I didn't really like the fellowship of the rings. I couldn't get past the first pages of the book: too much description, boring, boring, boring... I've tried reading that book about ten times... As for the movie, I thought there was too much violence, but maybe the main reason why I didn't enjoy it much was because I sat there for three hours straight without moving! My butt was square and my knees were hurting. About one hour after the movie started, I was already diverting my attention from the screen to the pain in my back, or how I was getting sore from being sitting for so long without moving... Anyway, I asked dad to rent the movie today so I'll rewatch it in a more comfortable sit and probably will have a diferent opinion on it. One thing I absolutely loved was the elfs part - I LOVE Elfs! When they speak the elfs language, it's awesome! As for The Two Towers,. I won't be watching it soon. First reason: the teather is crowded, I'll wait two weeks for everyone to have already seen the movie and then I'll go. Second reason: I'm broke... =P I'll have to find someone to pay my ticket...

Yeah... I normally don't admit it but... the Hobbit was a bit boring! It's okay, not the WORST thing I've ever read... ok, I don't even have a first thing I've ever read. It's ok. I haven't finished, though.

Two Towers, not Twin. =)
I personally think Tolkein is a long, inanely rambling author. I love him all the same, but if I had to read a comtemporary novel that went on and on like that...

I just saw it! Gimli is SO funny! And Legolas is as cute as ever.
I feel sorry for Golem. He really is a sweet guy inside, or at least, part of him is.

I managed to read the first two LOTR books, but I don't remember a thing about them (well, not much). Anyway, The Hobbit is great I really enjoyed the first movie. I also had to sit in the theater three hours straight, but I was lucky to have comfortable seats. There were times when I got tired, but then my interest in the movie would get renewed. My new year resoultion was to get a longer attention span, and I seem to somewhat have acheived it. However, from what I've heard, LOTR is a movie to see on a big screen with big sound. Part of the masterpiece is in the beauty of the images and the sounds, and that cannot be done justice by a home video set.

I read the Hobbit (I liked), and MOST of the LOTR trilogy (I found utterly boring, butDad insisted I read) but a certain point after the climax in the last book it just got WAY too boring and anti-climatic. Eventually I just couldn't bring myself to read another word and I stopped.

I read the Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring, but I can't get through the Two Towers. It is soooo boring. Gimli is cool. Funny too. The elves are the bestest though. Especially Legolas *grins*

I saw the movies, they're cool! I'm not the biggest fan of LotR, but it was better than the Harry Potter movie (I'm a fan of Harry!).
I'm past half of the Hobbit! Waaaiii!!
