Supposedly, Legends and Letters is dead. They zeroed out the need for gems to buy anything and abandoned support. The platform was supposed to disappear.
However, starting this week, L&L is now giving crossover chests for completing their daily challenges. I don't know if anyone on their team will notice and disable it, but for now, if you still have your L&L app working, go in there and score some swag. Now that they allow it to be sold and traded, some of the items fetch a pretty NP in the shops and TP.

Sad that a Verizon tech support hard reset my phone.  I lost L&L with that mistake, too *sigh*. Good luck if you go for it, all! |

Back when TNT announced the game was being pulled, I did download the app on my phone and still have it. I never bothered to play it though, mostly because the prizes were no trade and admittedly I don't care for casual mobile games too much. Now that the prizes are tradeable, however, I guess I... care more?  But is it even possible to link an account anymore, and, if so, what are steps required, and how much of a time investment is it to get one of those chests? |

It helps hone Scrabble skills, and doing the daily challenges is a decent time killer when you ave a spare few minutes. |

I still... really am not sure quite what is happening in the game besides me spelling words, but I'm trying to follow JN guides and nevertheless I'm getting prizes so that's good I guess? There was a Neopets plot sometime back to introduce the main characters. Supposedly, some character named Claymaker has cursed Neopets to serve him. You need to free these Neopets by defeating them in battle. You use Neopet heroes you acquire and train up to aid you. It's like a match 3 game (Dragons:Titan Uprising or similar), but instead of matching color tiles for a power up, you use a Scrabble board, or you can go with automatic, which you attack with minimal character power. Attacks and characters are element based and have greater power over certain other elements. Earth->Lightning->Water->Fire->Earth There is a side game where you attack new monsters for special items. Originally, It appears they were going to have arenas and levels across Neopia, with various stages in each, but they gave up after three. They also have a lot of characters in their Codex that have never been released. I've tried, but never was able to obtain all of them. Right now, with gems zeroed out you can load up on coins and ascension stones, get Ultimate Summons Tokens, and level up heroes. You can also create several leaders and level them up so you can use leaders for various tasks, and Claymaker monsters. My guess is like other ventures, this one never caught on, so they abandoned it. Ghoul Catchers is also out there and gave Neopets account items when you finished each house, but once you finished all the levels, there was nothing more to get, so I kinda stopped plying it. L&L at least has a challenge in creating words, so it helps improve your vocabulary, but if you're stuck for words... wordfinder.yourdictionary.com/ |
