I profited by ~18K today


Tomorrow's odds are pretty good! Here's what I put on my petpage:



This set has an initial investment of 50K. Minimum profit is ~3K, max possible ~53K, most likely ~21K.

For my actual bets this week though, I am following Phoenix's high-risk bets in an attempt at a Food Club trophy. Wish me luck, rofl. I fully expect to lose all the NPs I put in this week.

On the bright side, I RSed an Ultra Nova Pop 4 days ago and managed to sell it for full price today (4 million), so I feel okay about throwing nps down the drain in this probably-unwise trophy attempt :'D

Good luck, Stephanie! I was thinking of gunning for a Food Club trophy myself but I might have to hold off while my bank account is still in recovery mode. Maybe during another month.

Maybe you could aim for a trophy in July! Your account is old enough that putting max nps into Garet's bets for a week might get you there

Yeah, that was what I was planning on doing - putting max NPs into my bets for a straight week. But I would have to be able to set aside the NPs for that.

Plus, I'd have to be willing to let my winnings sit for a week and accumulate...right now I would rather grab them and run.

So... this happened today. XD;



I'm so happy rofl. The last time I tried following Phoenix, I was busting constantly for like 2-3 weeks. There were occasional 16:10 wins that weren't enough to make up for the losses. I'm glad I finally was able to experience one of his fabled big wins :'D



The safe bets I posted yesterday would have profited by 36400 NP at a return of 1.7, which isn't shabby.

Here's how I would play the next round if I weren't following Phoe this week:

Wow, congratulations, Stephanie (swordlilly)! It'll be a while before I can go big again, but so long as I can make a little progress, I'm good. I might have to start budgeting the amount of money I should set aside for a trophy run.

Phoenix lost today ;n; But my regular set didn't fare much better haha, would've only profited by 400np.

Next round's opening odds are bad. Garet is saying on his page that skipping or going super-risky for the lolz are both valid options.

With the updated odds, I did manage to figure out a guaranteed-profit set, but the highest potential profit is only ~14K lol.



After the trophy run I'll think about if I want to keep following Phoenix for the long term. He posted some really interesting info on the boards today:



If I do decide to close my safe-bets page, I'll convert it into a guide to teach the guaranteed-profit strategy to people who cannot afford to keep betting through a losing streak.

Managed to profit using Garet's bets (although I nixed one for one of your safeties, Stephanie (swordlilly)). Not a big profit but I can still call it a profit. Hmmm, I'm not sure if I want to go big for the lulz today or if I'll just skip because I could probably unload some NP for goofy betting.

Phoenix busted again today lol. But he did say his bets have a 60% bust rate overall so I am not surprised. xP The long-term ratio is really good though. 1.9, that means an average per day of 19 times the amount you put in (profit of 9 units).


The safe bets I posted yesterday would've profited by 3592 NP.

Ouch, I'm so sorry, Stephanie. At least Phoenix labels his bets with a warning. I really might just use Garet's bets for a trophy run.

Didn't bet yesterday so I think I can drop more NP today.

EDIT: Dropped my bets. I swapped out two of Garet's bets for a couple of safeties on the Lagoon in case upsets Happen. If they do and one of my safeties pulls through, I can profit by 30K.

Phoenix busted again. *sigh* Kind of wish I had switched to doing my own bets after that 180:10 win, lol, but there was no way to predict what was going to happen. I'm still holding on to 180:50 in the hopes of getting another big win sometime in the next 3 days. If that happens, I will solidly be in trophy range.

Investment for this set is 50K, minimum profit 700np, max possible 131K, most likely ~21K (return of 1.4).

Phoenix's bets for today have a TER of 2.4. (I know what that means now! It will be explained in the article I collaborated on with him. :3 Hopefully the editor chooses it for publication.)
