I don't think I've heard of Xenia before either, but turns out that she's a character from the TCG cards: bookofages.jellyneo.net/characters/545/She was created/released in 2000, and this is only the third item ever made for her! (since apparently she had an NC item made in her name last October) |

Oh hey, another obscure character from the neopedia made an appearance in the Advent Calendar!
This one's interesting, perhaps I'm remembering it wrong, but I always thought Kyrii had long manes that stretched all the way down their spines? Here however, it seems that it's more like really long hair. Was this always the case?

I believe the mane extending down the spine and into a tail is the original design, and Tavi is a more unique interpretation of the Kyrii. Other Kyrii characters like Jacques display that more classic Kyrii look, but other characters like Stan are inconsistent in whether that's a tail or their hair tied back. I think it just depends which artist made the illustration/character design, kind of like how Aisha eyes are drawn inconsistently between site characters, or how some characters don't feature a classic look of their species like Kell's lack of Wocky mane. |
