NeoQuest, though—that’s what this thread is for. :3 Same. XD Although my cousins saw me once - one of them tried it, but didn't get the gist of the game much. Well, let's just say he's one of the younger players. ^^; It's been a while since I wrote one of those, actually. I only hope it turns out well. Knowing Reuben, he will never, ever listen to Rohane. EVER. Reuben: I don't care if you're famous. I'm still the big brother. That means I have the authority to give you a noogie. NOOGIE! I am so glad I made him older. 'Tis fun. Well, at least you're ready for 400. ^_^ I only got into 150 because my series ended in that issue, I wrote collabs with Sia for 200 and 250, and for 300 and 350, I was on my own. I haven’t been keeping up with it for the past couple months, but I just went and read the newest two chapters. I can’t say I feel sorry for him, though; I’ve been waiting for him to die for a long time, and it kept frustrating me that he was always coming back. (For all I know, he still may return later.) XD I'm actually glad he's dead. I almost pitied him, but in the end, I thought, "FINALLY. You're dead and gone, just like that." I'm also glad that Roy didn't burn Envy to a crisp, though. I don't want him to be fueled by nothing but revenge, especially since he's going to lead the country someday. Roy and Riza moments abound. ^________^ I don’t have any typical series as far as writing goes. I keep meaning to establish my pets as characters, but then I go and write stuff themed around site characters. Nope, the hermits are definitely going to be in. No crazy adventurous kids’ adventure would be complete without one of those. XD I've established my pets as characters years ago. Then I discovered the joy of NQII...and how their characters are in dire need of CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. *sage nod* And of course, I'm constantly sidetracked by site characters as well. W00T! =D Don’t you love doing stuff like that to make stories accurate? XDD I once tried to calculate the actual distance between Meridell and the Lost Desert, and attempted to solve for the amount of time it will take to get from Point A to Point B on a typical ship. XDDDD Good luck! If I tried, I know I’d get bored and come on here and spend the whole time posting stuff like this. XD When Zombom killed me (forgot the stupid Blast Potions, dangit!), I ducked in here to rant and sank back into my game. Needless to say, as time went on, I found myself posting that I would call off the race since I really couldn't do it after getting derailed by Zombom and the Miner Foreman (should've skipped that guy, apparently, and shouldn't have spent a lot of time levelbusting).

We have books and back issues of the magazine, but that's pretty much it. I stick my nose into them when nobody's looking. >_> Aw, that was nice of them. ^_^ Random gifts always brighten the day. (Although it makes me nervous to get them for no reason from strangers, without a Neomail saying why—a few days ago someone gave me Moon and Star Stickies, but I didn’t recognize the username, so I let it rot. Ordinarily I would’ve accepted and sent a thank-you message, but after hearing about people sending around hacked items, I’m paranoid. Not sure why you’d hack Moon and Star Stickies, though…) Well, other site characters like Illusen have gotten figurines, so I figure it’s only fair. And hey, the more Neopets merchandise there is, the more popular it’ll be and the greater the chance will become that they’ll eventually export it to the Phillipines. (You have Ed Elric figurines and not Neopets plushies? I want an Al figurine. One that’s hollow so I can stick miniature cats inside it. ) Heh, I’ve always loved toys. I’m going to be one of those people who grows up to build model railroads and knit dolls and collect action figures. There are Neopets plushies at the local Toys R Us here, but I haven’t bought any since coming here. I have some plushies that I got in the US, though, and they have names and personalities. I have a Maraquan Chomby named Sea Amethyst who lives to care for her bossy Meepit named Mariko, and a Speckled Shoyru named Viridian Star who has a clingy Snowickle named Lolly that likes to chew on things. I could write stories about them, now that I think of it. XD I also have a green McDonald’s Kiko that a friend gave to me because I told her that Lulu was green originally. <3 (She’s the only real life friend who knows I’m on Neopets. ^^ True, true. No, Quiggler would not have fashion sense. Not at all. XDDD He’d throw on everything within reach and be all, “YAAAAY I LOOK AWESOME! ;D ;D ;D” I wasn’t going to dress my pets up at all, but I may make an exception for Sparkler. She’s the most anthropomorphic of my pets (well, Quiggler is too, but he is definitely not going to be wearing clothes). Of course, Sparkler doesn’t care about clothing and will hate being forced into it, but she won’t have a choice. She didn’t want to be painted either. Poor Sparkler. ^^; I still tend to think of her as a blue Shoyru, but I painted her Island because she spends all her free time on Mystery Island and it’d help her fit in. Ironically, Lulu, who would probably love to play dress-up at the NC Mall all day long, just can’t quite show off the full effect of those frilly dresses on her Kiko body. The closest she came to a dress was a skirt. But shouldn't that be enough for people to realize that she's a GIRL? >_> I think a cape would overdo it anyway, considering her final outfit, which