GWEEE, thank you so much, June! This is wonderful, I love it. <33 I haven't seen Frozen II, but Into the Unknown is the one song from it that I've listened to on repeat, so I knew exactly what this adaptation was and could sing it in my head as I went. =D I love how you've illustrated it, and I especially love the visible rising determination in the last several panels!! Also, the use of black and white for the Unknown is just really neat and snazzy. And aww, thanks so much for the nice words!! You're such an amazing person, too, and I hope we get to team up again on something sometime! <3 I love your creativity and work and ideas, as well, and so it makes me really happy and honored that you enjoy my art and stuff, too. Thank you for making your Secret Santa gift so special for me! <33
So, I have a thing for Twillie ! \ o / First, have a warm fuzzy! You’re just a super cool person--really nice, welcoming, and fun to talk with (whether about forum RPs or about art or RL), and you’re also encouraging to others and help so many of us with inspiration in creative endeavors or even RL things. And creative endeavors-wise, y’know how people call a performer a triple threat if they can act, sing, and dance? You’re, like, a quadruple threat because you can write, draw, plan, and put everything together, and I am just constantly admiring all the creative things you do. Your enthusiasm and heart show through in so much of your work that it becomes infectious!
I’ve actually been many arcs behind in reading your Blossoms comics for a very long while, and I’ve been kind of ashamed about it. X'D But! When I got your name in this exchange, I was excited to finally get that incentive to kick my procrastination to the curb. And just as I knew it would be, catching up proper and reading your comics was a real treat! The way you’ve built up the characters and the conflicts feels fluid and suspenseful, and your worldbuilding is additionally so creative and intriguing. It was also great to see your progression over time in how you drew and set up the comics themselves, and overall, of course, your art is just *chef’s kiss*. I love it, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store! =DD
So here’s to you, Twillie! May you have a wonderful season, and may the coming year bring you lots of joy and success in everything you do. \ o / Now have a pencil drawing. It is extremely dumb and silly, and I had a grand ol’ time drawing it. I hope you like it! XD It’s a bunch of your characters in that Monopoly Draw the Squad meme! (Plus a few extra people, because it felt wrong to not include some characters just because the original meme didn’t have space. xD)

my secret-santee was dcathartiq ! first off, my lil creative thing: I was *inspired* by your mashups of lisha/jeran to ruby/yang, respectively, and I started thinking about adjacent Neopian characters that would make perfect sense as RWBY ones. I present to you: neo court dancer. i hope i managed to mash them up well xD But also, during this, I had to sketch a few RWBY characters to get a feel for who they were feasible with. very hard to find connections, at least with people in the meridell plots. but I guess hanso would make a good Sun, now that i think about it... though his color scheme fits with neptune. so sad! Initially, I'd wanted to do something with blake + weiss, to complete the rwby set! but i couldn't come up with characters that fit them AND have something to do with Jeran and Lisha. Though... as I'm writing this... HOLD ON I THINK I GOT SOMETHING THAT FIT IN YOUR UNIVERSE BRB TA-DA!!! My reasoning? since ruby is lisha, and jeran is yang... there is no choice but for sneaky ZDA to be blake in this scenario, considering the fact that you ship these two! Anyways! I hope you have very happy holidays! I like how versatile you are with art styles--you can do comic-y, mangaish sketches, to renaissance-ish styles, to more medieval compositions! It's always a pleasure talking to you as well; I especially enjoyed our conversations re: linguistics, and I thank you for all the interesting tidbits you taught me about mapudungun... it led me down a wikipedia binge for a solid week. You seem like a very hardworking and knowledgeable person for sure! sjkdjiwdwkjs AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I love these so much!! 😂 Neo!Court Dancer and Blake!ZDA fit so well I don't even omg, absolute Top 10 Anime Crossovers material This made my night, thanks so much for your sketches and your sweet greeting 💖 and of course I hope you have happy holidays as well!
