Wow, what a mess! But we got there. Here is a name you learned in Session 26! (there were a few others said in passing, but I didn't think the party knows enough on them to warrant making articles. Still, let me know if you wish me to do so.) Finnabri (she/her)- sea elven guard from 1000 years ago, successfully 1v1ed a shark, part of her soul was temporarily bound to Tally. EDIT: Adding these three because I didn't want to forget their names again (sorry Evnae!) Lysanthos (he/him)- elf, vice director, trade offices. Evnae (he/him) and Istovea (he/him)- two drow currently staying at the Party House in Cai Shaan.

Session 26 Summarised (while it's still fresh in my mind): The party travel to the Institute of the Third Eye to find Solstriana. She is very "hmmm INTERESTING!!!!" about Emily, and announces that Emily is not a ghost, while insisting that she keep said not-ghost overnight to work out what she actually is. Solstriana casts a spell which creates a flash of red light around Emily, and Batelf and Tally notice a smaller flash of red sparking from Tally themself.
The party then return to the party house and crash. Deeply. Except for Meallan, who takes a bath; and Batelf, who opens and reads some letters addressed to Khamet as well as a poem Tally wrote. Tally themself is snuggled up with Istovea and Evnaerhys, the two drow staying at the Party House for the time being. Tally hears the name 'Finnabri' in their dreams, and it feels like it belongs to them. Meallan has a more substantial dream:
He dreams that he is looking at the ground with soft light surrounding him. There are hands on his shoulders and Malka, right beside his ear, tells him not to look up. He does so very subtly, and notices a figure cloaked in golden light standing in front of him. Everywhere else he looks, there's bright light that hurts his eyes.
The party wake on the 29th of Realm, and Tally talks to Istovea about how to go about changing their name. Istovea says you just kinda...change it, and give the new name to the people you want to use it. Tally says they have been thinking of changing their name to 'Finnabri', as it feels right.
They have a 9am meeting with Solstriana. Surprise! She informs them that Emily is not actually a ghost. Her ship, the Gratitude, disappeared 1000 years ago and it seems she has somehow ended up mostly, but not entirely, in the present. Around the same time, a goblin village where Sureshelter now stands was consumed to power a device hidden in the mountains nearby. Later something happened with the device when adventurers confronted those who owned it: a necromancer, an artificer and a blacksmith. A wave of transmutation magic swept outward, as far as Shaan, and the Gratitude disappeared.
It's all very weird and timey-wimey, but her being only mostly-present is the explanation for why Emily seems to flicker. The party also learn that Emily is from Valdrona: an island nation whose queen made a pact with a demon a few hundred years ago and so is now entirely populated by tieflings. Except when she lived there, before the pact, the place was called Ephitan. But...that's not all! Solstriana informs the party that Tally has a portion of another soul stuck to theirs. How peculiar!
Meallan casts 'dispel magic' on Emily and, while it almost kills her, it does stop her ghostly flickering by pulling her entirely into the present. Emily is now a fully corporeal human being. Yay! She remains at the Institute of the Third Eye while the party decide what to do next.
The party then divide their attention, with Amani seeking more information at the Institute and the rest of the party going to the port to view the archives beneath the trade offices. The party interrupt a secretary's Tuck Chingle reading session, are joined by Usavias (who is one of three people known to possess an archive key), and descend some poorly lit stairs to investigate a bunch of poorly organised cabinets dating back more than 1000 years (convenient, given the Gratitude disappeared 1000 years ago!)
After learning about Finnabri (who was in charge of the guards assigned to make sure Gratitude was unloaded safely without the expensive fabrics aboard being pilfered by undesirables), the party are encouraged to find out how to separate Finnabri from Tally...by returning to Solstriana. SIGH.
Thankfully, they run into Amani and Solstriana as soon as they go outside! Solstriana had teleported them both to the wharf so they could water-walk out to look for any traces of magic around the former site of the Gratitude. The duo found nothing, except a slightly confused sea elf gathering shellfish; and a fish protected by abjuration magic which Amani tried and failed to catch.
At Solstriana's suggestion, the party take Finnabri and Tally to the Everqueen's temple in Cai Shaan, while Meallan returns to the Institute for more research. Basil and Amani sneak after him, soooo...okay so half the party stay with Tally and Finnabri, then. Solstriana asks Meallan to speak with her later about some arcane matters, to which he agrees. After conversing with the clerics and determining how to locate the rest of Finnabri's soul and separating Finnabri from Tally, Solstriana returns to the Institute to find Meallan.
Meallan is reading books like a total nerd. Amani and Basil have found each other, and they tail Meallan and Solstriana to the latter's study. Amani remains outside while Basil manages to slip in and hide under a sofa, which is convenient as Amani can't hear anything from outside. But Basil, fortunately, hears all!
Solstriana reveals that she knows Meallan is a warlock. She asks him to investigate Usavias, who along with Lyrelle has given her only flimsy excuses for the presence of the Evil Magic Sand in the city. If he does not investigate, or if he reveals that Solstriana put him up to this, she will let everyone know he is a warlock. More importantly, she will reveal that he burned down his own village with the aid of his patron. Meallan is shaken, but he agrees to do as she says.
As he leaves the room, he catches sight of Amani scurrying to hide. He acknowledges them and explains what he was asked to do. Amani knows that Solstriana and Usavias don't like each other, and suggests that she could be doing this for purely selfish reasons. Regardless, Meallan maintains he has to do as he was asked, or else people will find out what happened to his village.
Amani reveals that Solstriana specialises in the divination school of magic. They apologise for having not told Meallan before.
Meanwhile Basil is still hiding under the sofa. He waits until Solstriana leaves the room and then opens the window and leaps out, avoiding detection and escaping the grounds of the Institute. Along with Amani and Meallan, he rejoins the party at the Everqueen's temple (although Meallan and Amani do not enter, instead waiting outside.)
Finnabri's personality is detached from Tally and an unclothed sea elf appears in the temple. Batelf flings his cloak at the newly manifested Finnabri and the party do their best to help her adjust to this strange situation. They take her back to the party house and buy her some nice new clothes along the way, and that's where we ended the session.