is gorgeous. @_@ The blue and gold costume is indeed awesome. It’s more subtle than Rohane and Velm’s final armor, which looks like Midas was having a field day in their closets. I have to say though that I don’t think it’s exactly obvious that Talinia is a girl. ^^; The name is the best indicator, but otherwise she could go either way. XD If you know she’s a girl, you’ll see a girl when you look at her, but otherwise I can see why someone would be confused. The skirt isn’t exactly definite evidence, since it looks like a tunic, and the guys wear skirts too. XDD Hmmm...as with any skill, the effects of RA are only apparent after you spend a considerable amount of skill points into it (around 6 did it for me). However, it will only work when Talinia is targeted (is that a pun?!). It's kind of like a passive, selective version of Rohane's stun. So pairing it up with Taunt is never, never a good idea. XD All right, thanks for the info; that just made me decide against it. If it only works when Talinia is attacked, I can’t see it having much effect. I’ll go with Shockwave again, and I’m considering putting points into Rohane’s Taunt later, if I have enough left over. Yeah! I can't imagine having a double life. You know, save the world after doing your homework... XD It's kind of easier to explain in Neopia, where Neoschools STILL haven't been released (>_>) and it's assumed that because of that, kids get their education from their parents. -_- I was homeschooled, which offers far more opportunities for being a part-time superhero or spy. So my early stories didn’t take school or homework into account because I never had to deal with that. Then again, my early stories were situated in fairylands or alien planets, and chances are that people in those situations wouldn’t have had to deal with that either. But yeah, much as the idea is appealing, having schoolkids get transported into magical worlds of adventure and then come back in time for dinner is kind of an uncomfortable mix of two worlds. Heh, it’s funny to hear 20-year-olds being called adults; no offense, but I still consider them kids, despite being younger than them. ^^; I guess I picked it up from my dad, because he teaches at a college and always calls his students kids. XD;; But I buy into the idea that kids should be taken seriously and treated as adults, so I don’t think it’s condescending. ^^; Heh, I considered writing about the cutscenes once. Good luck with your story! The cutscenes wouldn’t be so bad if they were entirely separate from the game, but some of the NPCs talk about being programs within a simulator. D: I’m trying to enjoy the virtual reality, dangit—stop breaking the fourth wall! I'll borrow that excuse when it's Discovery of Meridell, when you guys are all gonna crash at my place. “Boss, I know I look like I’m sitting here in this chair behind my computer, but I’m really sipping tea and writing poetry in the medieval abode of this mage I know. Now if you don’t mind, it’s really hard to think of rhymes other than ‘lurk’ and ‘murk’ when you keep yelling at me to get back to work.” Well, at least you're ready for 400. ^_^ I only got into 150 because my series ended in that issue, I wrote collabs with Sia for 200 and 250, and for 300 and 350, I was on my own. I got into 199 and 202, hence my frustration at missing 200. I miss seeing your collabs with Sia in the NT. It’s too bad she’s not around anymore. It’s really a shame what happened to her account. D: I'm actually glad he's dead. ^________^ Yeah, I’m glad too, because as I said, it was really frustrating that he kept coming close to dying and always came back to cause trouble. Hrm, I think Roy could’ve had better motivation, yes, but I would have liked to see him burn Envy the second he had a chance, simply because every second they delayed killing him gave him more time he could use to try to make a recovery. He was still trying to possess Ed even in that weak form.
Haha, yeah, those chapters were full of Roy/Riza. Envy practically just came out and said that they were together.
Also, “I’m an alchemist.” ;D Augh, and I have to wait longer before I can see her in action again. I've established my pets as characters years ago. Then I discovered the joy of NQII...and how their characters are in dire need of CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. *sage nod* And of course, I'm constantly sidetracked by site characters as well. Most of the site characters I’ve written about are faeries. I don’t normally get interested in writing about plot characters, with the notable exception of Altador, because Altador’s history pwns. ;D But I did write about Tomos for Valentine’s Day, because Tomos/Nabile is the only Neopets ‘ship I ever supported. I still think there’s a scandal involving the Jazan/Nabile/Tomos triangle going on in Sakhmet. …I just got a holdover for that article I wrote about Garoo while I was refreshing the Space Station for fun. XD I once tried to calculate the actual distance between Meridell and the Lost Desert, and attempted to solve for the amount of time it will take to get from Point A to Point B on a typical ship. XDDDD XDDD Using coordinates based on measuring the Explore map? Good luck! I once read a guide for a speed game without Talinia that almost made me want to try it, but I still don’t think I’d have the patience for a solid half day of Neoquest. How crazy would it be if we both tried to do it at the same time? XD I’d probably quit after the first two hours.