Ok so, regarding my part, my secret santee is Liou ; I'm not 100% sure but it seems we haven't actually interacted before so far? or not frequently at least, so I didn't know what to do at first. However, I noticed their link in their signature and their neopets username, so I drew a portrait of their halloween Kougra since I liked her look :^) Liou, I hope you have happy holidays, and that 2021 brings you lots of luck and good vibes so you can keep writting as much as you've done so far! I also hope you keep drawing and developing your art skills as well, and if you ever need some advice don't be afraid to message me!

So my Secret Santa recipient was Thorn ! I’m sorry this took so long, but I hope this finds you well, and if not, I hope you will be well soon! And I hope what I bring will be well with you! I wrote you a drabble! It’s about Gale, and the sea, and a sea adventure he may or may not have had! A Brief ReprieveThe naval battle had been long and intense, but the Windblessed emerged successful, battered but resilient against the assault of the pirate vessels that had plagued the islands near Cai Shaan. The last pirate vessel was sinking beneath the waves as the crew of the Windblessed kept an eye on it, in case the pirates decided to foolishly try anything, all while tending to their own ship. Then…
“They surrendered,” said one of the crewmen.
Captain Gale ordered an armed crew over to take prisoners and check for hostages. Thankfully, the pirates had no interest in violent subterfuge, and the arrest went smoothly. Even so, the peace couldn’t last forever. Quartermaster Narialis came up and informed the captain that their own ship was in bad condition, and needed to be anchored so they could make repairs. Further, there were enough injuries on both sides to keep Surgeon Cordelia busy, leaving Gale to manage himself. Finally…
“You captured a centaur,” Gale said flatly to the pirate captain. “Yes.” “What was a centaur even doing out here on these islands?” “Wasn’t from the islands. They looked like they had family, and something valuable.” “And you thought holding a centaur hostage on a boat was a good idea?” “If you can capture a horse, you can capture a centaur. We left a way for their kind to get word back to us if they really wanted them back.”
The centaur—Hasel--was not happy to be on yet another boat. In fact, they weren’t happy with a lot of things. But they quickly accepted their rescue and willingly got onboard the Windblessed. Still, the centaur mainly stuck with Gale, listening in to the proceedings and dropping unwanted or melancholy input from time to time, in unfortunately fluent Common. Gale put up with it, mostly, if only because they were extremely busy with the proceedings, and in case it could help extract information about the centaur’s family so they could be returned properly. (“If they even want me back,” Hasel moped, between complaints about the food, the balance of the ship, and basically anything else going on.) Gale was half-tempted to put Hasel in a room of their own, if not for the fact that there was no way they could fit through the doorway without damaging it. They were stuck on deck with the captain.
There was a moment of calm as the crew finished rounding up and locking up the prisoners and dealing with the contraband, just in time for the pirate ship to sink beneath the waves. Gale couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief, knowing at least this matter was done, and as soon as their ship finished with its repairs, they could return to Cai Shaan and settle the matter.
“Wait, but my stuff.”
Gale creased his forehead, and slowly turned to look at Hasel “It’s probably with the others.”
“No, it’s not, I’ve been looking. It’s not here.” Hasel said confidently and morbidly.
“Well how important can it be?”
“Important enough for the pirates to want it,” Hasel said. “That’s probably the only reason they took me.”
Gale was forced to concede that Hasel was probably right about this. “Well, what’s in it?”
Hasel explained that while the object was too personal to describe, it was a mark of their high-ranking family, and an heirloom. One that just happened to be studded with rare gems. Hasel brushed over this fact to emphasize that it was more about how important this was to their family and community. Gale wasn’t entirely sure the true nature of this item. But whether it was Hasel being robbed of a priceless heirloom or their family losing something important to them, this item did unfortunately seem important enough to rescue.
Gale put a hand to his forehead. “The ship has sunk beneath the waves. You couldn’t have said something sooner?”
“Well, I just thought you would get it.” Hasel looked wistfully where the ship was. Then they blinked. “But I’ve seen some of the elves here. Some can go underwater indefinitely. I think some of your crew can too.”
Gale blinked. “You want us… to go diving down to get it?”
“Yeah, I mean, if it’s not too much trouble. I can’t really get it myself… You may have to be down there a while...”
Gale stared out at the wreckage. “You want us. To send a crew of us. To go diving down to get it. While repairs are being made?”