According to the timer above: just under one day and ten hours until next session! Can Finnabri be convinced that she is not, in fact, currently deceased? Will Meallan share his newest predicament with the rest of the party? Will Batelf ever find a reason to enact vigilante justice against these suspicious individuals? Can Basil find a way to ensure his companions never visit Sureshelter; never ever ever, not in a million years? And who is this mysterious new figure, emerging slowly and dramatically from a metaphorical gloom? =O (yeah it's Draco but shshsh, no need to spoil the dramatiks!!) See you peeps soon to perhaps get a few of these questions answered! =D

Hi Team EuroAtlantis! I bring you...name updates from session 27! Nadarr (he/him)- guest character played by Draco. A ranger who is half silver dragon, half elf. Ruhnzolarr (any)- a gold dragon who made a deal with Anthony, in return for an agreement it will no longer eat humanoids. Claudia (she/her)- human sailor from the Wavesong. Sailed the Sprite for the party in session 27 so they could get to Ruhnzolarr. Kelamphi (they/them)- sea elf who requested the party's aid in defeating a terrifying dragon! The party did take care of the issue, but perhaps not quite in the way Kelamphi had hoped.

Hi friends! Under four days until session 28! Meallan wants to investigate the wreck of the ship formerly carrying Evil Sand (TM), while the party as a whole intend to prepare for this gala you find yourselves invited to, by acquiring some nice accessories and/or attire. Well, Batelf wasn't invited. But that never stopped him from doing things before!

A day and a bit to go until session 28! Can Meallan find Interesting Stuff in that shipwreck? How long before Anthony starts displaying draconic traits? What might Basil smuggle into the gala...and how much will he manage to 'borrow' while there? How many of their suggested crackpot schemes for this event will the party be able to enact? We should be able to answer some of these questions (and more!) very soon indeed. =D

Less than twelve hours until session 28 of EuroAtlantis! Just realised I didn't do a recap of 27, whoops. Here's a veryvery quick one now: Session 27The party (minus Basil) met Nadarr, a silver half-dragon, when he kicked open their door and asked them to help fight a dragon. Not to be outdone, Anthony made his own grand entrance by leaping through the window, with Tally managing to yank it open just in time.
Acquiring a boat (and being unfortunately reunited with Claudia, one of the sailors from Miali's crew), the party set out to find this dragon. Along the way they were accosted by strange beings of water and fire, but managed to escape relatively unscathed. The dragon Ruhnzolarr admitted it finds humanoids tasty, but agreed to stop eating them if the party could find it a new lair. Also, it wanted one of their number to agree to become its 'special morsel': that is, a creature it would normally consider edible, but absolutely won't eat because they bring treasure and food to it.
Anthony both found the dragon a new lair (by polymorphing into a small bronze dragon and diving underwater to search), and agreed to take up its offer. As a result, Anthony now knows Draconic, and only time will tell what else will occur as a result of this deal. The dragon gave the party five absurdly valuable gemstones formed by an interaction between dragon's fire and corals, and Meallan took one of its golden scales. Nadarr refused payment and disappeared when the party's backs were turned. When last we saw the party, they had just had their gemstones appraised at a discount by Amani's jeweler mother, Naila.