Aw, that was nice of them. ^^ Oh, don't worry, this person is a NTWFer. =D But my gift givers are usually either from people I know from the Pinoy Avatar Chat (a Neoboard for Filipinos on the AC; I'm so glad Filipinos don't use chatspeak XD), or NTWFers. I've heard of that scam though. Scary. *perks up* Does Jeran have an action figure? XD Anyhow, you're right; as Neopets gets more popular, chances are, toys will find their way here...and I'll have another reason to lurk toy stores, heh. That's why I lurk 'em - they have anime stuff like model kits and figures. I've seen an Al figure, but I dunno if it's hollow. I only have Ed and Riza (Riza comes with a little Black Hayate =3). Ooh, you should write. =D Sounds like you have a lot of inspiration. I remember when Snowflake held her sweepstakes here, and I won an orange Yurble plushie from it. I haven't named him yet, although I'm thinking of a really silly name like Sir Yurbius VII. XD I'm wondering if McDonald's will release Neopets toys here...if they do, I'll use my little sister as an excuse to get one. I might even tell the cashier, "Shhh...this is only a gift." >_> <_< No, Quiggler would not have fashion sense. Mental image of Quiggler...comic please! XD Sparkler might get used to it though. ^^ I know my pets did, Glitter more so than the others, since she's the diva of the family. I want to give her a carnival gypsy look, but I don't have enough to buy the last part of her costume - the blouse. I only rely on free NC...and gifts thoughtful people give me. ^_^ Awww, yeah. D= They should make more Kiko clothes on Kiko Day. The blue and gold costume is indeed awesome. XDD Midas: Ooh, shiny! *touches armor* Now it's even shinier! =D But then they can blind their enemies with sheer shininess. XDDDDD Still, it just goes to show that the girls do have more fashion sense. Hmmm...you do have a point. XD And her equips are tunics too, which can be worn by guys or girls. Velm: It's not a skirt, it's a ROBE! A ROBE! Mipsy: But it still moves when you twirl around. All right, thanks for the info; that just made me decide against it. If it only works when Talinia is attacked, I can’t see it having much effect. I’ll go with Shockwave again, and I’m considering putting points into Rohane’s Taunt later, if I have enough left over. In any case, I only used Taunt in Faerieland. Velm: Listen up, at our next stop, we need to buy you a book of insults. Rohane: You think I'm so terrible at taunting that I need a book?! Velm: Actually, yes. I was homeschooled, which offers far more opportunities for being a part-time superhero or spy. I've never known what being homeschooled feels like, since I've never had it. But yeah, it would be so much easier to lead a double life if you were homeschooled! Even if kids could relate more to heroes their age, it's still pretty hard to step into their shoes...and unreasonable. I mean, if you've got adults capable of doing the job, shove them forward instead. Yay, I'm still a kid! *shot* Well...they're young adults, technically, so yeah. Kids should be treated like adults, but not to the point that they have to shoulder responsibility they can't handle. Thank you! It's pretty unnerving when they talk about the whole simulation thing while in the game. NPC: You see, in this simulation - Mipsy: We KNOW it's a simulation, all right? We just...like to take our roles seriously. VERY seriously. >_> NPC: I was going to say that you guys just broke the fourth wall! Rohane: Really? I thought I just chopped down a bunch of palm trees! NPC: That was the FOURTH WALL! “Boss, I know I look like I’m sitting here in this chair behind my computer, but I’m really sipping tea and writing poetry in the medieval abode of this mage I know. Now if you don’t mind, it’s really hard to think of rhymes other than ‘lurk’ and ‘murk’ when you keep yelling at me to get back to work.” XDDDDDDD "Boss, just a minute! I'm almost finished whomping this final boss!" I got into 199 and 202, hence my frustration at missing 200. I miss seeing your collabs with Sia in the NT. It’s too bad she’s not around anymore. It’s really a shame what happened to her account. D: *hugs* I miss special issues too. And I miss her too. D= She also hung around this thread. Yeah, I’m glad too, because as I said, it was really frustrating that he kept coming close to dying and always came back to cause trouble.
Oh yeah, when he first turned into the little squishy thing and then suddenly turned back into his usual palm tree self...that was rather frustrating. I wanted Roy to do with Envy what he did with Lust too, but Ed and Scar did have a point. It was quite brave of them to carry on talking like that even in the presence of not-dead Envy.
