October is coming, and that means it's time for October Creative Challenges!

This year I'm hosting Artober, which is open to all types of artwork and prompts! This is the place to post any prompt lists, artwork, comments, or discussion before and throughout the month of October.

Anyone can join in at any time and any skill level. It's lot of fun, whether you do one or thirty-one drawings. And if you post at least one piece, you can earn this shiny forum badge:

Okay, but yeah, yay for Artober! ^^ The part-time-job-thing that usually keeps me busy in autumn isn't happening this year, unfortunately, but I'll at least have time to do some art. That said, though, I've been thinking about maybe making my own list to work through (maybe partially adapted from my Spring Cleaning list), because I have so many art projects that I want to finish, and I'd like to try to channel the October creative energy into working on them.

And if/when I need extra inspiration, I'm gonna check out the prompts put together by Ginz in the NTWFtober thread, or the list of prompts by the folks in the OCtober thread. \ o / Also curious what kind of list you're putting together, June!

(I also looked it up on Tumblr out of curiosity, so here are two other art challenge prompt lists I found if anyone out there is still unsure of what they want to do. ^^)

Oh whoops, October snuck up on me, so I hadn't really settled on what I may do this month xD Upon thinking, I got the idea to combine the month's daily prompts with something I've been meaning to do anyway, which is gardening research. So, I made up my own list of herbs or other plants I'd be interested in growing for various reasons, or even just know more about. Each day, I'll do some research on growing instructions for that specific plant, documenting what I find and sketching the plant as well. I'd like to start my own herb garden, so this will hopefully give me the encouragement to finally dip my toes into the world of growing and figure out what I'd want to plant!

I think I have ideas for all of these except for "Tomb."

Lightning should be a lot of fun. You'll just have to to wait and see what it is.

I've got a concept of Jane baring her fangs while swinging her skillet.

For stitches I thought I'd either draw Saskori because her dress has patches and stitches in it, or I'd draw a generic Neopets plushie.

For Dark Faeries I thought I'd draw the Dark Faerie from Neoquest II www.jellyneo.net/index.php?go=neoquest2&act=haunted_woods&map=balthazars_grove_post_faeries

Zombie is easy, I'll just draw Alvideria.
