The gifs from the single gif days are taken from the already existing Fun Images. Probably for break days between newer content. No comment on the method, just want to make sure people are aware.
And I actually like today's, may be reading too deep but it looks like a body positivity theme to me? Cute.

Yeah.... All the single panel gifs* seem as if they are missing something. Like... A lot, actually. No background, and there seems to be a pretty significant piece missing from them, too.... What is the hand grabbing? Who/what is he throwing they snowball at? They are just odd. It's almost like there are two different advent calendars this year. The comics, and the single panel gifs, and those feel discombobulating, after they very well done full comics. And yes, with the prizes not fitting the graphic too.
*Please excuse my possibly improper use of "gif" here. I'm just not sure how to differentiate between the two types.

Gotta say, I quite love today's little Bruce dance, nothing can stop that man.
Also not sure the exact story- at least, I'm not sure what prompted the second panel- but I think the general idea is that the difference between a good and bad day for these two is just a matter of perspective? Or perhaps their day was turned around with the coming of the holiday season (implying they were sitting around the rest of the year solemnly waiting for December while last year's decorations slowly crumbled around them, an image I find quite amusing xD)

Oof I double-checked the prizes list and it turned out the one day I missed so far was the Snowickle coin. xD; Had to go drop 140k on it, but I'm glad I caught it now instead of randomly finding out in a year via checklists or something.

Want to make a more indepth comment about my thoughts for this year's Advent Calendar, but for right now I really wanted to comment what's going on at this moment. So Day 16's prizes aren't currently working, you get an error message asking to refresh the page. Why is this notable? WELL, it just so happens Day 16's animated comic references a certain popular meme which just so perfectly fits with the situation: Part of me is questioning this is actually on purpose and like tomorrow we'll be getting double the prizes, lol. |