Hah, even Envy admits it! XD
It's been AGES since her last appearance! I hope Sig is around too; Sig and Izumi make such a cute, kick-butt couple. XD Don't remind me of those past faerie stories I wrote. XD Some of them...well, I'd rather bury them under a rock. My story about Lyra is my first faerie story in a while; practically almost all the other characters are faeries too. I'm thinking of going back to the Meridell plot and linking it again to the NQII plot without shattering the fourth wall, but I'll have to wait till I'm done penning the entire NQII story. I love Altador so much that I want to link it to Reuben and Rohane's story as well. ...oh dear. XD That's scary. Wonder what Princess Amira has to say about it? Awesome! =D You're really coming back to the NT! (*nearly typed NUT for some odd reason* XD) XDDD Using coordinates based on measuring the Explore map? XD Pretty much, and some info gathered from the Neopedia. I even had a scale. I once read a guide for a speed game without Talinia that almost made me want to try it, but I still don’t think I’d have the patience for a solid half day of Neoquest. How crazy would it be if we both tried to do it at the same time? XD I’d probably quit after the first two hours. We saw that too, and I thought of giving it a shot, but...never did. XD I should have more patience if I really want to race. XDDDDDDDD I'd be tempted to chat with you.

XD I almost always stay off the Neoboards because it seems like a dangerous place; I always hear about people getting caught up in trouble there, both wittingly and unwittingly. Though, the times that I did use the Neoboards for game chats or Altador Cup boards, I was pleased to see how many English speakers there were friendly and helpful. Aww, Riza and Black Hayate! I haven’t seen anything like that in toy stores around here; maybe I’d have better luck in comic shops. There is one hobby shop that sells model kits, which is where I got the model of a German Tiger tank that I built, but that store doesn’t have licensed character kits. All orange Yurbles make me think of the Janitor now. If I had an orange Yurble plushie, I would probably sew a toga for him and construct a miniature mop. XD Come to think of it, he doesn’t have a name either; he could be Yurbius VII for all we know. XD I’m not shy about buying plushies for myself—I suppose it comes from growing up with a mother who loves toys and carries plushies in her purse. XD; Mental image of Quiggler...comic please! It probably will end up as a comic in some form eventually. XD But first I have to finish that seemingly endless faerie cooking storyline I’ve got going. She probably will get used it, especially if she gets to wear armor or something. Actually, I just bought a leaf vest for her, which she thinks is loads better than the grass skirt that the Mystery Island paint job comes with. (Though she hasn’t had to wear that since customization came out; the first thing I used customization for was to remove it. See, Sparkler, I am nice to you sometimes!) I spent all my free NC and will have to rely on the Qasalan Expellibox to get more, though I haven’t managed to win any NC from it yet. I don’t think I’m really going to get into designing my pets’ costumes, seeing as in real life I don’t care about clothes in the slightest and I don’t trust my own fashion sense. XD Yeah, although I don’t think Kikos are exactly built for wearing clothes in the first place. They’re pretty much limited to headgear and accessories. Something about the shiny silver patterns on the dress makes it look almost frilly. Velm: It’s not a dress, it’s a sk—I mean, a ROBE! MY TONGUE SLIPPED! IT’S A ROBE! Mipsy: I love your gorgeous shawl. Wherever did you get it? Rohane: In the tavern for 2,500 gold. What a ripoff—that flimsy stole looks like a cloud of fleas could tear it apart! Velm: STOP REFERRING TO MY CLOTHING WITH FEMININE TERMINOLOGY! Mipsy: You know, we should name our weapons. How about we call your staff Sally from now on? Rohane: Don’t look now, Mips, but Sally’s about to come down on your head… In any case, I only used Taunt in Faerieland. Velm: Listen up, at our next stop, we need to buy you a book of insults. Rohane: You think I'm so terrible at taunting that I need a book?! Velm: Actually, yes. XDDDD Hey, I just got a Velm Stamp from Tarla. He should have a book too. Velm’s Taunting Advice For Rohane. For his own good, that is.I've never known what being homeschooled feels like, since I've never had it. But yeah, it would be so much easier to lead a double life if you were homeschooled! NPC: That was the FOURTH WALL! XDDDDDDDD That needs to be the follow-up comic after the ones about the hermits. Yeah, responsibility should be distributed according to what the kid’s proven himself to be able to handle. The main thing I like about stories wih child heroes is that the stories are usually kept clean and innocent and not bogged down with the kind of stuff that isn’t allowed in the Neopian Times, which I’m not that interested in reading about. >_> Then again, that’s not always the case… XDDDDDDD "Boss, just a minute! I'm almost finished whomping this final boss!" XDDDD Kat: What, the product evaluation report? Sure, that’ll be done soon… but Terask II is down to 250 HP! All I need is three minutes, I swear! Nut (on the NQ chat board): I’ve got Terask II down to 200 HP! I bet I can finish this in two minutes! Kat: Make that one minute, boss. Time to break out the blackmail material! *hugs* I miss special issues too. And I miss her too. D= She also hung around this thread. Yeah, I remember seeing her posting here a few times way back when. I never knew her closely, but it was always nice having her around. D: Oh yeah, when he first turned into the little squishy thing and then suddenly turned back into his usual palm tree self...that was rather frustrating.
