Wow. When I suggested the whole "Purging the Bad Vibes" board, I meant a thread, not necessarily a whole board...but this is cool! Anyway...I guess I like it here mostly because everyone is helping each other out, and we sort of understand each other. A lot of us are kin of spirit, as many writers and artists are. I love the insanity, but I also like the fact that we can rant here or have a friendly debate or intelligent conversation, and everyone will listen and/or understand.  EDIT: As I said on the "Things" board, this place is also a good escape from reality. My off-line life has been extremely bad lately--and it just took a turn for the worse this morning--but I acn always count on the people here, whether I want to rant or just ignore my life completely. Most of the time, it's the latter. |

I can feel more relaxed at these boards as opposed to the Neochat boards. I'm not saying they're bad or anything, I just feel more cozy and at home here. There's so many different people and a lot of opinions I like to listen to, as well as help and tips here and there. |

Hm, what do I like about the boards? EVERYTHING!!!It just has a nice relaxing atmosphere. And we all know each other. Everyone is nice and thoughtful. We have a lot of fun, especially on the insanity board. I also like ranting, listening to other people's rants, and having a good hard debate. I think, overall, I have gotten a much more positive outlook on life while at these boards. I'm serious. Before I came here, I used to look at things my way and only my way, but now I have learned to take a situation, look at every possible perspective of it, get all the facts, analyze, and discuss. I never did that before. And I think it has actually made me a slightly better person. At least I like to think so But of course, where else could you go out of your limits and be completely, 110% insane? ;D |

What I like best is... everything! ^.^
Everyone is nice, and there are helpful people that comfort you after a bad day, insane people to make you wonder, funny people to make ye laugh, and great times chatting together. And we all love the same thing, no matter how different we are; we all love the Neopian Times! ^____^

I obviously haven't been here that long. However something that has made an impression on me was the atmosphere of acceptance here. It's really hard to come into a new place and try to fit in. But when I came here, I didn't have to 'fit in'. I was automatically accepted. And that is incredibly special both online and off. Other than that, the insanity, open opinions, suggestions, advice, help, etc are pretty cool as well... *hugs* Lis |

What I like about the forum is that you can spend hours and hours holding conversations with nice, intelligent people. You won't be ignored, because, unlike the Neopets guild message boards, this forum has completely different boards. Inside those boards are topics, and inside those boards are threads. Now, tell me your post will get lost in the mass of messages. Because it won't. And people will hear you. No matter how softly you say it.

When shidi first invited me waaay back in October, after I got over my initial hype over being honored at being invited, I thought: "Wow! What a cool idea; a messageboard dedicated to the Times that everyone can join!" I signed up; the messageboard was pretty new, but I blended in instantly. I think the fact that it's about writing and art attracts intelligent people. When I'm upset or frustrated, I can come here and be an entirely different person. This forum is just so welcoming. |

What a cool idea; a messageboard dedicated to the Times that everyone can join!" Same here! Shidi invited me back in early days of the Forum and I thought "Wow! Here I am among all these FAMOUS people! And I am a nothing, really! Why was I invited?" I still may BE a nothing, but I try to be the BEST at what is handed me, and spread the friendship. Don't get me wrong, even though I may have been chosen as a Mod, I still feel the awe and respect for those people like Al, Karma, Scriptfox. and the GREATS that have made the NT what it is. Nothing I will ever do can even get close to that achievement. I salute all of you. |
