Silver sat down on the cot with a heavy thud that rattled its supports. Does he... does he work for YOU? she wondered. She crawled under the cot and curled into a rocky ball. She closed her eyes and her glow dimmed. --- "Thanks," Rith said to both the information provider and the girl. She wrapped the ear in one of the few unbloodied scarves she'd been wearing as a Trallyr and put it in her bag. "I didn't expect this ship to have one. This isn't a good ship for battle anyway, and you're not exactly a war-ready crew." She paused her speech, rethinking what she had been going to say. "Just saying, the lead Jalgar said they were wanted by multiple governments, and someone may find the ear useful." She selected a point along their route and sent it to Muse. [ Can you meet me here? ] ((Timeskip?)) A few days later, the ship lands. It is noticeable in that Silver can hear the engine noise die, and unfamiliar voices.Lochoi is the one that brought her things to eat but he has been relatively uninterested in conversing with her.The Stale ship air takes on a natural smell for the first time as the air from wherever they landed permeates. It smells like swamp and like fruit. (If she can even smell) A pair of footsteps approaches her door. Neither sounds like Lochoi. Silver was sitting in the center of her cell, rocking back and forth when she heard the changes in sounds as the ship landed. Is that real? Or another hallucination?"What do you think?" she asked her hand in Tyrannian. "I think it's real!" she heard her hand answer with Max's voice. She stood up and went to the door, avoiding the piles of acidic rock slurry she had tried to keep to one side of the room. She really missed having a bathroom. One of the pebbles in a pile she passed was a mix of very pretty colors. No, you will not go digging around in your own poop!"But it's shiny!" her hand argued with a voice she couldn't identify. How do I look? Guess I do want to impress my buyer... somehow? The new flowery orange sundress she'd bought just for her trip was stained with dirt and blood and eaten away by acid. She blinked several times and bit her lip before trying to focus again on the door. ...Footsteps?She leaned against the wall, watching, waiting for the door to crack open. ((Was thinking of something like this for the dress)) --- Glyph arrived at the Trallyr prison with two Jalgar. One a female with a smooth and unblemished body, the other a male who looked to be recovering from both death and an attack from a meat grinder. Both wore uniforms with the Rinamian symbol of a speaking sun. The male's hands were typical for a Jalgar, but the female's looked foreign. If you didn't dismiss the thought immediately, she almost looked to be wearing mechanical gloves. "Are you certain this 'Grendel' will know something?" asked the female with a scowl. "No, but she's a better resource then those poor Jalgar colonists you terrorized with the Krakkurik Stitchers, Captain." Glyph said. "No one was badly injured." the female replied. "Has the prison answered on whether they will release the bodies of their deceased Jalgar inmates to us?" asked the male. "No, not yet..." Glyph responded.

The room had a light but the hallway was much brighter at the moment. It flushed the hallway a cool blue-silver. Neither of the Jalgar before here were Lochoi. One was the captain, the other unfamiliar. He was large like Lochoi, but a little taller and thinner. He wore armor and facial scars across his nose. He didn't look particularly mean besides from that and the weapons at his hip. In his hands he held what looked comparatively like an I-pad with the camera facing Silver. The captain was dressed in what were probably normal clothes, which looked like they didn't fit him compared to the gear he wore on his raid. It made him look smaller. Older. The captain was discussing something with a voice from the device, which he seems to be able to see on a screen but Silver cannot. "Oh! You are right this is no Chi'suut for sure. How absolutely stunning!" The voice is feminine and sounds like a middle aged woman cooing over cats. "Usually you pull my leg on these kinds of things but I guess even rascals like you lot can bring in real gems sometimes." The Captain politely laughs at her jab at him. "It was total happenstance, Ma'am." The unfamiliar jalgar looks her over curiously and speaks up. "You can talk, I have heard?" --- At the prison Enie is there to greet them like before at reception. "Ah, Miss Glyph, welcome back. I understand you wish to converse with Miss Lei Mirr like last time? Oh, and new friends?" She looks at the jalgar looking a but wary at the unfamiliarity of their garb. "Usually we only let one individual in the room with the individual but if she consents I suppose we could have you all in the larger meeting room....."

"Sick?" --- Enie nods. "I see... I'll have Iko check...." After a brief conversation over internal communication she nods. "Alright. Iko will take you to the room. If you need anything, He'll wait outside of the room for you." A cyan trallyr enters the main area and gestures for them to follow him.

But M-Max says I will get better." she gestured to the empty air beside her. --- "Thank you, Enie." Glyph said before following Iko. The Jalgar trailed behind her.