Here are the names you learned in Session 28! I need to update existing character pages too (e.g. to add that Anthony now has a patch of scales), but I will get around to that a bit later. The date is now the first of Stone! The first day of the new year (15003), and the day of the Flower Gala. Session 28: Names Learned!Kiastra (she/her)- Rynn's aunt. The party found her overly condescending and rejected her offer of payment in exchange for talking with... Auraelin (she/her)- another of Rynn's aunts. The party has not interacted with her thus far. Maerelle (they/them)- apprentice wizard who was part of an organised display at the gala. Lariwyn (she/her)- well-known philanthropist. Spoke briefly to Anthony at the gala. Marina (she/her)- Gale's water genasi girlfriend. Jane (she/her)- human bard, Master of Music in Cai Shaan. Plays a miniature harp! I just realised she shares a full name with an irl conductor but shshshsh, total coincidence. >.> Caverael (she/her)- Lyrelle's oldest child and Rynn's sister. Some details in the linked articles (e.g. that Caverael is a priest of Vinistra) didn't come up in the session, but they are things the party could plausibly have heard when milling about and so I left them in.

Here's a quick Session 28 Recap:The morning after the adventure with Nadarr, Basil wakes to find Batelf on his bed feeding a letter to Shenanigoat. Quite understandably, Basil nearly stabs Batelf in his alarm. Batelf informs the party that they have received a summons from Lyrelle asking to meet with him late morning, to get the lord up to speed with the Ghost Ship adventure. Meallan wants to explore the wreck of the ship which had previously been transporting the 'evil sand', and so the party decide to split up: with Meallan, Anthony and Basil investigating the wreck and Amani, Tally and Batelf meeting with Lyrelle.
To get out to the wreck, they need a boat. Meallan disguises himself as Miali and casts 'Charm Person' on a fisherman, successfully gaining the use of his fishing boat. The fisherman further offers to let 'Miali' have his house, but Meallan declines.
After 'Water Breathing' is cast and the trio dive down to the wreck, Anthony and Basil work together to retrieve some nice shiny treasure. Meallan uncovers a couple details useful to his investigation: the ship is called the Firefly, and the crest above the lock on the treasure chest Basil opened is for the Mountainheart Refinery in Lustross. Here, magical materials are refined from Magical Meteors called 'astrolith'.
Meanwhile at Lyrelle's residence, the Ghost Ship is being thoroughly discussed. Amani tells him about the strange effects it had on the group, such as the zone of silence. They also mention that the ghosts are from 1000 years in the past, and semi-corporeal. Batelf further clarifies that they are not actually ghosts, while Tally refers to the strange pressure felt in the air at the battle's conclusion. Emily is mentioned, and Lyrelle explains that Solstriana has told him a bit about her and that he knows Emily is currently being kept at the Institute.
Anthony asks permission to bring Tyzol to the gala, and this is granted. Afterwards, the trio ask Lyrelle about the purpose of the 'evil sand' within the city. He replies that it is a component in medicine. While Amani believes he is telling the truth, Tally and Batelf notice that his demeanor changes and he averts his eyes while speaking, which is out of character for Lyrelle.
Yzzy arrives later that day, when the party have returned to their house! Tally shows her around and Yzzy comments on the haphazard pile of furniture stacked beneath the broken skylight- on top of which, a sleepy Aytal is curled up.
It is just under a week until the Flower Gala. The party divide their time between arranging their outfits, catching up with friends and family, and aiding in Meallan's investigation. Tally goes with Meallan to acquire a trade archive key from Lysanthos, the vice director of the trade offices. Unfortunately for Lysanthos, Thorn didn't describe him at all and so for now he is totally nondescript and featureless, the poor guy. I will rectify this the next time you encounter him. Even with Lysanthos' archive key, the party learn very little as the documentation they are after has most likely not yet been moved to those long-term archives, if indeed it exists at all.
There is some good news, however. The cover story and secondary goal for visiting the archives was that the duo wanted to search for evidence of law changes, to help Finnabri get used to modern Cai Shaan and perhaps resume her old guard job. Tally was able to find some notes on law changes and the like, which they can now pass on to Finnabri.
Meallan asks Solstriana if he can exchange his rare, valuable draconic gem for a magic item. Time will tell whether or not he took her up on this offer... Amani and Tally look into the company which manufactures the medicine supposedly containing the 'evil sand'. They intend to pay it a visit after the gala. It's called 'Galysen Botanicals', and is owned by a brother/sister duo, Marigold and Sunflower Galysen.
Later in the week, a patch of golden scales appears on the back of Anthony's left hand. Gasp! Tyzol, when she arrives at the party house ahead of the gala, loves this, and keeps running her own scaly draconic hand over Anthony's new scales.
Finally, it's time for the party to attend the Flower Gala! But first, Batelf gifts his trusty double-bladed scimitar to Basil. D'aww!
The party dress up in their fine new clothes...except for Batelf, who instead opts to disguise himself as Khamet. Tally reprimands him for this, but he ignores their advice and instead jumps the fence, avoiding the guards and making it into the event without his True Identity being uncovered. By the time Basil has a sneakily hidden dagger confiscated, Meallan and Amani have had their spellcasting foci bound so they won't work during the gala, and the whole party has made it into the garden where the gala is being held, 'Khamet' is already wandering around with a drink mingling with people.
Early on the party are approached by Gale and his girlfriend Marina, who is visiting Cai Shaan for the gala. Gale excitedly tells the party that he is getting a new ship, and would love for the party to name it! He says that they can think on it and get back to him in a few days if they like, as he knows it's a big decision to make. Meanwhile 'Khamet' overhears Miali grumbling about how somebody impersonated her and cast 'Charm Person' and she ran into issues because of that...such a mystery!!!! Who could it possibly be??? Definitely not a member of this very, definitely heroic party!
Amani is not wearing Anthony's sunglasses for the first time in Solstriana's presence, and is worried the archmage may notice their striking silver eyes, but can't tell for sure. She is proving difficult to read. After the rest of the party reject a 'quest' offered by Rynn's aunt to talk to Rynn's other aunt and find out what plans she has for Rynn (so the first aunt, Kiastra, can make better plans!), Tally gives her some advice. They suggest she should be honest with Rynn, find out what they like, and become the cool aunt that Rynn can come to about anything! Any issues they may have. Anything! Tally gets emotional about all this, and Yzzy comforts them.
A fairly drunk Anzi cries at 'Khamet' about what a wonderful friend he is, until Anzi's mother Murai approaches to comfort him and make sure he doesn't cause any more drama. Meallan is intrigued by an apprentice from the institute, who summoned a tidal wave from a stream during an organised display; but the apprentice is very nervous around him and, when told they don't have to stay, they immediately leave.
We ended the session with the party enjoying gala snacks and drinks, and will conclude the event during our next session this Saturday.

