There'll be a follow up campaign in the same world with new characters, but that won't start until a few months after this one finishes. I'll try to get the rest of the recaps done in the interim so you can finish following the story too. <3 |

Three months on and here we are! Less than a week to go until we meet to create characters for our one-shot using the Cortex system. In Island of Light, players will take on the roles of sailors investigating a new island formed by a falling star.

And there we have it: our party of bold adventurers! I'll see you on the 20th for their Big Adventure. I don't have everyone's name and pronouns yet but here are the general vibes. Our Fine Sailors
Alva'reina (she/her): drow sailor somewhere in her 400s. She misses the time before the civil war when people didn't worry about silly things like 'kindness' and 'mercy.' Frequently gets drunk and insists others praise her.
Seleuci (he/him): former aasimar, current flesh golem, and best known as Khamet's sleazy ex boyfriend. Has been travelling in the cargo hold in a box, much like Dracula. Unlike Dracula, he sneaks out to steal cargo and party with the others on deck like he's been here the whole time. He is a practitioner of nature magic and a socialite who loves having his ego stroked.
Segro (he/him): an orange kobold carpenter based in Cai Shaan. He has amnesia, and can't remember a time before some drunken sailors adopted (kidnapped?) him as their ship's cat. Currently works as a ship's carpenter, so a bit of an upgrade there.
Dr. Darby: a blue lizardfolk ship's doctor. Tends to eat amputated limbs. Many find this upsetting.
?? (she/her): a woman of an octopus-mer species, recently and bitterly divorced. She stole her partner’s ancestral trident when she took off to the surface, where she now operates this merchant vessel alongside the rest of our fine adventurers.
I will keep using this thread for these one-shots. But once we get to our second long-term adventure, I will make a new thread for a fresh start. |