“Well, I mean, if it’s too much trouble-”
Gale was already calling for a few available sea elves to come with him, and as soon as he called them together and issued commands for his First Mate to take charge, he challenged himself to see just how far in one leap he could dive away from Hasel.
It was, as always, beautiful below. The sun shone through the ripples on the surface, lines of illumination dancing upon their skin, and the darkness of the depths below promising a rewarding reprieve from the commotions above. In that moment, he wished Marina were there with him, for while Gale thrived in the chaotic winds above while being able to hold underwater, he knew that where he was now was where she would flourish, taking to the seas and dancing to its currents as if it were a part of her.
He knew there was always a reason he loved the ocean.
He dived deeper, heading for the ship and paying heed for predators or sea elf pirates. Finding neither of the latter, he acknowledged what was around him; the gradient of the colors of the water as they went deeper, the fish who knew to keep their distance as he glanced at them, and those that were more daring and playfully weaved close to the group. A sea turtle that followed them for a short time, keeping a healthy distance away but just close enough to ride the currents that came from their descent, before they got bored and darted away through a hole in the sea foliage.
Sea foliage. Gale looked down and saw that indeed, they were close to the sea floor. Fortunately, this sea bed was not too deep, being close to the islands. And indeed, nestled freshly within the sands below was the sunken pirate ship. It seemed to have settled enough that some fish and creatures of the sea floor risked getting a little closer, though it was far too soon for the ship to serve as a new home to the aquatic inhabitants before rotting into nothing.
Gale couldn’t help but grimace at the thought of the ship rotting, even a pirate ship. Of course it happened plenty of times in his career; it had to as part of his job. It was just a shame to waste a vessel. If it were one sturdy as his… He contented himself with the fact that the ship was not so well equipped, and that truly strong vessels such as the Windblessed would still sail another day and fare far better.
Gale and his select crew swam closer to the sunken ship, staying wary of any unstable parts that could threaten to come loose upon them. They noticed that the bottom of the ship had cracked from damage during the fight and from the subsequent fall to the sea floor below. It exposed the belly of the ship, and they dived inside to find themselves in a storage compartment. Several of its contents had already been removed to be placed onto the Windblessed, while others were deemed unimportant. Hasel had explained that their satchel had been placed in one of the crates, and marked in red with a very poor stick figure drawing of a horse.
Which meant they would probably spend some time searching as several crates had very bad art drawn upon them and not all of them looked likely to survive. But everything was proceeding as planned and going well, and so they would investigate as planned despite the anticipated trouble.
As nice of a reprieve this was, eventually one of the sea elves waved the others over to what indeed looked like a half-faded art of a stick figure horse, marked and (thankfully) etched into a crate. Their own crew must’ve passed over it, having dismissed it as something unimportant. The select members of the Windblessed grabbed a bar and pried open the contents of the crate, and they were quickly able to grab the satchel.
They knew that the contents of the satchel wouldn’t be ruined by water, but they weren’t intent on testing that long-term. Besides, Gale still had a job to do. The group began to swim to the surface and they saw many of the same sights along the way, albeit they were visited by different creatures. It always amazed him the diversity of the aquatic life here, all that was below and riding through the deeper or same currents that carried his boat.
They made it to the surface. Gale took a breath, reorienting himself with the sea air that he knew well. As beautiful as a journey it was below, he instantly felt more at home above, with the wind flowing through his air and resonating with his being, and the sturdy Windblessed standing strong and looking better than before, waiting to take him to his next horizon. He and his select crewmates swam back and boarded themselves once again upon the ship that may as well be home to Gale, and he was content upon a job well done and journeyed.
“You have my satchel,” Hasel said.
Gale just shoved the satchel into Hasel’s hands and walked on deck to re-take command and ask for repair times. Hasel continued on being Hasel, but for Gale, the concern wasn’t so much. He was back on his ship, everything was getting back in order, he felt the comforting presence of the sea and now felt the familiar oceanic breeze in his hair and over his skin. It didn’t matter what came up. So long as he could be where he belonged. Words!Have a Gale fic! I don’t know how IC it is or how accurate some details are (particularly details about the Windblessed), but I wanted to play to what he liked, as well as hopefully explore some of what may be comforting! (It really helps that he can hold his breath indefinitely!) I may have played more to the love of the sea than the love of the sea air, which I suppose is where my biases show through. Anyway, up to you how canon or not it is! (It can always be someone’s fanfic!) Just a fun little adventure he may have had.
