Awesomesauce, fabulicorice and cool beans are all words that I would use to describe She-Ra. Also, I'm kinda hungry right now. SO. Favourite characters? Favourite episodes? and if you're a fan of the original She-Ra, who are you hoping to see from the pool of characters who haven't appeared yet? --- I'm just going to take a moment to talk about what I expect to see in season 2. (Please let there be a season 2. and good quality merch.) So for the means of powering up the Black Garnet, the Horde's strat seems to be to go after the runestones (which Catra demonstrated nicely on that model. RIP lightbulb) and destroy them.
Let's see their chances on each kingdom we know so far...
Bright Moon. Heavily fortified, runestone is hard to reach and the entire kingdom is shielded by magick and protected by a powerful sorceress (Angella). They also have an army. This was the Horde's first choice to attack and it failed. 'cause of the previously mentioned army, plus the rebellion help at the last moment. Also, She-Ra pretty much lives there.
Salineas. Poor abandoned Salineas. XD No army, but the whole place is pretty inaccessible being stuck in the middle of the sea of nowhere. It also has this huge magic barrier gate of impenetrability.
Dryl. Supposedly has no runestone. Moving on...
Snows. The princess is a child, but that child commands an army. The runestone is well shielded by an ice fortress, and it's in the middle of nowhereland blizzard edition.
Plumeria. A peaceful kingdom full of peasants and pretty flowers. Runestone is literally a tree... and was nearly destroyed 4 episodes into season 1 from nearby pollution. Yikes. No magic barriers or armies.
RIP Plumeria.

My favorite characters were Entrapta and Catra... And SEA HAWK! Sea Hawk makes me nervous. He doesn't just sink ships, he reduces them to ashes before they meet the seafloor. On a regular basis, too! :O I like your lingo! May I add some more hip 90's teen lingo to the list: Tight, Major Boss, Totally Tight, Wicked Cool, Way Cool, and Chillin' with the Grillin'! O snap! Those sweet treats are jammaslammin'!

They're funky fresh and totally fly! In non-90s speech, though, this show is tots cool! I especially loved Swiftwind the talking horse.

How did I never post in this one? Love She-Ra! My faves are Scorpia and Mermista (Mermista is so delightfully deadpan, I love it.) I watched the first season when staying in Auckland with a friend, and so the FRIENDSHUP!!!! themeage was especially delightful. I don't think I dislike any of the characters really. They're all wonderful!

Oh boy! :D
I forgot to mention my favourite characters here, so I'll do it now in no partucular order: Perfuma, Scorpia and Entrapta.
Mermista is also hilarious and I really like her so far. XD Sea Hawk is really growing on me, too. (Not that I didn't like him before, I was merely neutral.)
I don't dislike any of the characters, but Hordak still bores me as of season 2. Hopefully he will have more screen time later on.

I love the show; can't wait for season 3. I can't pick a favorite, but might as well give Bow a mention because no one's mentioned him yet and he's awesome.

Episodes 1-3 of She-Ra's third season "This is a prison?" "Why do people keep saying that??!" This opening ongoing joke was perfect. xD
Hordak's backstory is so good! And honestly, he was such a flat villain before but his friendship with Entrapta makes me feel things. <3
Huntara is just, guh. That short scene where she's clearly flirting with the other lady in the not-mos eisley cantina? Excellent! And then Scorpia and Catra too...so many excellent queer vibes this season.
I love that Mara's She-Ra looks different from Adora. Also love that the ship got so utterly looted, with the justification "if they didn't want stuff stolen, they should have bolted it down better." Wonderful! The scenes on the ship felt so mystical and cool in general.
Am curious to see where things go with Shadow Weaver too...

I have started this. I am late to the bandwagon but I do not have Netflix. I watch this with my friend.
I like it so far. The 80s cheese is combined nicely with the modern retool in a way that makes the cheese endearing. My fave so far is Glimmer, though I think that is likely to change. However, it's just such a pleasure to see a character with my body type on screen.

I was never much of a big fan of the original series, but I am thoroughly enjoying the new series. I'm most of the way through Season 2 (I take my time and enjoy the shows, to me, binge-watching crams too much at once and you miss things). The new She-Ra is delightful. It has a nice balance of seriousness and humor and while it emphasizes friendship and cooperation, it isn't all black and white good vs bad. It's people who make choices for reasons that seem valid to themselves (for the most part), and there are interesting back stories on everyone. This makes the series very entertaining for me, and it's done it well.

Just watched season 3 and it's quite the doozy! They spent no time getting to the action, and I was on the edge of my seat for pretty much every episode. Also, Entrapta's friendship with Hordak is adorable. Considering that his backstory reveal was narratively sympathetic it all appears to be setting up for Horde Prime to be the true villian in the future. This does make Hordak seem much less flat of a character, now that we know where he stands.
Catra's descent into madness was inevitable, and I really wonder how her character development is going to move forward from this, well... backstabbing literally everyone and trying to destroy the time space continuum.
As soon as they said that someone needed to stay behind, I knew it wasn't going to be Adora or any of the main cast. XD Queen Angella is probably one of the most bland characters out of the support cast, so... aside from the fact of Glimmer losing both of her parents now, Angella's sacrifice didn't make me all that upset. X'D