Yeah, when that first happened, I was so glad because I thought he’d finally be killed off soon. I was really frustrated during the time that he was using Mei Chang, because I could see that he was going to come back, but I kept hoping he wouldn’t. I was actually a bit disappointed in Ed for effectively defending Envy—personally I would’ve wanted to see the enemy defeated before giving Roy the lecture, but at least it worked out for the heroes in the end anyway. Yeah, it’s just that obvious. XD Ed/Winry is pretty obvious as well. *is a slight Ed/Winry ‘shipper* >_> Oh yeah, I’d like to see Sig too. He and Izumi both pwn. Don't remind me of those past faerie stories I wrote. (*nearly typed NUT for some odd reason* XD) Haha, I’ve got a few stories I’d like to at least rewrite, but I kind of like having my old stuff archived so I can remember how much I’ve improved. Then again, when people take it into their heads to read all of your work, I cringe at the oldest pieces. XD Princess Amira is far above the morally questionable antics of two thieves and a once-cursed prince. At least, in my tabloid version of the Lost Desert Plot. XD I realize there are others who think there might be something to that extra courtesy Amira seems to show a common street thief… >_> XD Yeah, it feels good to be thinking about submitting stuff again! I’m almost done with the Issue 400 series; it’s got seven (short) parts. I’ve been purposely avoiding basing characters on anyone here (fun as that might have been), which is probably why the story ended up being focused on the main character and all the others have only occasional appearances. XD Pretty much, and some info gathered from the Neopedia. I even had a scale. XD I’ve never done anything quite that dedicated for my NT stories. Usually I just visit key areas and look up extra information on help sites. I did haunt the Money Tree for multiple weeks before submitting my article about it, but I think that might’ve had more to do with being greedy than wanting accuracy. If I did try for a race trophy, I’d probably want to use that guide, just because I like the idea of faster leveling. Though I do like Talinia. Mipsy used to be my favorite character, but nowadays I’m liking Velm more and more. X3 XD Since I wouldn’t have time to type up these insanely long posts, I’d probably just end up spamming this board with sentence-long posts updating my progress. Although admittedly, that’s how these insanely long posts got started. “Five hours in and Velm just landed the finishing blow to the Revenant! Gotta respect a guy who can do that in a skirt.” “IT’S NOT A SKIRT! It’s a dr—GAAAH! STUPID TONGUE!” … and six hours later, I’d have fifty more comics to draw.

It’s great that there’s a language that doesn’t use chatspeak. XD; Instead of chatspeak, we have text speak - you know, for cellphones. Just about every Filipino has one - it's almost like a necessity already. Hmph, mine is only for telling my parents, "Mom, I'm already on the train home, okay?" Luckily, not all Neoboarders get you in trouble, yeah. You could also try comic shops. They sell their share of figures, but where I live, they usually cater to guys. I love putting Black Hayate on Ed's head. =D Maybe when I get Roy, I'll put Hayate on HIS head next. Sadly, Kat isn't very crafty. ^^;;; My Yurble (yes, he'll just be Sir Yurbius VII XD) just guards my little closet of books, plushies and other random paraphernalia. I'm a little shy about looking for plushies, although I don't mind waltzing into the little boys' section, which is usually where I find anime stuff. That's why I only browse Neopets books when nobody's looking, and I picked up my two copies of the magazine in not very crowded bookstores. At least back then I was a teenager. XD It probably will end up as a comic in some form eventually. Good luck with that storyline! I never have to take off any clothes on my Royal pets; I like them just the way they are. I dunno, that's just me. I'm also relying on the Expellibox and possibly site events to drop some free NC in my lap. There are no NC cards here, and I am NOT going to spend money for a site I've been using for over six years. I might enter Glitter in the Customization Spotlight, but that's just a big fat MIGHT. Well, there should be a wider variety of headgear for Kikos then! =D XDDDDD Velm’s armor just upgraded in my game (I just entered the Haunted Woods), and he looks very delicate in the blue costume. Rohane: Don’t look now, Mips, but Sally’s about to come down on your head… XDDDDDDDD It's hard to keep a straight face while he's wearing that, so I'm always itching to rush into Faerieland and dress him up in something less girly. That, and Faerieland is where Talinia's best tunic is! =D XDDDD Hey, I just got a Velm Stamp from Tarla. He should have a book too. Velm’s Taunting Advice For Rohane. For his own good, that is.Heh, a NQII guide book would be nice. I'd read it to my pets, then they'd scream, "Kat, we're not as into the game as you are, so NO THANKS!" Rohane: All right, YOU do the taunting. Velm: *stares at all the monsters* Uh...ummm...look behind you, it's a Mynci juggling oranges on a