(I understand that there may be points of “oof,” particularly regarding the Windblessed. The way I see it is, even if there was a tragic end, it doesn’t remove the good times he had and the memories he made with his ship. His time on the Windblessed had a very positive effect on his life, and even if he can’t anymore, even if he may grieve it now, that positive effect is still with him, for it formed the basis of many feelings and may memories of adventures that helped his personal development and journey. (And positive effects towards the city for protecting Cai Shaan’s fleet. That too. Plus, the way the Windblessed went out was a very A+ way to go out.) So I figure, there are still good memories to be had there, and I hope he can still find joy in them, once he’s given himself some time.)
What inspired me to make this was the fascinations of the sea, and how they relate to your home! I’ve never been, I’ll admit, but I’ve swam in warmer waters before with diverse sealife, and stuff like this is one of my fascinations! There’s beauty in a lot of places, and where you live definitely seems to be one of them, either by land, or by sea. And so hopefully I pulled off a familiar or at least comforting touch!
Euroatlantis is a really fun time! You’ve spent so long helping me develop Amani’s arc and it’s been pivotal. And as well, there is so much amazing worldbuilding! You’ve put a lot of thought into these places and races and cultures and it really shines! I’m really excited to see what else you have in store! Thank you so much for putting this together for all of us, and making everything and every character thing weave as well as you do! I understand it's a lot of work and I really do appreciate it.
In addition, your enthusiasm for things and content others create is really inspiring! The enthusiasm and the comments you leave on them I think are really encouraging, and they’re always nice to see! I think it’s also really nice the acknowledging and encouraging words you leave for others, be it in their diaries or from casual chatter. Sometimes it can really help to make a day or lighten a bad day, as it has done to me before. It really does mean a lot to me, and I think those are really good to give to people.
Thank you for being there to help bring unique things and experiences to the table, help organize things, help work out story things, and for the kind words that you give! They are valuable, and it’s good to read them and add them to our lives.

AHHH oh my goodness this is fabulous Gelquie, thank-you so much. <3 And it's Christmas Day for me here so like...absolutely most perfectest timing for a nice gift! And Gale! I wasn't expecting an NPC, and I've always had a soft spot for Gale. Such a lovely surprise, and you clearly put so much work and heart into it! I am so happy you caught the connectedness between his love of the sea and his love of Marina!
The eventual loss of the Windblessed did indeed break Gale's heart...but we also know he gets another ship which he is very excited for, so it's alright in the end! And I am sure he will be able to reflect on the good times they had on the Windblessed, with time. It's so cool to see Gale here, in his element- something we've never really seen in-game, in between ARGHHH SQUID??? and his Identity Crises, haha. I can totally see this being one of his pirate-related adventures in the past...and yeah, he would indeed be none too impressed with Hasel, that was spot-on. xD
Got a bit emotional at your lovely comments about the effect the Windblessed had on his life. ;-; And the connection to my home: I'm not the sort to go diving, but the sea has always been an important part of my life, and that definitely resonates here. <3 I feel really weird when I'm away from the coast for too long, as I imagine Gale would too!
...and then the personal comments were just so lovely, oh my gosh Gelquie, thank-you so much. <3 I'm so glad you enjoy EuroAtlantis, the enjoyment of the players is the reason to do. Any of this! And I'm glad I've been able to brighten your day in past. Thank-you for the excellent storygift, the kind words, and for being my friend. Reading this has been a perfect way to close off Christmas Day!

dcathartiq Aaah thank you this is so pretty! I love spooky things - especially at this time of year!! The Halloween Kougra has been one of my favourite paint brush colours for a long time, and this Kougra's aesthetic reminds me of Vira, like they could be goth girlfriends! ... also how did I not remember I actually had a Halloween Koug on my account wow okay well spotted xD I also like how the wings make a heart shape which is even gother. Great vibes to you too! =D And thanks for the offer, it'd be really cool to talk to someone more experienced if I need to level up some day!
