Okay. A few more comments about Carolyn's card, because I just looked at it again. Getting me a card with "Joy" is always appropriate. The Pokémon cards... I've never played with Pokémon cards, but I'm of the age where just mentioning it feels like part of my childhood. I mean, we're talking about the original Pokémon on the original Gameboy. so there's that. The butterfly cutout is beautiful! And finally... it has cardinals on it! Always appropriate for anyone in the St. Louis area, even if that part wasn't intentional. So yeah. Thanks again! *grins* |

Carolyn, we got your card! Or should I say cards, since you managed to pack in one each. I'll be speaking for myself here: thank you so much! First up, the card you picked for me is lovely and has the Ukrainian seal of approval. <3 all of the sentiments you wrote on it are sweet, and I certainly hope so. The sticker you inclued is indeed appreciated, as it is on my computer. The Pokemon cards were very nice too (heh, amoongus) so now we gotta figure out what to do with them. Oh, and the stickers on the envelope with you wrote our names on (starry sky for me, cloudy one for Thundy) were a fantastic touch. Loved them.

Okay, I gotta say, when I first kicked off this event, I absolutely didn't foresee how wacky it could get. So! Came back from a nice weekend from the parents' place today, checked the mailbox on our way of lugging the entire entourage up the stairs, and our first card is in! technically. It's from Kat ! (what) From 2020! (what) With a very pretty Japanese stamp! (ooh shiny - also what) I mean xD Since I'm not going to necro a three-year-old thread that's effectively the same thread as this one anyway, thank you for this magnificent blast-from-the-future-past, and for the good wishes, and the stickers! Traveler likes the rocketship-house sticker and also painstakingly read the card himself, which he couldn't even do three years (or even one year) ago, so bonus =D |

I've been bugging my post office for YEARS to send your card and they kept saying no even after I was sure they couldn't use the pandemic excuse. There were no planes going to Estonia from the Philippines, they said, and I wondered why cards couldn't take connecting flights like people. Just pop it into a plane going to Estonia after sending it to a country to which we actually deliver mail? It was so weird. I sat on unsent Christmas cards until someone on the discord (I believe it was Liou) pitched the idea of taking the cards to a post office in Japan while I was there last month. So I packed up cards I couldn't send from here and waited for an opportunity to go looking for a post office. Then I found out that our hotel in Osaka was a short distance away from the area's post office. It was very easy to find, so on a day when my sister didn't want to leave the hotel and had a bit of a cold (y'know, tropics people and autumn in Japan don't always mix), I left to find the post office, and lo and behold, all I had to say was "yes those are greeting cards" and off they went, Japanese stamps and all. The moral of the story is that the next time I want to join a Christmas card swap, I better be sure I'm going abroad to Japan or any country that's got better postal coverage than the Philippines. |

Twillie and Allison, your cards came through at the exact same time with the exact same franking mark, so that was fun. Thank you both! Twillie, we both really loved the stickers and the excellent Pokemon doodle. Allison, you and the sloth are adorable. That was a lovely photo!

We'll be going away tomorrow for a couple weeks so any cards that arrive after that are going to have to fraternize awkwardly in the mailbox until after new year. BUT we have received a few by now! First one to arrive was Carolyn 's card I think about last week, and o mai, the colors! the stickers! the song! the Pokemon cards! ...which immediately got absorbed into the depths of the kids' room and their growing collection, so they came to a good home. Then a few days later we got the card from Nimras and doggy pun card is best card. The Neopets card is also awesome (we could never get them here, obviously) and the ice dragon sticker found a home brightening up the backup freezer on the balcony =D Give Bigby a wee snuggle from all of us. And then a few days back we got Twillie 's card and aaa, the TNT office background with meepits is amazing. As are the stickers. And the card itself is so pretty. Thank you, everyone <3 It's easy to remember why I keep sticking with this event. |

We received Nimras's card a few days ago, just forgot to mention it! Love the puppy card. The yellow draik egg Neopets TCG was also neat, and so was the d20 octopus. Going to put that on my desktop. Once again, thank you! |

I received my first two cards today! They really cheered me up, which I needed, cause I caught a cold right after Christmas and have been in bed a lot the last few days recovering. Doing much better, though, and I've confirmed it's not the dreaded Covid nor the flu... just an annoying cold. Anyway, on to the fun part!
Nimras The puppy card is adorable!! <3 It made me smile a lot and I showed it excitedly to my dog even though she can't see, but I can tell she approved. My husband was also very amused at the Feliz Navidog pun, hehe. The beautiful envelope with cherry blossoms is very beautiful too! Is it the kind that's gifted on Chinese New Years? I also adore the Shoyru Plushie card, it's super cute! I'm so excited to have a Neopets TCG card now! And the d20 sticker is, of course, awesome! Thank you so much for sending such cool and thoughtful goodies in addition to your lovely card. <3