A few months back, I wrote a silly piece in which the adventurers had to go to a birthday party for either Rinn or Rynn. They were unsure which person. Not to be outdone...by myself...here is the sequel. In time for April Fools! "The fate of the entire. World. Depends on us getting this message to Rinn."
"Sorcerinn, or rich kid Rynn?"
"Good question, Basil! I don't know."
The party stood around in awkward silence. Tally, the bearer of this unfortunately incomplete news, looked sheepish.
"Who asked you to deliver the message?" asked Meallan. "Surely that will narrow it down. Lyrelle would hardly have us deliver a message to a sorcerer in another territory, after all."
Tally squinted at the writing. "It's all in this letter. The name is smudged. Sol...something?"
"That's half this country!" Khamet exclaimed.
"Could be 'Solaemis'...'Solaria'? Even 'Solstriana' if the letters are squished together."
"Yes but we need a solution, now, or apparently the world will end," Anthony reminded them. "I don't want this world to end. My life is finally coming together!"
"Last week, you made a blood pact with a dragon."
"And?? Meallan's done way worse."
The warlock in question scowled. "There was no need to bring me into this. I think it is clear: there is only one way forward for our group."
The entire party turned to him, a mixture of expectancy and skepticism.
"And that is?" Amani prompted.
"We transport ourselves into another realm of existence. Then when this world ends, we will simply not be here. It is an elegant solution."
Silence.
"Wow, really?" was Khamet's sage response.
"Sounds great! I mean...uhhh...noooooooo I would never do this..." Basil replied.
"Meallan, we're trying to help people," Amani reminded him.
"What about Tyzol?"
"Well, we need to make a decision, or the world will end and we'll still be here arguing!" Tally snapped.
Then the world ended, and the Disaster Party was still there arguing.