Speaking of which- my gift was going to be art. Shall I draw you an Alyx being sneaky sneky sneak?
Oh wait, shall I draw you a Kiki Animal Crossing from Animal Crossing? But wait, I kinda just want to make you a cake! Shall I do that? Urgh, decisions! Alyx, Kiki! Get over here! I'm sending you two on a SECRET CAKE MISSION. I hope this will do for the time being. One day I will make you something with Extra Sparkle. ;u; <3 Ginz, it's so good to have you around here! Even in such a year, you manage to be a cinnamon roll, bringing us your wonderful comforting kindness, and reminding us that it's also okay not to be okay sometimes. You sound like you are in a wonderful relationship and I am so happy for you, you have a wonderful heart and I hope all your relationships will keep blooming around you over the next year. Catching you online is always a treat, I love the sheer variety of your interests and your culture, which pop up even without you flaunting them. You've just got excellent tastes in general *chef's kiss*, and you come up with fantastic character designs and I can't wait to see more of them. I wish you many museums and many books, but especially many museums, and much legally obtained cake. You take care of yourself too, and we always have hugs for you. Like here: *HUGGLES!!!*

Thorn First of all, I am very sorry for not replying to you earlier. I wanted to give my full feedback when I listened to it in full, but listening to things is hard for me in the best of times. Let alone my own writing, becuause I always have an irrational feeling of embarrassment that someone is reading my garbage. But aaaah, your voice is so good, so soothing, and so lovely. ;_; I am really flattered that you loved this fic enough to put all this time and effort into reading it out, especially the one that you practised. However, even the bonus, despite being less polished for obvious reasons, is so good and perfectly captures that scene. Your script and your notes show just how much thought you put into this and I am in awe. But listening to it, it brings out all the emotions of the piece, especially the dialogue. The voices you chose for each character, especially ones you never voiced before, were super. You say in D&D you can't do voices, and yet, here you are. Meallan's, you definitely captured, to the point where he sounds more like how I imagine his voice than I can do it. Aquillian is also amazing. Truth be told, I did not know exactly what sort of voice he had, so what you chose is perfect. He sounds cautious, as he should be, but also friendly and kindly. I can hear some Solstri in it, but it lacks her usual extreme confidence/borderline cockiness, which is what sets her apart for me. And of course, I am in love with your Malka-voice, hnng. <3 So smooth, so sweet, so seductive, and with just a hint of the the underlying danger. Perfect puppetmaster voice. I'd be curious why, of all things, you decided to do this as a recording. What comes to mind is memories of dramatic post and fic readings we did in Ireland way back in the day, which you mentioned in your fuzzy. Is that something you thought of because of that or some other reason? <3 Either way, thank you for being a good friend. Even though you're no longer close by, the memories of your time in the UK when we met up are still fresh and warm. I am glad I got to meet you and we became friends. I love talking to you about life or D&D or other nerd stuff. And of course, you are The Best DM. I am so happy to play D&D with you and have you dealing with my idiot disaster son. xD

Nobody has ever said that to me before (although I always say it about my charries and other people) ahhh, thanks so much Celes! I really tried here, and actually enjoy doing voices in other games, I just...do inflections more than accents/full voices, I suppose. xD I am also glad you liked Aquilian and Malka! Aquilian I wasn't sure about going into the recording, except that I needed his voice to be higher than Meallan's to quickly and easily distinguish, and then the rest came from there. Malka I have voiced before, but since then you've told me you imagine her voice to be quite high, so I pitched it up a little more this time. I'm so glad I got to meet you as well! I think we can thank the Estonia trip for that, and then we met again in Scotland; did some roleplays together, met in Dublin...was all very nice! You are such an amazing person, and I often think about and miss our fun holidays with Frunty, Thundy and /or Liou! But that makes the idea of Next Time, no matter how eventual, all the more exciting.

