We're a week away from October and the official Inktober prompt list has been put out, so it's time to get ready for our own daily prompts event as well! This thread is the place to share creative daily prompt lists that you may have come across or made yourself, and once October gets started we can all share our creations with each new day! Any prompt lists shared here I'll also edit into this post to keep everything organized :3
There's no limit to creative medium, be it traditional or digital, 2D or 3D, visual art or creative writing, etc. There's also no requirement to how many prompts you create for, or how many lists you want to use. Some people like to do something for every single day, and then others may be just a few or anything in between. It's all about what works best for you! So feel free to share your prompt lists and creations as we get going, and I look forward to seeing what everyone creates! :3 Also, for anyone who participates, you can receive the October Creative Challenge Badge Prompt Lists:

I added in a couple more lists I found! Drawtober has only six prompts for the month, for those who may not have the time or energy for something everyday or just want something more lowkey. I see that it's been linked in the past as well, so people may be familiar with it already!
Undying Tales Project is a new one for me, and it's themed to endangered species and the mythology that surrounds them. This one has prompts every other day, so sort of in between daily and weekly prompts.

Technically this one was posted for Webtoon creators, but who says we have to play by the rules:

I'm working on a personal prompts list right now. I've got it broadly into four categories, based on what I need to work on for my story idea.
1. Characters 2. Setting 3. Familiars and Focuses 4. Story
I have prompts for all but the last right now. I'm still debating what to do about the story category, or I could even replace it. But I was thinking things like "How is the hat found?" or "What does she do with the hat?" basic sort of questions I'll need to figure out for the story. Might be too hard for a daily prompt list though, I don't know.

25. Premise 26. Genre 27. Theme 28. Logline 29. Title 30. Relationships 31. Opening Scene I've created my very own prompt list for this year! I don't really expect anyone else to follow it, because it's tailored to what I need to do. But I'm still pretty happy with it, and wanted to share. My goal is to work on my story idea this autumn. Since I'm unable to predict what order is actually best to put these in, I'm going ahead and saying these can be done in any order, just keep trying to make progress!

Last night I had the novel idea to start working on my prompts a day early, so that I have all day the next day to post them, rather than scrambling at the end of the day to post them every single day.
So I'll try to start this evening.

It's Taffy! And Hat! In one drawing! That's 9. Taffy and 14. Hat, for those of you keeping track. Have some bonus Guinea Pig sketches as well! It's been to long since I've drawn guinea pigs, so while I think my final product is good, I would like to have Taffy be a bit more stylized for the final project. For reference, this Guinea Pig drawing from two years ago is one of my all-time favorites: It captures a guinea pig without much detail at all. But I've lost that touch I had with guinea pigs, and I need to build it up again. I'm also thinking that I would like to add the vertical lip under the nose for Guinea Pigs from now on, because I think it helps define the nose as a rodent nose better.

Finished this literally three minutes before midnight my time lol. I don't plan on keeping up with prompts every day, or even complete a prompt list this year, but I'll still join in when I'm feeling inspired or motivated.
Went with the Neotober list for day one, with the prompt being "pumpkin." Yet another cute dress for Zathandria to wear and for me to wish existed so I could wear it too, aka the Fall Pumpkin Spice Witch Dress.

It's 1930s Jess! That's two prompts again, 1. Jess and 18. 1930s America. I originally thought of this story as just being in a generic modern day. But then I started thinking about setting it during the Great Depression, which despite its name, is one of my favorite time periods. There's just something about people's resilience during that time. All that said, I'm actually leaning towards setting Jess' story in modern era after all, and leaving the 1930s to its own story. There's already enough story elements I think, without tossing in the complication of making it a period piece as well.

DeviantArt is giving out badges for taking part in their Drawtober event. You don't have to submit each day, just once for each of the three themed "phases", so I decided to go for that as my plate in October is already a bit full. www.deviantart.com/mintydreams7/art/Pumpkidragn-2-985638015I picked out the "Pumpkin" theme from their list in phase 1, and redrew the Jack O' Lantern dragon that I created for one of the October art challenge prompts in 2020!
