Okay I'm SO CLOSE to finishing with mine! But since there haven't been any reminders posted, figured I would say something here in case anybody forgot this is due tomorrow-ish. xP

Mine may be a bit delayed too. Sorry about that! I'll get to it ASAP.
In case I'm one of the late giftees, I'll just state for the record that I'm okay with that.

Yeah, I also don't mind if mine is late. I know this year has been a weird and stressful one!

I'm planning on finishing mine by tonight or tomorrow, but yeah if my gifter finishes theirs later than expected, I'm totally fine with that! Don't want any extra stress on anyone, so take the time you need as I appreciate the gift either way :3

Echoing everyone else, but same! It's been a crazy time of late, and December especially, so to my secret Santa, please don't feel the need to stress over my gift whatsoever, and just do what you're comfortable with on your own time. I know it'll be lovely, but take care out there. <33

Hello, fellow Secret Santa-ers! My giftee is June Scarlet so June, here's what I have for you. I read your Ink comics for inspiration, so. Hope you like what I wrote. "Bwahaha! No wait, ah ha ha ha...no, that doesn't sound right."
The young Kyrii cleared his throat and looked expectantly at the Gelert beside him. In his hands he clutched a yellow Kacheek plushie adorned with brown yarn for hair. "What do you think, Ron?" He frowned. "It feels like something is missing from my evil laugh. It just doesn't sound evil enough." Instead of laughing again, he just chuckled sheepishly.
Ronjono frowned in thought. "Maybe...maybe you have to mean it? What were you going to do with that Kacheek in your clutches, anyway?"
"I was going more for...a hostage situation? Like the Professor of Pain from Defenders of Neopia, Issue 45." Mathew freed one hand to stroke his chin, then adopted his pretend villain voice again. "If Brightvale University doesn't fund my project, then this Kacheek will be my lackey, forever and ever! Mwahahahahaha!" He paused. "Getting there."
"What kind of project is it?"
Mathew opened his mouth and raised a finger, before closing his mouth again and sighing. "I got nothing. A scary death ray that'll destroy Neopia Central?" The Kyrii took a deep breath and launched into another spiel. "If I don't get the money for my Ray of Ultimate Doom, I won't release Mr. Kacheekson! Mwahahahahahaha! Hey, I think I got it!"
Ron nodded with approval, smiling. "Do it one more time, then I'm going to try and stop you."
"You got it!"
* * *
"Hey, Matt. You're here again?" Ronjono looked up from where she was ladling minestrone soup into several bowls at the Soup Kitchen, a bit surprised to see a familiar face once more.
"Yeah. I got the volunteer gig I was telling you about, at Brightvale University." Mathew grinned proudly. "I'm under probation, of course, but it's something. If it goes well, I could get a recommendation."
The Gelert smiled as she passed two bowls to two waiting Chias. "That's great. You're on your way to working with the Defenders."
"I sure hope so." Glancing over his shoulder, he stepped aside to allow more poor Neopians to approach Ronjono's table. Then he suddenly pronounced, "Watch out, Brightvale University! Doctor Mathew Cavus is coming for you! Mwahahahaaha!"
Everyone stared at him in various degrees of confusion and surprise. But when they noticed that he was otherwise harmless, the line continued. Ronjono raised her eyebrows.
"What was that for?"
"Remember when we were kids and I was trying to make the perfect evil laugh? I had a plot against BVU then, right? And you stopped me."
It took her a moment but she nodded. "Yeah, I remember that."
"And it took me a while to get the evil laugh."
"I remember that too."
"Well...just now, when I laughed, it felt good. It's not an evil laugh, though." Mathew chuckled. "But it's nice, all the same."
"Honestly, that suited you more than an evil laugh, Matt." And finally, the greeting. I'm a bit embarrassed to listen to my own voice on a recording, haha. Voice 002.m4a (263.51 KB) EDIT: To whoever is my Secret Santa, don't worry about being late. I understand that A Lot of Things are happening lately.