unicycle! RUNNNNNNN! >_> Then again, that’s not always the case… I hope people understand the fourth wall crack though. XDDDDD "YOU KIDS GET OUT OF THE FOURTH WALL!" True, true. In the end, righteousness and innocence prevails! *cue dramatic music* This is why I love the NT. Everything I write is all clean and not too graphic. Sure, I kill characters, but hey, I kill them in the most discreet ways possible. Or with the right amount of description. XDDDD Kat: What, the product evaluation report? Sure, that’ll be done soon… but Terask II is down to 250 HP! All I need is three minutes, I swear! Nut (on the NQ chat board): I’ve got Terask II down to 200 HP! I bet I can finish this in two minutes! Kat: Make that one minute, boss. Time to break out the blackmail material! XDDDDDDDDD Boss: ...why do I even bother? For all I know, she could be playing Neopets. Speaking of which, I haven't fed my pets today! *dashes off* Yeah, I remember seeing her posting here a few times way back when. I never knew her closely, but it was always nice having her around. D: T_T I know, right? Plus, we would have conversations like this, and wound up writing a NQII article of her own. It's like delivering the message, "Revenge isn't everything". Anyway, Envy really couldn't last long by then; he had already slipped away once.
I 'ship Ed/Winry too, you know. XD It's becoming more and more obvious, just like Roy/Riza. They're almost like sister pairings.
Remember when Armstrong tried to talk to Sig using his muscles? And then Sig ripped his shirt just by flexing his pecs? XDDDDD That was random, and it just goes to show that these two can be real gentlemen. Haha, I’ve got a few stories I’d like to at least rewrite, but I kind of like having my old stuff archived so I can remember how much I’ve improved. I cringe at about a quarter of my stuff. XD I even cringe at A Hero's Journey, even if I get positive feedback for it. They're all, "Your story was so profound!" and then I want to answer, "B-but look at how it was written! I wish I could rewrite it!" *wince* That's why I sometimes want to lock my old stories away, in a place where I want to forget about them completely. XD You do have a point; she's always so high and mighty. I'm glad I gave her more of a character in her brief appearance in the latest AnHJ. I think Amira has other things on her mind than looking for love anyway, unlike Nabile. >_> <_< XDDDDD Hahaha, I could almost imagine myself as a royal Zafara sitting in a corner writing stories while playing NQII. It's great to hear that your story is going well and you're back in the NT! In other news, I'm feeling the thrill of an acceptance letter again. ^^ XD I’ve never done anything quite that dedicated for my NT stories. Usually I just visit key areas and look up extra information on help sites. I did haunt the Money Tree for multiple weeks before submitting my article about it, but I think that might’ve had more to do with being greedy than wanting accuracy. I suppose I just wanted to be really exact. XD But I do research about NQII just so I would be consistent and to check my stock knowledge (XD), and to integrate parts of the game into my stories. I think the fact that the more you snag from the Money Tree, the less chance you have of picking something up deterred me from it during my newbie days. That, and when I tried a few times, they were all futile. XD If I did try for a race trophy, I’d probably want to use that guide, just because I like the idea of faster leveling. I assume it's because of what a big help he is, being the resident healer. XD That's why he's always a lifesaver, literally. Especially on InSaNe. However, it comes with a price - he has to be kept alive, or else it's time to flee. XDDDDDDDDDDD Look on the bright side - you'll never run out of ideas! XD

Instead of chatspeak, we have text speak - you know, for cellphones. XD Yeah, I remember when I was younger and it seemed so progressive when there were little kids running around with cellphones, and now everyone’s expected to have them. Kids practically use them to talk instead of speaking sometimes. I’ve got a cellphone, but only for emergencies or, as you said, notifying my parents of what I’m doing. I pretty much ignore its existence most of the time. Yeah, I think comic shops are a better bet, since they’re more associated with all the geek stuff. XD Go ahead; Roy loves dogs, after all. XD My Neopets plushies just sit in my closet with my other childhood toys. I wouldn’t want to look for Neopets stuff if anyone I knew was watching me, but I have no compunctions about strangers. XD Good luck with that storyline! =D Thanks! It’ll be over soon; just another couple comics… I have the idea laid out, but I may want to rearrange it, since the original layout was done about two years ago. There hasn’t been a paint job yet that had clothing I specifically disliked or would want to remove, though then again I’m used to looking at paint jobs as a whole and not seeing clothing as individual parts. I just took off the Mystery Island skirt because Sparkler hated it. She commented on hating it in this series I was writing (which I kind of abandoned), and