See, if they really think they're going to get non-Neopets players on this app, that seems like a missed opportunity to me. If you get so many games in and the game goes "psst make a neopets account and get free neopoints just for playing!" then that might actually spur some sign-ups. (Assuming anyone is actually going to download this who doesn't already play Neopets, which is a premise I'm not sure about to begin with.)
Regardless, the game is nice and well-polished and I'm having fun with it. It also turns out I'm terrible at scrabble.

See, Scrappy says that, but the producer actually working on the app has said they are planning, at some point in the future, to have more rewards on site. They'll probably end up going down the 'get a Rare Item Code by completing these achievements' road like Treasure Keepers did, I'd say.

It's not clear whether that's for in-app, Neopets the website, or both. You need an Instagram account. I've been thinking about making one anyway, so I went ahead and signed up.

Oh, crap. Just as I finished the Challenge of Challenges, I realized I had the account linking problem where usernames over 18 characters couldn't be linked. I hadn't noticed at first since a username exists with the same first 16 characters as mine, and I guess I hadn't paid enough attention to the fact that my username had been cut off. So now my L&L game is linked to that account instead. -___- (Curse my younger self for always needing to use up the entire character count for usernames, lol.)
Time to send in a ticket...

Forgive the Necro-Bump, but I did finally get a mobile phone, and picked up L&L Would anyone mind giving me the short version walk-through of important things I'd need to know? I have the game, but I basically only play it for the Neopets rewards, which are given through Crossover Week in the Challenge of Challenges. The last crossover week was June 28 through July 5, and the next one is anticipated to start after 5pm NST on July 26 and run through the following Sunday. The gameplay itself is sort of like singleplayer Scrabble. You make words and the strength of your team's attack is based on how good of a play you made. If you don't have a background in Scrabble you can cheat and just use an online anagram solver. xd As you progress through the maps, you get gold and additional heroes. At some point you'll want to focus on leveling just a few of your favorite heroes who will become your main team. You can sell off the heroes you don't need or use them to level your main team. It's good to keep around a couple of heroes with different abilities (single-attack, group-attack, heal self, heal team) for the purpose of completing the crossover challenges. That's the basics of it and should be enough if all you want is the crossover rewards.  |

Honestly, it sort of figures that as soon as I get the game, they announce no more crossovers, so no chance at the stamp, trophy, or avatar x.x

I wonder about the apps Neopets keeps touting and putting out. It seems they never seem to last. I had some hopes for Letters & Legends, but like others, they seemed to have lost interest (or lack of revenue) and let it fall by the wayside.