Huggort, the unfamiliar jalgar, looks to silver. "I imagine you don't need to be convinced to leave this ship. Would you come with me?" --- They arrive at a room that is just like the one before but with a larger space. Do you have a name? " --- Grendel thought about it, considered his face, and shrugged. "I've seen far worse. You are just dressed strange. Must be some offworld thing." She sat up, looking the new ones over with a piercing, analytical gaze before looking to Glyph. "Mh? You know that jus' 'cause I'm in this spacehole don't mean I know every fella who deserves it, right? Hah. Gonna need more than that if I even know 'im." She sounds less sophisticated in jalgarean than in other languages.

It might be funny to hear try to pronounce my real name, but their language doesn't sound tonal and they might call me something stupid on purpose or on accident and I would just have to answer to it, Silver thought. She concentrated on putting her words together cohesively. "It sounds weird on foreign tongues. Just call me Silver in whatever language you prefer. If I understand it, I will answer... Why does your boss want me?" --- A projection appeared on the glass of the Jalgar Captain, a still frame taken from the Trallyr ship cameras. He was smiling at his captives with his gunman to the side of him. "This man," started Glyph, "appears to be both old and skilled at his craft. Both increase the chances of you knowing him. This woman-" a picture appeared next to his of Silver with a genuine smile and her arms warped around a strange, somewhat human, primate creature who was also smiling "was the passenger he abducted." For clarification on which one was 'the woman', she added another picture of Silver to the glass, this time alone and sitting on a pile of rocks, but still smiling.

She stopped and admired the wilderness around them. For the first time since she'd met the Jalgar her ears perked up. "This place is beautiful..." --- "Yes, they are. Both Neopians, a planet with an amazing 55 different native sentient species." Glyph was smiling and nodding in agreement. The female Jalgar scowled. "Hey, we're talking about a person here. And her name is Silver." "Yes, Captain, but give Grendel a moment, she's never seen a Mynci or a Xweetok before. Max was a fairly typical Mynci in terms of physical build, but Silver has always been quite extraordinary, even for her planet." "We need to find her." said the Captain, eyes on Grendel.

He starts down the narrow but sturdy dock. The water below is teeming with roots and life. --- Grendel, not liking getting jostled out of her current thoughts aims her eyes right at the female Jalgar. Not in a hostile way but just a tad unamused. "You are close to her, I can tell. But get your words right. You need to find her. I don't." She holds eye contact. "At this moment I'm just operating on the pure goodwill of my heart, sweetie. Who are you, an offworlder? Must be. It's obvious. Hah. You don't even have hands."

"Oh, your wife. A collector... my last one was mostly nice to me." She stopped and admired the wilderness around them. "Isnt' it?" Huggort smiled. "A lot of outsiders do not like it but it is one of the most beautiful places I know. But also very dangerous, which is why we stay out of the water." Silver followed behind, eyes on the water now. "What's down there?" --- The Captain refused to break eye contact with Grendel. "Well, actually, I need to find her as well," Glyph interjected, "Silver is an employee of mine, after all. As is the Captain and -" The male stepped forward with a smile and gave Grendel a slight bow. "Mr. Stitcher, very interested to meet you, Miss Lei Mirr. You have a keen eye, and are very right about the Captain. I am curious, however, what you might say about me."

He points at a large, pale yellow creature that looked like a fancy, frilly leech. "It's a good mother unless there's a famine." They approach a door just sticking out at the end of the dock. It descends into what silver can see is an immense building, one story above and who knows how many underneath, just sitting peacefully in the water. --- Grendel broke eye contact to regard him. "Ah, the pleasure is mine, it's nice to meet someone with manners sometimes." He scans him with her eyes. "Well I can say I'm both a bit perturbed and very intrigued by the fact that you are standing here and working in that condition. If you were one of my charges I'd euthanize you." She says it matter-of-factly.

She says it matter-of-factly. A good mother unless there's a famine? Wonder if that applies to his wife as well...Silver paused to look at the door opening before her. "I saw this in a movie once. It's.. fitting." --- He chuckled and crossed his arms, leaning against the wall. "As I said, a keen eye. Maybe that's what happened to this poor fellow. Maybe not. But he was dead and we need Jalgars. When I'm done using this body I'll be certain to give it a proper burial, or whatever Jalgar do for their dead." "Mr. Stitcher, what do you say we investigate what we can do for Grendel? The Trallyr won't be happy, but they might let me transfer you to a nicer facility. I favor the ones that allow talent to not go to waste in a cell."
