Faerie quests and first dialogue are live. Charity Corner elements not live yet. Jhudora and Illusen have been tasked with jointly hosting the event this year. Which is... well, I guess in-character for Fyora's traditionally bonkers decisions. xP
Wondering if they're planning to clear up the backstory for this particular feud. If so, I hope they do it well. It's been left to the imagination for so long and the old Neopedia articles made it all sound pretty high stakes.

Just a heads up, yes the event is live, but clicking on Faerie Quests will give you elements from a previous Faerie Festival.

I think the art and everything may all be updated now, although I was there earlier when it still showed the artwork from last year's festival lol. I forgot everything that happened, so at first I was like, "....Did the artist mess up and draw.... two Aethias?" They've all been stuck in those positions since last year, somebody help them
Got a Fyora quest today \o/ I've been seeing a lot of reports of people getting Fountain Faerie, Fyora, and Grey Faerie, so it makes me think TNT deliberately increased the odds for the more desirable quests. They're not the only ones available, as others have gotten stuff like Earth and Water as well, but perhaps this will set the tone for the events' rewards going forward >w>
Charity Corner aspects of the event aren't here yet, and apparently there's a rumor spreading that TNT scrapped those elements from the event last minute, but as of now that doesn't seem very reliable (or at least, I'm not buying it until I see it).

I'm excited! I'm glad faerie quests will finally align with the Faerie Festival. Though as someone who has no need of FFQs anymore and has had SW blocked for months by a grey faerie quest because I didn't want to risk losing a dip but couldn't decide on what to do with it, I'm horrified at the idea that this situation could happen again, lol. I actually already got another grey faerie quest today, so I'm already in the same dilemma. That said, is anyone here in need of a dip? Edit: Found someone! (But if this happens again, will def be looking for another person to use up the dip. :3)

...am I the only one that gets a "bitter exes" vibe from Illusen and Jhudora's dialogue? Got the Battle Faerie right off the bat. I've been kind of inactive on Neopets lately and thus haven't done anything in the way of training for quite a while, but the stat increases are still nice.

Bitter exes was the vibe I also got, and I'm sure it's what TNT was going for with their dialogue haha. They like to lean into fan favorite pairings like that I've noticed.

