For here, you need to complete a pair of Pfizer or Moderna initial doses. Once you have that, you can choose to mix and match Pfizer or Moderna. And the original boosters are not available anymore, so your third shot and fourth shot will be the bivalent booster with omicron and original mRNA strains. I think Novavax is available here but I don’t personally know anyone that chose that vaccine.
It’s worthy to note that Pfizer boosters are the full dose worth of mRNA while Moderna boosters are a half dose of mRNA compared to the initial full doses.

I've been SO careful. I've worn an N95 everywhere I go indoors. The One Time that I let down my guard and hung out with a small group of my friends (who are all max vaxxed), one of them tells me that she has Covid today.
I am supposed to be flying out to CA on Wednesday to see my friend, and now I'm ready to start bawling because I could have been exposed.

It always sucks when stuff like that happens. I hope you stay well, and look after yourself either way!

If the pandemic has made have a layperson’s interest in epidemiology, here’s an interesting article about how viruses such as SARS-Cov-2, RSV, and influenza have a tendency to interfere with each other which explains some of the strange patterns with respiratory viruses we’ve experienced. arstechnica.com/science/2023/01/covid-rsv-and-the-flu-a-case-of-viral-interference/In particular, I find it interesting that in 2021, when Covid surged in the winter, the other winter viruses took a back seat. But in 2022, given that many have some level of immunity against Covid but maybe didn’t get RSV or Flu in 2021, it made RSV and Flu have strong resurgence.

I finally got COVID-19 for the first time, and I did not feel great at all. I managed to get Paxlovid pretty quickly after onset of a barrage of symptoms.
Current situation: I took my first dose of Paxlovid, and sure enough, everything tastes like metal. That's a harmless side effect of one of the pills in the three pill cocktail. My brain fog is mostly subsiding, but I still have chills, aches, and some other symptoms. I don't expect instant cure of course, but I'm glad I'm seeing some good signs already.

Third full day with Covid-19, second day with Paxlovid.
I’m still dealing with the most annoying cough ever and I still have a bit of residual tiredness. Some brain fog still exists at times. No fever or chills or muscle aches anymore.

I tested negative for Covid-19 yesterday and my symptoms have pretty much all faded. Still coughing a bit as my throat continues the business of healing up. Tonight is my last dose of Paxlovid as you’re supposed to finish it all even if you feel better. It definitely helped me speed up recovery tremendously.
