Well, what do you know? Topsi was a sleeper agent cyborg created by Doctor Sloth long before he was captured. That I did not see coming. Also, Space Faerie Kari was adorable. The one thing that I did not like about the ending was how it was applied as there was barely any build up to it, other than the start of the event and a few clues scattered about.

I did not follow the event, but r.e. the art: Cyborg Topsi looks like something from FNAF, he is legitimately quite horrifying! xD

I LOVE IT xDD I'd been hoping for so long for a canon take on Topsi's resemblance to an animatronic from 5 Nights at Freddy's, I feel very spoiled. x3 The image where he gets zapped has a Looney Tunes-esque quality to it, too! The Bionic Cybunny has been a cool image and concept that I've seen around the site but never actually used, so it's good to have its coolness used for something. I'm sure the dangerous vibe will only make him more popular! Kari as Mira was priceless. I think that the sudden-ness of the ending was actually for the better, because this festival was far from a plot, there was very little action for us players to do from our ends, so I think spreading revelations out would have lessened the excitement, compared with this rapid burst of happenings. Also can we take a moment to appreciate Kari the Negg Faerie's courage in acting as bait for a killer robot??? because she just did that! Of course we always knew that a Faerie who grows expensive plants and lives near the Snowager must have guts. This was quite a moment.

Ah ha, I started to get the feeling that Topsi was a robot! It crossed my mind yesterday when trying to figure out why the Rainbow Pool specifically, and between that and "Creator," I figured maybe the pool's water short circuited him or something and that's why he was acting so strange. However, I didn't go so far as to think that Topsi throughout all these years was a robot, but rather that the real one was kidnapped and replaced by an android only this year xD That's what made me hesitate on the theory, because how would Sloth accomplish that while imprisoned? But lol, I'm a fan of this retcon xD

Festival of Neggs 2021 Final Thoughts: * I feel compared to last year this was mostly a letdown while ramping things up at the end (but we'll get to that). I feel they could have done a better job with giving the hints. Last year I think most days gave us some insight on who stole the Neggs, while this year is was mostly fluff with only clues at the beginning and end. Maybe even provide additional hints via the Topsi Hide-And-Seek. * Speaking of the Topsi Hide-And-Seek, it was poorly implemented and a lot of people forgot about it as there was nothing to remind them to do it. After finding the Negg they could have had Kari remind us the look for Topsi and even have a counter on the main page showing us how many times we found him/still need to find him. And considering what was going on with Topsi, it felt out-of-place as had nothing to do with the story. If they wanted to add in a 2nd activity to do I wouldn't mind them brining back the Plain Plastic Negg hunts TNT did between 2012 & 2014. Or, to keep with the story, maybe we join Dr. Neggistential in investigating what's wrong with Topsi, getting some additional items in the process (sorta like the 2011 Festival Quests). * That leads into the story. So we all figured Topsi was under Sloth's influence in someway... I just didn't think they would go the route they did. Topsi was a Sloth-made android this entire time? Feels fanfic-ish, something we'd made a joke about on the Neoboards and the Neopian Times. What's next, Granny Hopbobbin was a criminal kingpin this entire time? And exactly what was Sloth's plan for Topsi anyway? What does Kari and the Festival of Neggs have anything to do with the Space Faerie? And of course, this now brings up the question are there any other Sloth-made Sleeper Androids? I'll give JS this, it was a surprising ending and gave us some wild imagery, and bigger picture I guess it doesn't change much as they're reprogamming Topsi to be "normal" again. Still, giving the Neggbreaker a brother in the Neggnapper is fine, but I feel this is going a bit far and I hope JS dials it back. BTW, is JS implying the Space Faerie got her Token back? That would be major news as now they would technically has Sloth in custody; infact I'd imagine Mira would hand off the Token to either The Resistance, Faerieland, or even the Defenders of Neopia so they could lock Sloth away (maybe even put him on trial). * Prizes were pretty good this year. Going by the Neggs first, big winners were "Lady Blurg" with a Stamp and "Void" with a pretty nice BD weapon (and a book). "Wild" having a nice Background, Petpet, and book also made it a Negg you could never go wrong picking. Sadly "Chalkboard" and "Rippling Colours" didn't really have anything good in them (though all prizes looked pretty). Final Prizes are pretty nice too, don't really have a complaint about them.

if you'll like I just got my fourth blade today so you can have one. Thanks, but I did get one after all! And then another one on the next day. Funny how luck works like that. ANYWAY not gonna lie that was actually the best possible ending that I didn't know I needed until I saw it.
I only wish now that I would have made it more explicit in the NT story I wrote where Topsi's head could be unattached from his body and he's still fine, haha.

I ended the event with five. Turns out there might be a glitch with the Beta site that makes certain features which give a "random" item give the same item over and over again. Currently the Giant Jelly has this problem giving away the same Jelly for many, only way to get a random one is via switching to the non-beta version of the page: www.neopets.com/jelly/jelly.phtml/x

if you read the hint texts for Topsi being a sloth minion, it was slightly noticable, but yeah, this was way too sudden and out of left field. Plus, a couple of plot holes. But TNT did a pretty great job with the ending scene, and Kari as the space faerie is especially pretty! I give it a thumbs up. could've used a bit more polish in terms of hinting, but other than that, good job.

Heads up, there's a glitch with the Rare Cyber Negg awarded for finding Topsi at least once when fed to your pets (heals instead of increasing Max HP), so TNT issued the Rare Cyber Negg 2.0 as compensation. You just have to revisit the Festival of Neggs page in order to claim it.
