Opened up Duolingo for the first time in ages. Loving the new setup!
Disappointed they never added Maori after all, but back to Italian for now.

Decided to learn Māori anyway. With or without Duo!
I am taking my first baby steps and joined a discord server for Māori learners, while I work through workbooks and watch children's cartoons. xD Someone prompted me to introduce myself and I don't even have a toddler's vocabulary and I am TERRIFIED, but baby steps, and people are being really kind.

Duolingo-adjacent so I'll share it here: end of week two, scribbling extra practice into my workbook (talking about how many games I want, how many plants I can see on my balcony, other random stuff.) That last one is because you can win a private screening for 20 people of the new D&D film...my group went hard out to try and win that screening and the winner is drawn today I'm so nervous ahhhh. (I already see a mistake, should have been a maku after pene ah well.) |
