Valentine's Day Virtual Card Exchange!

Hey there! Happy February! Say, do you miss the time back in elementary school when St. Valentine's Day was just about running to all your classmates' desks and giving and receiving candy and fun little Valentine cards?

Well... How would you like to do something similar here on our good ol' NTWF? =O

Hard to send real candy, of course, but-- Let's sign up here, make silly virtual cards, and then we'll all send them to each of the other participants on February 14th! Let's try to share some good vibes and maybe some bad-funny puns. ^^

Also, first time doing this, so please feel free to make suggestions for how we wanna do this!

- First question: Would participants prefer the cards sent via PM, or posted here in the thread? The upside to PMs would be that it'd be closer to actually having a stuffed mailbox on the 14th; but on the other hand, the thread here would let people show off what they make. What would you prefer?
We'll send and share our finished valentine cards here in this thread!

- Let's make this a fun and low key, chill event! You can do a visual art valentine card, or even a silly little written poem sort of card. I kinda even want to encourage QUALITY virtual cards. Like, making it messy and just rolling with it and having fun, and still making it full of good vibes for the people you're sending them to! 8D

- Should hopefully go without saying, but again, low key and fun with nice vibes but not romantic, plz. XD If you're looking for a venue to make some grand declaration of your love, this is not really the place. XD

- It will be up to each person whether they want to just make a single card that they send to everybody, or if they want to make a different card for each participant (for example, a series of themed cards that all have a different gardening pun, or something). But, regardless of whether you make one or multiple cards, don't forget, you MUST send a card to every other participant!

- If you don't have an image host but want to make visual cards to participate, just let me know, and I'll be happy to host your card(s) on my Imgur and share the URLs with you for you to send! ^^

- On February 12th or 13th, an optional fun thing could be to post here in this thread with a description of your virtual decorated Valentines mailbox!

After all, it was to help our busy schedule of going to school, playing in the mud, getting scolded for playing in the mud and immediately going in the house, taking a shower, having dinner, and then being read a bedtime story. It's exhausting!)

Aaa, I used to do this kind of stuff in highschool. Drew cards for my various friends just so that I'd have a reason to draw and gift something. Valentine's Day has always been more of a friendship holiday around here.

...never got much back so I didn't keep it up for very long, BUT I get the feeling my soul might need a bit of a re-enactment of this concept. In other words, sign me up! I'm not feeling at all inspired right now but I will figure something out and I've been needing to kickstart my drawing back into gear so I'll take this as A Sign.

Would it be okay if somebody as untalented as I use clip art and other images to create my Valentines?

Or should they be personally made?

I feel like clip art would be fun! For other images, I'm currently having trouble figuring out where the line should be, so maybe just stick to art that's expressly made to be used by others (like clip art and such)?

You can dress it up in a simple art program like Paint, or something, too! Messy or silly, it's all awesome so long as you're having fun and sharing positive vibes, I say. =D

Stock images and clip art should be fine, but not fan art or images created by other people.

And I'd like to join!! Hopefully Paint can bring my artistic visions to life.

I guess we probably should have a hard deadline on sign-ups, just to make sure we don't somehow have a last minute scramble. XD
How about--February 10th will be the last day to sign up. So please join in before then if you want to make valentines! ^^ (I hope that leaves us enough time.)

We are a Neopets forum in the core of our soul, so I guess it makes sense to allow official Neo art, since we know its source! XD (Obviously, emphasis on the "official" part. Similar to above, no using fan art by others and all that jazz.)

(Also, wasn't 100% sure, Riel, are you signing up, too? =o )
