Don't you just love it when you're bored and cranky, and then you talk to someone who just seems to make the sun shine a little brighter? (You know who you are. <3)

I met Neil Gaiman. And he was as nice as I was lead to believe. ^____^ *huggles signed books*

Wow. My laptop VERY abruptly died today. But Dell tech support is way better than I'd heard (complete with a 24-hour hotline that only took about 20 minutes to deal with), my service plan still had a mere 14 days left on it, and with my class schedule, I'll be able to use various programs on my older computer as a reasonable facsimile to get my homework taken care of until my laptop gets repaired/replaced.
;_; What amazing luck. I could cry.

I'd say that particular stone managed to take care of two birds and put me well on the way toward a third. =D

I'd say that particular stone managed to take care of two birds and put me well on the way toward a third. =D I'd like that, but the concept of killing birds with stones very much baffles me. Even if you get two for one, that still seems awfully inefficient.

I had considered botching a different idiom to convey my enthusiasm about this situation, but no others particularly sprang to mind.

Considering that my average bird-killing rate with a stone would probably be zero, two for one seems like a very efficient rate. For a stone, anyway.

Well, that depends on the mechanism with which you throw the stone. For instance, you might have better luck killing a bird by throwing a stone with a slingshot or sling than by just throwing it by hand. Or any other device that allows for higher-velocity throwing of stones.

Except that there are much more efficient methods for killing birds, and doing it with stones serves no purpose whatsoever beyond enjoyment for whomever gets enjoyment out of that. Killing two bugs with one swat seems a more accessible idiom.
Okay, I'm going to take this off of the mini-gloats board. Check the mini-comments for more idiomatic confusion.

I got the Cover letter, the Resume, all I need is my Mom to deliver it, and then I could potentially get a real job.
... gosh I hope I don't screw up.

Page 1940 of the Art Gallery is one of the most heartwarming things I've ever seen, in follow-up to one of the other most heartwarming things I've ever seen.
TNT is awesome and so are all the AG entrants.
