Did anybody else see it? I saw it today with my gifted class!!! It was sooo cool! I liked Legolas, with his archery, and that ONE scene in- no wait, I'll be quiet now, before I spoil the entire movie. I know Kiddo probably saw it, saying she said she drew a picture of Legolas with...No, I'll stop myself again. Anybody else see the movie???

I was going to see it yesterday... but no, I had to study for calculus. Not that it helped. I just found out that one of our A students was in tears after this test. Now I'm struggling with the take-home portion of it. I've been so busy this week I've completely forgotten it's my birthday tommorow....

I bet Kelsey from my girlscout troup can't wait to see it. She has the biggest crush on Legolas I have ever seen. She carries a picture of him around everywhere she goes and she sleeps with it under her pillow. She's taken up archery because she wants to be "elf-like". And she's amazingly good at it, to. Last weekend on encampment half an hour couldn't go by without either her bringing up Legolas or Laura, another girl in our troup, bringing up Elijah Woods. I've got to admit that I have a minor crush on Legolas, but Kelsey is just over the top.

Bah, I was sitting beside a friend who thinks Elijah Woods is hot. As a joke I kept hudging her during the movie whenever there was a close-up on Elijah Woods.
Hey Ember, does your friend Kelsey like the actor or the character? (Like, does she know anything about the actor who plays Legolas, or does she just like the character he portrays in LoTR?)

She knows what he looks like in real life, and she can't decide whether he's cuter in his natural form or as Legolas. As for me, my crush is on Legolas, not Orlando.
Heh, we were doing this high ropes course and we egged her on saying things like "Orlando would be proud!" and "Looking real elf-like!"

Heh...I've gotta try that one a friend of mine. Of course, I couldn't say that about Orlando; she doesn't like him, but I could use the name of a grade eight in our school that she REALLY likes. Thanks for the tips, ember!

I do have fake pointy ears, a cloak, and assorted weapons though.

Oh my. . . For some reason, I find it hard to register the fact that you have a name other than Kiddo or Child_dragon. It's kind of funny because I usually don't have trouble with that type of thing. . . Sorry, I know I'm incredibly weird. I'll just shut up now.

I do have fake pointy ears, a cloak, and assorted weapons though. That reminds me. To further weird you out, I have decided what I want to be for Halloween next year. Yes, already. Prepare to be disturbed: I'm going as you. . . er, I mean as child_dragon. . . er, well you know what I mean. I know that know one will know who the heck I am, but I don't care. I can easily make the costume with assorted props and pieces of previous years' costumes and a few home made things. Okay, now I really WILL shut up.

I plan on seeing it Monday for a friend's birthday party.
One thing that annoys me about the movie critics ar ethat they classify the second part as a 'sequil'. It's not so much a sequil as ANOTHER PART...
Honestly >P
But I can't wait to see the movie. It does look REALLY good! ^^

ARGH! I haven't even seen the second half of the first movie yet...only the first half. I've read the first two books, though, and I'm working on The Return of the King. I read the first and half the second a really long time ago, then suddenly stopped because the Two Towers, once it got into all the Helms Deep, Flotsam and Jetsam war stuff, got a little boring, so last year, I reread the first two because I could only remember one or two things from them and had so much other stuff to catch up on that I stopped for a little while, but now I'm continuing on.
Yeah, so I haven't seen the Two Towers yet, but I want to after I finally finish watching the second half of the Fellowship of the Ring.

I'm a bit bitter that it didn't start before Christmas break or I would have gone with my friends and we would have been dressed up.
Still, I can't wait to see it.
Personally, I have a huge crush on Aragorn(the character, mind you). I have since I read the books. Legolas just looks too girly for my tastes. Dang elfmen.

I got a lucky break - I got a ticket to see LOTR:TT on Saturday at the largest theter in my county - where the screen is about as wide as my flat. Since it's free, I'm not sure how good a seat I'm getting, but since I got the ticket through somebody who is friends with somebody who works at the theater.
In any case, I consider it payback after seeing the first LOTR movie in a tiny theater which the entire screening room could fit in my flat, and it was monthes after the original release. Still, that small theater still got the effect of the movie across and had very comfortable seats ^.^