then Customization came out, so I had no excuse to leave it on. But yeah, I wouldn’t want to spend money on virtual items, and I definitely wouldn’t want to ask my parents to give me money for that purpose. Perhaps if I had money of my own to spend, it might be worth it… although if I’d earned it myself I’d probably just be overprotective of my money. Yeah, there should be a hat shop in Kiko Lake. They could be the leading trendsetters! XDDDDDDDD It's hard to keep a straight face while he's wearing that, so I'm always itching to rush into Faerieland and dress him up in something less girly. That, and Faerieland is where Talinia's best tunic is! =D Heh, a NQII guide book would be nice. RUNNNNNNN! Mipsy: Velm, you look soooo totally girly! I just have to give you a super-duper-ooper manly MAKEOVER! Velm: DON’T. TOUCH. THE. ROBE. *waves staff threateningly* Mipsy: Oops, did I make Sally mad again? Velm: AAAAARGH! Rohane: Hey! You’re supposed to be taunting the enemy, not each other! Velm: Forget it; that’s YOUR job! I just know if I try, my tongue’s gonna slip again! Talinia: Yeah, it’d sure be disastrous if you accidentally told a faerie minion that she’s wearing combat fatigues. Faerie Minion: These are combat fatigues. Our kind of combat fatigues. *smirk* Unlike that girly skirt you’re wearing, Techo. Velm: GAAAAAH! I hope people understand the fourth wall crack though. XDD They should get it, since there’ll be mention of the simulation and the fourth-wall concept is pretty well known. Yeah, I like the NT because it’s where I can read a lot of Neopets fanfiction that’s all G-rated. It’s hard to find clean fanfiction. I’ve never killed a character in a Neopets story. That would change if I wrote about Velm, though, what with him being part of so many fights, even if he isn’t a direct attacker. XDDDDDDDDD Boss: ...why do I even bother? For all I know, she could be playing Neopets. Speaking of which, I haven't fed my pets today! *dashes off* XDDDDD Neomail To: Kat Hi, I wanted to compliment you on your story in the Neopian Times. How long does it take you to write? I want to submit something, but I’m always busy ordering around these lazy employees of mine. Neomail From: Kat Thanks! I usually write my stories while I’m at work, at least when my boss isn’t yelling at me to do something. Neomail To: Kat Wait a minute… Neomail From: Kat … Oh SNAP. T_T I know, right? Plus, we would have conversations like this, and wound up writing a NQII article of her own. I remember reading all the NQII articles that NTWFers wrote way back when, before I started playing the game. I’ve never written anything about NQII, save for an old short story about the Miner Foreman that I never submitted.
Yeah, that’s true. It would get tiring if he just kept escaping and coming back.
Yeah, they do seem like sister pairings; they are the two major pairings in the series after all. Riza gets to be part of the story more often than Winry does, though, and can actually join in the action; I like Riza’s character better. But I like Ed’s character better than Roy’s. I’m waiting for him to get his apple pie.
Oh man, that scene was HILARIOUS. XDDDD Armstrong’s one of my favorite characters. I cringe at about a quarter of my stuff. XD I even cringe at A Hero's Journey, even if I get positive feedback for it. They're all, "Your story was so profound!" and then I want to answer, "B-but look at how it was written! XD; There’s only a couple of stories that I actually regret getting published, though, and I’d go back and delete them if I could; they’re a couple of short stories that I wrote during an uninspired spell when I had this idea that I should churn stuff out so I could get published all the time. *cringe* There’s also a comic of mine that I’d like to rewrite. But ah well, this is how we learn. Yeah, Amira has a whole country to run. She’s got a lot of responsibility that she can’t ignore to concentrate on a relationship. XDDD I put a brief mention of someone playing the NQII board game in the last part of my series. Speaking of which, I finally drew a pic and submitted that series just now, and I’m sort of incredibly nervous. XD; Mainly because there’s something in the last part that I’m not sure is allowed… I know it wouldn’t be allowed if I told it like it is, but I think I was vague enough about it that it might get through. I’m not going to be able to relax until I get a response. I think the whole series is really sappy, about dreams and friendship and stuff. XD;;; I suppose I just wanted to be really exact. XD When I first upgraded from dialup to wireless internet, I discovered I was able to consistently get stuff from the Money Tree and ended up lurking there for a while just because I thought it was so great that my connection was actually fast enough to let me do that. But I mostly got rotten shoes and other fishing junk. XD I assume it's because of what a big help he is, being the resident healer. XD That's why he's always a lifesaver, literally. Especially on InSaNe. However, it comes with a price - he has to be kept alive, or else it's time to flee. XDDDDDDDDDDD Look on the bright side - you'll never run out of ideas! XD Yeah, he’s the only defensive character on the team. I don’t think I’ve ever had Velm die during a major fight, but I’d hate to imagine the consequences. XDDDD Kat at work (on NQ chat): You should make a comic out of that! Nut at work: What?! I’m still working on the 259 comic ideas we’ve racked up in the past ten years! I think my boss is getting suspicious about the art programs I’ve got installed on this computer…

