I'm still just following Aerois XD Up to date. Stuff is happening. Can't talk about it XD I mean, fair. xD I am so bad at keeping up with stuff...and each episode is over three hours...so I probably won't catch back up again for a while yet! Whereas Nights of Eveningstar has episodes a nice easy two hours in length, and only goes for twelve weeks, so I think I can manage it (especially since it goes live at 11am on a day I don't often work!) I download them on Spotify and listen to them while at work (usually Monday or Friday, the quieter days where I can pay attention). So I can usually get through a whole episode or two depending what I have to listen to.

I should get back to following this now that I have Cool Wireless Headphones...I may have to pick up from an arc nearer to the current episodes, we'll see. But there's so much cool stuff I wanna learn more about! The dragons! I'm loved them and I stopped watching not long after the party fought the giants and then left dragonland. Also, I hear there is a cool gorgon lady. And Graz'zt, my fave demon lord! Maybe I can motivate myself better by arranging a binging session with my friendo to watch some of it like I did with Escape the Bloodkeep, too.

From the point you're at until now, they hit you with major thing after major thing. Gorgon lady is wonderful. She's a great character XD Plus some of the others introduced with her are great to.
I usually wait until Friday and listen to the episode (split in 2 on Spotify) while at work. Sadly I have no one to talk to about current events XD Though I can say I called something a long time ago and it came true. So yay me.

Yeah, turned out I was at the start of a new arc anyway, so no real need to skip. But I don't think missing stuff is necessarily a 'bad idea'- you can always read recaps! Although I've decided not to do that in this case. I think I'll just use this as my walking to-and-from work podcast for now, which will let me get through an episode each shift. Episode 56:My friend told me about the lovely trans goliath lady! Cool to finally encounter her, loved the cute convo about her dress, and how they played up the 'princess' thing with a throne and everything. xD I also love how Mark is just like 'you've heard of this sort of magic, elves use it all the time.' Very sweet. <3
I had Feelings when Trott described Lucius as 'so close to burning out.' Poor chromatic boi has been through a lot!
The way skill checks are handled as they make their way through Solwynn is neat!!! I may steal it for my own games some time haha.

Weather is Bad today, so I'm hiding in my room listening to episode 57:Maximilian and Dannar (sp?) are SO COOL ARGH. Also, they broke the One Steve Limit! =O There was a shopkeeper near the beginning called Maximilian too.
Rama is being oddly quiet...hmmmMMMMMM...
brookstone I betcha!!!
EDIT: near the end of the episode and awww Rook! I don't even know the character, but because of the connection to Sentry I'm all emochunal!
Episode 58:Herald is amazing! I love her discussion with Sentry, and then the resulting tension with Lucius. It was really emotional, and really good.
...and we got to see our gal Vala again! And Max is good to her! That is all I needed to know, that is Perfection. <3
Am excited by the prospect of Sentry Prime! I think Sentry is becoming my very favourite PC, she is just so good and noble. Episode 59:I love the Aerois combat music so much ahhhh. The tension as the Starbane skiff approached them was amazing!
I also love Johann soso much. To the point that I walked past a friend who said hi and I didn't even see her, I was so absorbed in listening to his interactions with the party! xD
And it's really cool to hear Mark's new exp system too. Love the emphasis on social encounters with the 'developed a new or stronger relationship with significant NPC' bit! Episode 60 (writing while working on Christmas cards!)They put their prisoner in the PANTRY? I can't deal with this. xD He was killed with a dream spell...called it!! Also, I have so many feelings about Sentry lately. ;-; She's quickly becoming my fave. And learning that the princess she was trying to protect, and the people she loved, didn't die when Solwyn was flooded? Gave me so many feelings. I'm so happy she gets to know that, and maybe eventually find out where they went from there!

Starting a new post because this episode...this episode...really deserves it! Aerois Episode 62: Trial of the Prime The first trial was so exciting to listen to, but I had my reservations about how it worked from a DM/player perspective. The only character whose decisions mattered was Sentry- and yeah, the trial was for her, but even so it sucks as a player when you're in a session and feel like nothing you do matters at all.
Then the final part of the trial happened, with Hadarbane and...oh my gosh, right, the moment Lucius' eyes turned black and smoking and he could see nothing besides his undead family reaching out for him and saying it was his fault they died...
I was like OH RIGHT, this part is testing ALL of them!!!
And it's actually so cool. The futility of fighting Hadarbane. The way each of them is being forced to confront their worst fears. The line "how do you know I haven't corrupted your precious Prime?" when they try to reassure themselves Hadarbane isn't really.
The players starting to doubt this will all be reversible (especially Katie with Aila's severely nuked stats), even though it is obvious to a listener, with the lack of saves against averse effects and whatnot. Amazing.
This is definitely one of the most enjoyable episodes of this show so far!

Yeah all those episodes were really awesome. I like it when Raves gets to guest play in the games. He has a fun character.
The Prime trials really were intense XD
And yeah, Sentry has become a really fun character. She was just a sort of ok character to me for a long time until around the Harold and later Prime stuff.
The exp system stuff is cool. Later they stop announcing how it all works sadly and go back to just, "Ok they all leveled" Or you start a episode and "Yeah, they levleled last session" I actually like hearing about how they got bonus points and stuff.

I like hearing how it all works too- really interesting to see how other DMs do stuff! I do 'milestone' levelling for EuroAtlantis (effectively it's just me going 'yeah something significant happened, I'll level them now'), but with my irl Trash Squad group I use EXP, so it's cool to see how others do it. 'Achieved a major personal goal' is a cool one, which I think my DM uses in the game I'm a player in. I'm listening to 'Rock and Gnoll' right now.

Episode 94 The Tempest Dragon
Took forever to get to this point. And it was a pretty awesome fight.
One thing though. I think the DM might have been playing Genshin Impact. There were several things in it that screamed elements from that game XD A few changes sure, but it was pretty similar at parts.

Episode 67, part one:
I felt so bad for their gnoll prisoner. =( But at least they get to Live!!!
The fight in the vineyard was very intense and exciting, and I'm keen to see how they deal with the winery and Baraz in part two...

Episode 70: Thalia is AMAZING. my new wife.
Loving all this cool space port stuff- I'm a star wars nerd at heart and a big wide world of wonderful critters really appeals.
