I love the crew so, so much. Was so excited about Lookout the guardian- a second nonbinary character, and one who looks to have a larger role than the last! I was painting a miniature at the time and nearly smeared silver paint across the freshly painted green, aha. The aasimar in that group was so adorable, the human super cool, and the halfling just a bunch of fun...all the 'untrained hirelings' are excellent!
I love the orc lady too! She seemed really cool.
Just 43 and 44 to go now...I think. But 45 will drop tomorrow so I'll be ANOTHER episode behind. xD There was another break for Pax to. So you got another week break to catch up XD |

Totally thought, when Mark was reading the letter, that the Evil Person was going to be the Sky Prince. Who I really like! So I'm glad it wasn't but Elluis (spelling?) is cool too, and I didn't expect it to be him, so that was a cool twist! It was an excellent decision for Mark to make him seem all offended when the party were talking about casting Zone of Truth.

Feel really bad for Arodan...that guy helped raise him! But the Zone of Truth scene was awesome.
I also feel SO BAD for Edea- she lost her parents, and her girlfriend who she'd left at the estate. I'm glad she's alive and that Lucius got to reunite with at least one member of his family (and I hope she goes with them on the airship!), but feel so bad for her.

I was doing dishes and had to stop because I couldn't breath from laughing at this.

Finally starting to play catch-up: EPISODE 46 LENCE! I love this triton he is A Good.
Love this island in general, really. So cool! I wish the party would hang around a bit longer, but I suppose they'll be back to get paid after their quest anyway. |

Episode 51Howard's backstory! Dx The bit about his husband dying was a sad, but then he mentions leaving his son because he felt he wasn't good at being a dad and I'm like...all the feelings!!!
And then immediately after in a conversation with Qill he starts rambling about making moonshine in a bathtub. xD
I also love Mark's take on dragons! Dragons are the commanders of the dragonborn military, and also take the place of airships for them? Heck yes! This is so awesome! And the custodian (can't remember his name properly) is just so incredibly awesome. I love him! I'm sad I can't find any fanart of him, I love me a cool dragon.

Episode 53I stayed up late to watch the end of this episode because I heard there was an ace character, and was excited to find out who! Fayeth? Ahh! This is the best possible scenario! She and Lucius opened up to each other and made an emotional connection, and forged this bond to represent that and...it's very sweet! Much nicer than the usual 'we accidentally got married' scenarios!
Also, the way Mark/Kamara explained asexuality without ever using the word was evocative and perfect. I've never heard it explained so beautifully and clearly in fiction without a character actually saying 'asexual.'

So the DM of High Rollers, Mark Hulmes, will be DMing a twelve part WotC series called Nights of Eveningstar. The first episode will be live on twitch in just over an hour, Imma tune in for as much as I can before I head out.

Can't talk about it XD I mean, fair. xD I am so bad at keeping up with stuff...and each episode is over three hours...so I probably won't catch back up again for a while yet! Whereas Nights of Eveningstar has episodes a nice easy two hours in length, and only goes for twelve weeks, so I think I can manage it (especially since it goes live at 11am on a day I don't often work!) |