GelquieI'm very sorry for making you wait, your gift has arrived, though terribly late! I don't have an excuse, I missed the date, Procrastination is not a good trait! I crafted this poem to compensate For the delay you had to tolerate. However, my writing is not too great, You deserve better, my wonderful mate! Anyway, without further ado, here is your present, from me to you! I decided to draw the beautiful Amani basking in the moonlight. I hope you like it! <3 And here's part 2: Dear Gelquie: Happy holidays! I hope you've had a nice holiday season. I know life hasn't been the kindest lately, and there's that added layer of the world not being as inclusive as it should be, but you are wonderful as you are. <3 I admire the way you always get up and keep going no matter what, because that's not easy. You are strong and persistent, and I'm always rooting for you. I was excited to get you as my giftee because you're awesome! You're full of creativity and intelligence. You're very good at analyzing things in depth and being insightful. You also create awesome characters! I wanted to draw Amani because they're so cool and interesting. Their character design is beautiful, and reading about them makes me want to know more about them too.
Thank you for the fun times we've shared this year. One of the highlights for me has been playing Among Us together, whether we're playing the regular game or hide-and-seek. Ginz ❤ - Eee, thank you so much! <3 And for the lovely poem; I enjoyed that as well, along with everything else! Also, eee, that Amani! I love it! You captured both them in all their wondrous glory, and their peace and and joy in the moment perfectly! They look so relaxed. <3 Amani says that they appreciate it too! I also love the blue and silver background motif to it; it really helps it shine. I'm also glad you find them interesting, and that you like my characters. <3 And thank you for the note and the nice words. Life has indeed not been the kindest lately, but notes like these help a lot, and helps me feel better and get a better perspective of myself. I'm glad I've been a generally good presence. <3 And I've enjoyed interacting with you a lot too, be it talking or commentary or playing online games or just having you around; you're a good positive presence for me too. And your Tumblr posts have been very good for me; I always enjoy seeing them. Thank you for your friendship and presence as well. May you have all the best. <33 I'm doing a lot of <3 emojis because that's basically what I'm feeling in response to this. xD Basically, thank you so much!

Liou - LIOOOOOUUUUU!! <33 I'm sorry it took me so long to react and reply to your present! I've been kind of low on spoons this holiday season, and it felt wrong to me to post here until I had my own gift ready. But either way, ahhhhhh, I absolutely LOVED the SECRET CAKE MISSION! It's such a fun and creative idea, and honestly a crossover I doubt I would have thought of myself, but it's PERFECT! I love how fancy and pink the cake is, and is that a heart on top? <3 I love how Alyx is using her cape to hide and protect Kiki and the cake. WHOOSH! Stealthy! She looks very focused on the mission, and Kiki's expression is so cute! Thank you so much for gathering some of my favorite things in one picture! You put so much detail into everything, and the result is beautiful! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! As for your fuzzy, awww, thank you so much for the lovely message, you are the sweetest! <3 Liou hugs are a lovely treat and I WILL TAKE THEM! *huggles back* Thank you for all the good wishes and the love, it truly means a lot to me. Thank you for brightening my day! 💖

Apologies for this being super late, but Lizica oh my goodness thank you for the amazing gifts!!! I never quite know how to respond to compliments, but your words mean a lot, and they're something I can go to whenever I need a boost <3 And aw, there's no need to feel bad! I don't expect people to constantly keep up with my comics, they're there to read or not read at your choosing :3 That's really sweet you took the time to read them all though! I really appreciate that and your feedback, thank you =D Your drawing, oh my gosh xDDD I admittedly hadn't heard of that Monopoly squad template, so when I first saw your drawing I figured you added a lot more to the composition to make all the characters work together. When I went to look it up, though, nope turns out it's basically exactly the template with a couple extra characters, which kind of freaked me out how perfectly every character here fit into the meme xDD Like, some of them are so on the nose, I can't get over it, like Twillie laying on the game board and the Queen literally being in jail xD It also makes sense that Kasai and Sei would be the ones crying in the corner, and Zathandria would absolutely relish in everyone else's chaos like some sports announcer xD There's something going on in every corner of this piece, and it's all so perfect. I love this so much, to the point that I have it saved to my phone so I can just admire it now and then xD Thank you so much!!!