XD There are even poor people around who actually have later cellphone models than mine. If I were them, I would sell mine and use the money for more important things. In fact, when I was in fifth grade, nearly everyone in my class had a phone, and I didn't get mine till elementary graduation. "I LOVE DOGS! Dogs embody loyalty!" XDDDDD Someday, when I have the money, I'll buy Roy and Al as well to complete my set. Then I'll randomly act out some FMA scenes in my spare time. XD I dunno...I'm still apprehensive about letting strangers see me browsing a Neopets book. XD My parents may know about it, but I still don't want them seeing me browse through one. XDDDDDD Thanks! They could be the leading trendsetters! Good luck! Your art style has definitely improved a lot since then. *pokes your NQII comic* XD Amen to that; I'd probably hoard my cash for more important things. Like a laptop, or even a trip around the world. =D Then they'd have to contend with JubJubs, but then again, the JubJubs could always set up a shoe shop. But more shiny. @_@ I wonder how Mipsy and Talinia kept Midas out of their closets... XD True, true. "THOSE CRAZY KIDS BROKE THE FOURTH WALL AGAIN!" Amen to that. -_- And decent fanfiction, don't forget. XDDDDD *snerk* My series entail me to write quite a few battle scenes every now and then. So I get a lot of practice. By far one of my favorites is the last few moments of the battle with Anubits; I wrote it in my latest AnHJ series. XDDDDD Neomail To: Kat Hi, I wanted to compliment you on your story in the Neopian Times. DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN! XDDDDD Oh dear. That would be the craziest coincidence EVAR. I remember reading all the NQII articles that NTWFers wrote way back when, before I started playing the game. I’ve never written anything about NQII, save for an old short story about the Miner Foreman that I never submitted. Aw, you should submit it. >=D NQII is beginning to take over my NT stuff. Yeah, that’s true. It would get tiring if he just kept escaping and coming back.

Oh man, that scene was HILARIOUS. XDDDD Armstrong’s one of my favorite characters. I hate characters who die and then manage to cheat death several times; it gets too tedious eventually, although there are some notable exceptions.
Winry is typically on the sidelines, but many characters stay there along with her too, and I like how she's always waiting for Ed and Al, caring for them (although she might care a bit more about Ed, heh <3). I can relate to Ed's character better and so I like him more than Roy, but I like both of them all the same.
Apple pie! =D
Armstrong was largely amusing in the first part of the plot, then he really starts kicking butt with his big sister later on, like in their battle with Sloth. Way awesome. I mean, it made me like Armstrong even more. I never get fanmail for older stories, but an NTAGer recently went back and read all of my work, which made me very flattered and then very embarrassed as I realized that she’d read my earliest stuff as well. I’m not going to be able to relax until I get a response. I think the whole series is really sappy, about dreams and friendship and stuff. XD;;; Indeed, this is how we learn; I look back at my old stuff and then compare it with my latest publications; I've really come so far in these five years I've dedicated to the NT. XD There are people who drop in every now and then to comment on my old work, and those who insist that they read everything I write. ^^; Well, my stories are also incredibly sappy, so don't worry. ^_^ Anyway, my issue 400 story got rejected, so I'll just resend it; it really is too early for issue 400. And if anyone wants to make a reference to Kat, all they need to do is throw in a crazy NQII fanatic and they're covered. XD Amira has help running the country anyway. XD XDDDD At least you could say you got some stuff. Yeah, he’s the only defensive character on the team. I’m still working on the 259 comic ideas we’ve racked up in the past ten years! I think my boss is getting suspicious about the art programs I’ve got installed on this computer… Oh, Velm died on me a few times; luckily it wasn't on InSaNe, where I managed to keep everyone alive. Let's see...he kicked the bucket during a fight with the Four Faeries on Normal and I had to flee, and another time on Evil when I faced the dreaded Hands of Nox. Those guys actually have a blinkin' strategy; they take Mipsy and Velm out first before moving on to Talinia and Rohane, in that order! I fled once my mages were down and Talinia was one hit away from certain death. *shudders* Wow, you could get to like, 300 NT trophies that way, Nut. XD Kat at work: My boss is also suspicious of all the documents I always have open... XD
