I finished off Neoquest on Insane recently.

Calling all NQ nuts!  I need a new source of info on NPCs, monsters, etc. Digifort is dead (as in, deader than a doornail) and I can't always rely on my obsessive stock knowledge to keep my NQII stories as faithful to the plot as possible - and for Poetry Contest inspiration. XD Can you post the links here (and hopefully someone can like, edit the first post with them if they have the time). Thanks! ^_^ |

I stopped posting on this thread because of school and the Altador Cup, but I'm going to get back into NQII soon. And finish NQ eventually. >_> |

I'm worried about the Four Faeries too, although I don't remember ever having a huge amount of trouble with them; I just know that they're a powerful bunch that can do a lot if you let them. I plan to overlevel like crazy. |

XD; Yeah, I was overleveling since the beginning, breezing through bosses because I'd be 2 or 3 levels higher than the recommended level for other difficulty settings. On an InSaNe game, I wasn't about to be taking unnecessary risks. After I got Velm, though, I became less cautious.  |

I don't have the patience to sit and level up in that game, to be honest with you. xD; The battles are just so boring to me. D: I'm in the middle of the TM act (currently saving up gold to buy one last weapon upgrade) and all my characters are at level 22.
Who's Velm and when do you get him? *is curious now*

Velm is a healer. =) His top specialty, Panacea, can heal your entire team by 90 HP. <33333 Very useful, hardly any use for potions whatsoever. x3 Very handy. He comes in the Lost Desert act, which is the next act of Terror Mountain. ^^ And sicne you're at the middle of TM, I should assume you have Talinia so only one more to go. =D (Though I do suggest you level up.  You should be entering LD at about Level 30) |

The LD act is my favorite. ^_^ Nice, keep going! The first part of Meridell is the worst part to train in because all you've got is Rohane, so I didn't overlevel for Zombom. But I was level 20 for Ramtor the first time, and 22 the second time. Never noticed how much of a pushover he was till that battle where he ran away without even scoring a hit. XD Velm's awesome. Once I get him, I stop worrying about potions altogether. (I almost never buy 'em, relying on the supply from enemies--especially on Insane, where prices are higher.) My favorite part of getting him is how it makes travel faster, because before I get Velm I always wander around between battles to heal those extra 7 HP. Then when I get him, it's goodbye to those days of walking in circles. I like the Lost Desert act because there's plenty of monsters to train on and you get Velm in it, but I dislike it because it's hard to tell where you're going. Too much sand. XD That's why I like Faerieland better--you can at least see your way through the mazes, and your party is starting to max out their abilities. I don't have the patience to sit and level up in that game, to be honest with you. xD; The battles are just so boring to me. D: Yeah, to be honest, they really are. XD I wouldn't bother with this game if it weren't Neopets and didn't have shiny prizes. But I keep playing so I can talk on this board. XD |

(I tend to wander around on hunting every so often) I just beat Kolvars and found the lost kid in Happy Valley. Now I'm excited to reach the next chapter. xD Watch me get all happy, then mess it up somehow by jumping straight into the final boss fight of the act without thinking things out properly. xD; I must admit that not having to buy healing potions anymore does sound good. I end up wasting a lot of precious money buying potions, then I have to sit around and earn gold the old fashioned way, like I am now. o3o |