So this year's Faerie Festival begins with Fyora deciding there will not be one host but two... and decided it to be Illusen and Jhudora, working together. I think you'd have an easier job convincing Balthazar to stop trapping Faeries in bottles. Looking a bit deeper into the Part 1 dialogue: Hm, so they added a bit more to Illusen's & Jhudora's previous relation. Obviously when TNT first made them it was kept vague to let players fill in the blanks for their own stories; there didn't need to be an official reason, what matters is that Illusen & Jhudora are rivals edging on arch-enemies. Now, in my opinion, if they were going to reveal what actually happened between them, I would like it to have been something major. I've written an outline of a Faerieland plot which incorporates that and some other Faerie-related things, so I have a bit of a bias (too complex to write out here, all I'll say is that it gets revealed in the past Jhudora was part of a coup attempt against the previous Faerie Queen, she was friends with Illusen who finds out, as Jhudora chased after Illusen the other members of the coup get caught, and since then the rivalry has been Jhudora trying to make sure Illusen never reveals that dark secret while Illusen hopes Jhudora to one day come clean). Anyway, them revealing the "friendship" was more of a passing knowing of each other, or at the very least what was an early attempt of a friendship turning sour, I feel dampens the feud against them. I always felt like whatever Jhudora did was a major betrayal, one she feels she is not only can turn back from but justified in doing. Yet over the years the rivalry has been played down, with them just as willing to play harmless pranks against one another as threaten greater harm. So while what Jhudora did was a major betrayal that broke their friendship, both still feel some care toward the other. But now, unless Illusen and Jhudora are hiding the nature of their friendship, if they did barely know each other their rivalry goes from a broken bond to a "petty" grudge. Certainly would have to rewrite my headcanon for them. That said, though they revealed this info, whether they go back on it or not, I'd also not want them to reveal the reason behind their rivalry. As I noted, this feels like something that could be used as a big reveal for a Faerieland plot, so rather possibly never know it than make it something "mundane" revealed in an annual Event. Oh, hey, continuity from the Festival of Neggs! At the end of the Event, Mira said Illusen wanted to talk to her about the "smog" problem, and we're following up on it now. So Fyora's idea for this Faerie Festival is to help clean up the land, skies, and seas from recent pollution, and to do that she got Illusen... and Jhudroa. Not an Air Faerie and/or Water Faerie who's power would be directly useful in that, no a Darkness Faerie who's solution was just destroying the factories. Good job Fyora, I can see why you're in charge . I'm surprised Jhudora even cares, I guess even though their element is darkness even Darkness Faeries need nature to remain clean. Though what she says is interesting, it's not just the factory is releasing pollution, but it's making "pollution machines". What are these machines exactly? If they're going to introduce vehicles into lore I at the very least hope they make them look like something Moltara would produce and it not to look like a normal car. Also, if this is a major issue as it sounds to be, this isn't something for a Faerie Festival but rather Fyora should be gathering the world leaders. I mean, I guess a train wreck is "exciting" in certain ways, especially when its two trains going full speed toward each other. Even Mira agrees you just don't get that good of entertainment these days, or at least not with a popcorn vendor and betting. Well that didn't last long, if Fyora didn't teleport away she was probably still visible in the distance; maybe even heard the screams to. So I guess this is probably going to be how Charity Corner is going to be incorporated, Jhudora and Illusen both requesting "donations" to make up for half the budget they split. Should be interesting to see what they do, like if we do points does that mean there's going to be two different "currencies"? Or are there no points and each will have their own prize pool? Would be odd if they shared points, though if they do will probably at least have different prize shops. Guess we'll see, I'll admit they got me intrigued.

If you go to their quests, Illusen and Jhudora have both replaced themselves with cardboard cutouts. They really do think alike.
And hhhhhk I got a FFQ straight away! It turns out I already had one lined up so I should really do something with that one first.

Heyo! If y'all get an overpriced quest item for your quest, lmk and if I got one, it's yours. Down with inflation!

Woot woot FFQ! I'll have to think about who to use it on 🤔 Most of my permanent pets are pretty much dolled up how I like them these days, but there's always room for more lol.
Re: Charity corner elements: I don't think they've scrapped it. The news page entry still mentions it so most likely it'll pop up when the story progresses.

Looks like I got mad lucky with my first quest, Aethia asked me for a Healing Potion XII and Marina sells them for like 41 np. If we had more actual permanently stocked shops like this across the site, maybe life would be a tiny bit nicer for everyone.
Either this will be the first time in my literally 20 years on the site for me to actually get a FFQ during this event or I will finally buckle down and draw the comic idea I've been harboring about it, so either way we can only go up from here :'D

I've been reading the JN comment thread about the various updates and inflation, and I'm a little afraid to accept today's quest now. ^^;
Crossing my fingers that the donation aspect becomes a daily because that 10 item limit is definitely not enough. I want to free up my SDB, please!!

I got ridiculously lucky and got an FFQ. Not only that, but the requested item was Spiced Apple Pie, which I got for less than 20 nps. I thought about what I'd like and... honestly, I already have more pets than I'd ever need. ^^; Not to mention, way back in the day another NTWFer helped me to get my Custard Blumaroo. So if anyone here still happens to need a specific FFQ-able pet, send me a DM and I'll be happy to paint the pet for you. ❤

Well, they walked the item donation limit back, from 10 to 30, and additionally announced that r200 items would not be donatable at all. Squeezy tombola guy toys just went from ~600k to ~70k in the space of about 24 hours.
...xDDDDD *cries in Bought 18 Of Them From Scalpers* Oh well.
