It might be tougher in short stories, certainly (as well as series). I myself don't reeeeally have a neosona or anything. The few times I've appeared in comics was just me (drawn in HD MS paint B) ).

We always tell people they can interpret a theme however they want. For "The Heart of the Press," you could also make up a story about a character from the press, I would think.
