Well, my reaction to everything I'm watching this season continues to be "what on earth am I watching" and apparently that's how I like it
Kinda disappointed that the magical boy show still isn't showing signs of plot development or even much character interaction between the villains, come on, give the bad guys more than a minute of screentime in every episode <_< Not that the show isn't so bizarre it's kind of funny but is this series really going to run on random gags all the way through? Seriously I need something to justify my continuing to watch it ahaha... I like incredibly campy parody, I really do, but I wish they'd go deeper into the backstory they keep occasionally hinting at and/or play up the character interaction.

XD I dunno. It doesn't feel "random" to me. Silly, maybe, but I think the show does a good job setting up a premise and theming the whole episode around it. Haruhi Suzumiya this ain't. XD
I don't mind that it's a monster-of-the-week format rather than long-form. It's kind of a standard for the magical girl genre. X3

...Well Yurikuma Arashi got kind of intense in ep 6. That and ep 4 are my favorites so far, since both were more coherent about developing backstory (and toned down the cringeworthy fanservice << much as Ginko was kind of amusing in a few of the ep 5 scenes). Still greatly enjoying the stylistic direction.
And there was actually some development in the sixth magical boys ep, so that's a good sign that the show might actually be going somewhere??

Watched the newest episode of Log Horizon yesterday. I'm still not sold on the vampire lady, she alternates between moments of awesome and moments where you wish she didn't exist, at least not in an anime with a good reputation to uphold.
--- 2/15/15 Watched the newest episode of Log Horizon. Twas good!

Magical boys ep 8: ...Was that a battle or a wedding? I'm glad someone other than Yumoto finally got to take center stage, and the fight scene was actually pretty fun to watch XD also, most relatable villain so far Yurikuma Arashi: has been getting increasingly emotionally painful these last few eps, and keeps ending on cliffhangers guhh. I've come to like all three of the main characters.

Got the last DVD/Bluray set for Fairy Tail. Now to wait for FUNimation to announce they're dubbing the second series, which continues things.
Strange how they decided to cut Fairy Tail right in the middle of a story arc XD But I remember it was only a few episodes behind the manga, so it made sense.
In other news, started to watch some Assassination Classroom too, since they're dubbing it as it's released in Japan XD So that's cool.

I watched the first episode of Assassination Classroom and it seemed pretty quirky, I liked the clean art style but wasn't super interested in the premise so I didn't continue XD The teacher's motivation and goal seemed potentially interesting though.

I started to read it a while back. I didn't get far into it, but I liked it XD So watching the anime to see where it goes. Will probably go back to the manga later.

Annnd the yuri bear show also ended... That was actually a beautiful finale, I really liked how the show's themes came together in the end and brought out the idea of setting aside pride and your own self-image. I find the entire show artistically beautiful as well, ghhhh I love Ikuhara's work.
I'd find this a difficult show to recommend to people though because of all the extremely fanservicey (if not entirely gratuitous) scenes and the very confusing presentation of the whole thing ahaha...
...and now I have no idea what anime to follow in the next season, I guess I could finally see what the fuss is about Gintama? I've kinda wanted to for a while but the number of episodes put me off, I have a terrible attention span heh.

I know it's not new, but I just watched Occult Academy and I looooved it. Then again, it did completely have my number. It's a great mix of myths, cryptids, and weirdness from around the world with a pretty engaging plot and a very emotionally satisfying ending.

Anyone watching Ore Monogatari? I'm one and a half episodes in and it's so...pleasingly saccharine. Like, the last show I watched along with as it was airing was Attack on Titan, and so many recent popular series (Tokyo Ghoul, Parasyte, Terraformars) have looked to be the same level of !!! VISCERAL CARTOON BLOODINESS!!!-- this show is an adorable breath of fresh air! I love the gentle humor and unashamed cute moments.
...I will confess that I had it mixed up with Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun for a while though :v my friend showed me an episode of that too (which -- also cute! Maybe will watch) and for the longest time I thought *that* was Ore Monogatari.
