Anyone watching Ore Monogatari? I'm one and a half episodes in and it's so...pleasingly saccharine. Like, the last show I watched along with as it was airing was Attack on Titan, and so many recent popular series (Tokyo Ghoul, Parasyte, Terraformars) have looked to be the same level of !!! VISCERAL CARTOON BLOODINESS!!!-- this show is an adorable breath of fresh air! I love the gentle humor and unashamed cute moments. ...I will confess that I had it mixed up with Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun for a while though :v my friend showed me an episode of that too (which -- also cute! Maybe will watch) and for the longest time I thought *that* was Ore Monogatari. There is currently a small Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun invasion going on in the forum XD I just finished watching it the other day ^^ As for Ore Monogatari, yeah I've been seeing things about it. At first I thought it seemed odd, but when I looked into it, it seemed like a pretty fun anime XD It's on my queue on Crunchyroll right now. So I'll probably watch it soon. When it comes to the crazy blood animes and stuff, I tend to like them depending on how much is in it. But I also like to balance things. Like watching Psycho Pass then having to watch something more light hearted after XD

I watched the first 2 episodes of Attack on Titan on my 3DS (promoting the upcoming game). While it's not as gory as say, Elfen Lied, it's probably just as dark, if not darker (and that's saying something)

I am watching Ore Monogatari! I'm really enjoying it; I was actually going to post about it here myself haha. It's more cute than comedic, but there are funny moments and I agree that the unashamed sweetness is charming. I enjoy the dynamic between the main trio a lot.
Summary for anyone interested: It's a shoujo romance with a protagonist very much the opposite of your standard bishounen love interest: an enormous square-jawed bulky dude who's had no luck with girls his entire life because his looks scare them off and they keep falling for his pretty-faced friend instead. One day he saves a young girl from a groper on a train and they end up going out together, and they're both over the moon about it. The rest of the show is basically about them being cute dorks and the prettyboy friend being supportive of them. It sounds simple but it actually works really well and the expressions and reactions are very charming and funny.

Welp I'm going to start watching MY love STORY!! (Ore Monogatari!), time to see how it is XD
I also find it funny how it's so new, and there is all ready a live action XD Bonus that the main character looks so much alike XD
Edit: watched two episodes so far. I like it XD

Crunchy Roll is having a Makoto Shinkai weekend. All of his movies are watchable until the end of Sunday. His stuff is so gorgeous, would highly recommend it. Just finished watching "Children Who Chase Lost Voices", and it was amazing. Very Miyazaki inspired, incredibly rich and heartbreaking. Garden of Words was somewhat melodramatic, but the most beautiful animation of light and reflection that I have ever seen.

I'm currently watching Hakkenden Touhou Ibun

*sighs* Not too happy that an anime series that starting airing back in mid July is being cut short. In case you were wondering, it was God Eater (based on the video game God Eater Burst)

If it wasn't for the multiple episode delays, the series would have completed its run of 13 episodes. Instead, it's going to end with unresolved plot points and/or a cliffhanger.

Most Summer anime is coming to a close and Fall series are starting up.
I still have a bit of summer stuff to catch up on, since I was only watching a couple on Crunchyroll XD But I'm sort of clueless of what is coming out in the fall, except for One Punch Man. That is the only thing I've been hearing about XD And I'm not 100% jumping at that series right now.

From what I've read there, only one series has started. The rest starts later this week or next week. And I was right about God Eater ending on a cliffhanger and unresolved plot points, thanks to its early end. At the end of the episode, it does state that it will return in the winter with the remaining 4 episodes, but I'm a little bit skeptical about that.

Subete ga F ni Naru looks pretty promising as well. Other than that I'll wait to hear what's good.

I should get back to that somewhere else sometime.

Extremely late to the game, but One Punch Man is great. It's funny, has a lot of heart, and the animation is seriously gorgeous.
