How detailed should our Valentines be?
So far mine consists of a background, clip art and a few sentences. Will that suffice, or should I add more?

That sounds great to me, downrightdude! I wanted this to be an overall pretty chill event, so I really don't want anyone to stress over how much they ""should"" be doing for this event, as long as they have fun and send good vibes to everyone! ^^ I hope everyone's having fun brainstorming or making cards so far! |

(Also, wasn't 100% sure, Riel, are you signing up, too? =o ) Yeah I think I will, this seems like a fun idea. Though I too will just make one card that all participants will get a copy of. |

I have a pretty solid idea of what I'm going to do... but oh! What if I did this other thing instead!
^my thought process on the Valentine Cards so far. Maybe the SSS Friendship will sail a different year, I'm leaning towards fancy handlettering instead.

Don't know if Paint offers such an expensive service. I'm almost done my batch! Then I'll bake the cookies, find accompanying love songs because everything I do needs to be EXTRA, and find a puffy pink dress to wear! |

Well it's Valentine's Day! And I am having trouble sleeping SO I'mma get this rolling and post my card. Happy Valentine's Day NTWF. I decided to do a printable quarter-fold greeting card!  If anyone actually decides to print it, fold it over such that the Aisha/Calendar stays on the same side (no crease between them), and then fold it over again so the Aisha and calendar are on the inside of the card and touching each other -- which should make the "Happy Valentine's Day" the card's cover, and the "RielCZ cards" is the back of the card; I hope that makes enough sense heh. Otherwise, just rotate the image and zoom in on the various things. Since Grade 2 or thereabouts onward through until Grade 8 or whenever we stopped doing a classroom Valentine's exchange, I always designed and printed very similar-style cards. Typically, I found and in later years drew an image for the front, had fun with text/fonts on the back, and inside was a calendar and an official picture from whatever TV show I was interested in at the time. And the whole thing was laced with random clipart.  I always thought the calendar was useful, and so did several of my classmates -- though eventually someone pointed out I always gave them away when the month was already half over, haha. Still, this NTWF Valentine's exchange idea was super fun and I'm happy I got inspired to make another Valentine's card again. I made a few even after the classroom exchanges ceased, though my most recent one I found dates from 2013! I used to make 'em in The Print Shop but rather than get my old Windows 2000 computer going I thought to just recreate the style in Inkscape, which was a journey in and of itself.Looking forward to see what everyone else has! 💟 (And Lizica if I did this wrong I'm sorry let me know how to fix it.) |

Timezones being what they are, it's already midway through Valentine's Day here so I'll post mine as well. I also only did one card but on the upside, it's a COMIC. And it's PINK. How pink? THIS PINK.  *kazoo* As somewhat of a backstory and because my art theme for this year seems to be cribbing off of things I did 10+ years ago, there's a picture in my art folder that I can't exactly remember the full story of, only that it's titled Ginzbunny and I drew it prrrobably for her birthday in 2007. Legends never die, as they say. And neither does radioactive waste.