(Okay it is SUPER relieving not to be the only possibly-late - hello hi I have been spending my entire days at work and my entire evenings coping with unusable computer, will probably spend all of tonight reinstalling software, and I'm only having days off on Friday and Saturday, sorry for the wait, please, thank you)

I'll post my gift tonight, when I have a bit more time to really focus on it and I'm not about to leave for work.
In the meanwhile, Thank you so much Kat! Reading my Ink comics alone is quite the undertaking, as there's a lot of them by now. And it's fun to see a little extended epilogue for them too. And thank you for your kind words as well.

Hey, what do you know, I actually did finish something right on time. It was thankfully not as complicated as I thought. My Secret Santee was Kat. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to draw, and because of time constraints, I wanted something reasonably easy which I was confident in drawing and did not have to secretly try to scrouge references for. So, behold, old man Philippine Eagle. =D I hope you enjoy it, Kat. <3 The philippine eagle is one of my favourite birds of all time, and you are a very lucky person to share a country with such a magnificent bird. I, meanwhile, consider myself very lucky to know you. Your passion for your culture shows, and I love how eager you are to share it with everyone. I have learned so much from you over the time we've been talking, and I consider it an honour. You are a very eloquent, educated, amazing person with a lot of smarts and plenty of talent. That shows in everything, from your writing down to the conversations you engage in. Anybody who does not recognise that is a fool. Part of the art was also inspired by your stories of your grandpa. He kicks butt, and I am in awe of him. I aspire to be like him someday. And I look forward to chatting with you more and learning more about Pinoy culture. Please keep being amazing. <3

Celestial I LOVE HIM. I LOVE OLD MAN PHILIPPINE EAGLE. The details in his plumage, his little cup, ohhhh man he's gorgeous. I'm so happy, and thanks so much for your kind words. I feel incredibly honored to have gotten to know you years ago and to have gotten to talk to you again and I am glad that you and other folks enjoy it when I ramble about Philippine stuff. <3 (I can't blame you for liking the Philippine Eagle, it's a majestic bird all around.) (And yes, my grandpa kicks butt. Update: He's still going strong.)

my secret-santee was dcathartiq! first off, my lil creative thing: I was *inspired* by your mashups of lisha/jeran to ruby/yang, respectively, and I started thinking about adjacent Neopian characters that would make perfect sense as RWBY ones. I present to you: neo court dancer. i hope i managed to mash them up well xD But also, during this, I had to sketch a few RWBY characters to get a feel for who they were feasible with. very hard to find connections, at least with people in the meridell plots. but I guess hanso would make a good Sun, now that i think about it... though his color scheme fits with neptune. so sad! Initially, I'd wanted to do something with blake + weiss, to complete the rwby set! but i couldn't come up with characters that fit them AND have something to do with Jeran and Lisha. Though... as I'm writing this... HOLD ON I THINK I GOT SOMETHING THAT FIT IN YOUR UNIVERSE BRB TA-DA!!! My reasoning? since ruby is lisha, and jeran is yang... there is no choice but for sneaky ZDA to be blake in this scenario, considering the fact that you ship these two! Anyways! I hope you have very happy holidays! I like how versatile you are with art styles--you can do comic-y, mangaish sketches, to renaissance-ish styles, to more medieval compositions! It's always a pleasure talking to you as well; I especially enjoyed our conversations re: linguistics, and I thank you for all the interesting tidbits you taught me about mapudungun... it led me down a wikipedia binge for a solid week. You seem like a very hardworking and knowledgeable person for sure!

My secret santa is for Celestial ! Celes has been a player in one of the most wonderful D&D groups (#notbiased) for two years now, and is such a wonderful writer and roleplayer that I knew I wanted to...well, do this thing! To capture some of the story of Celes' ridiculous firbolg man. </3 (...also because I am extremely weak for his friendship with Aquilian.) Seekrit Links!! Main Gift Fun Bonus (not rehearsed or edited. At all.) (should be noted: these are set to private, nobody without these links will be able to find them.) Note on Gift/WarmFuzzyThing combined:This fic is a big one for Meallan (and possibly my fave piece you've ever written for him), plus it includes both Malka and Aquilian, so I wanted to do something with that. I have provided the script/story as well so you can see the notes I left myself, and how I chose to arrange or cut material. Ultimately the Meallan and Aquilian section was the one I focussed on, but I also recorded Meallka for funsies. xP
I wasn't confident in Meallan's accent, so went for low and smooth since he has a good singing voice and a general rhythm to his speech. Aquilian has a similar intonation to what I use for Solstri and Merethi (well, the faux-English edge of Solstri with the more clipped manner of speaking I was supposed to use for Merethi, but in reality only did intermittently. xD)
Hope you enjoy this. <3 Sound goes a bit wonky in places (Moni gave me Good Advicewords when I was struggling with Audacity), but I'm pretty happy with it overall. You've been an amazing friend to me, whether chatting about dee en dee or comforting about Badstuff, and I feel so lucky to have you in my life. I have such good memories of hanging out on the hill in Edinburgh, at the coast in St Andrews, and of an epic walk along the coast where we got Awesome Chocolates!! And, of course, watching silly movies and recording snippets from roleplays in a hostel in Dublin. xP Good times!

I made this for LizicaAbout the gift: I looked all over Lizica's art thread, though I've been through the whole thing before, to take inspiration. She has so much good stuff there, including a lot of parodies and crossovers.
I've done the whole, "Draw someone's character in my style," thing before, including for Lizica. And I wanted to do something different, something special. And then I somehow stumbled on the idea of pairing Into the Unknown from Frozen II with Hannah from Wrighton. I barely had to change any of the lyrics.
I also decided it was okay to make it sketchy since it was so long. So very very long. Also wanted to do that because I know Lizica uses pencil a lot. Even though it's digital art, I wanted that pencil feel. Note for Lizica: Lizica, you are such an amazing person. I really enjoy it when we get the chance to team up, and I hope it gets to happen more in the future. I had the privilege to go through your art thread again recently, and there's so much creativity stuffed into there, it's amazing. I'm intrigued by your original works as well, though I only get glimpses of it, such as a single illustration, or your theme week profile. But even with roleplays and fanworks, you take it and make it your own, you really leave your mark on what you do. And it's an amazing mark to have.
I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

This one is for Moni ! It's everyone's favorite siblings, done in a style inspired by official site art sketches. I thought it might have an extra feeling of special were it to look like it came from the site, because I don't think there's such a thing as too much official art of these two. Moni, it's always a treat seeing you here on the forum and its extended platforms. I see you as an invaluable part of this community, as you always give your authentic self in both casual and formal discussion. You're extremely intelligent with knowledge across a wide range of topics, making your perspective both interesting and informative. I feel like I always can learn something new from you. It also inspires me to continue learning on my own time as well, especially with subjects that I may not have considered researching otherwise. I strive to be someone with well rounded opinions and an awareness of the world around me, and while I think I'm far from describing myself from that, you're someone who honestly keeps me pushing in that direction. Knowing you has helped me work to being a better person :3 I love how, even if it may not always be the popular one, you're not shy to give your opinion on something. I think that's something that can be hard to find that these days (at least, wherein it's given in a civil way), but it's sharing opposing opinions that makes conversation so much more interesting and brings new ideas to the table. It's something we need, so I always appreciate when you feel open enough to share your unique thoughts to a discussion. You're also someone who clearly cares for those around you. You give compliments on other people's artwork and writing, give encouragement when someone else may need it, and have put in effort time and again to help spread positivity between forumers. You're a creative individual with a variety of talents, writing and art just being a couple. I always look forward to when you post one of your works, as it's really neat seeing how you experiment with technique and what kind of subject matter is on your mind at the moment. Sometimes it's OCs, sometimes it's real life studies, and they may be done in sketches, full linework, maybe photorealistic coloring. It's neat the variety of stuff you create and put out, as well as seeing the process behind it all. Overall, I'm very glad to know you Moni, and I hope you can feel at home with us as well. I wish you the best this season and into the new year, and I hope you like your gift!
