Silver cast her a sideways glance. "I see. If this cage is as boring as it looks, I would probably like to attend as many events as you'll allow." --- Muse busied himself with recording the information. "Fine with me." the captain replied. But Glyph shook her head. "I can't do that, Grendel. It wouldn't be legal by Jalgar law or the agreement I made with the Trallyr for you. I have no desire to find myself living in that "bird brain craphole". But I can respect your people and not trade their information." Krallika grinned with a hospitality that's hard to place in the cold feeling it radiates. "If you'd like, My ven is in line for the next round." Silver can hear a cautionary gurgle from the stall beside them. <That thing. It is a terrible monster. I watched. I cannot forget.> Krallika pays it no mind. --- "Oh psh. Law shmaw. Fine. But you'll need something to give Krallika that's not me for your friend, then. I'll have to go with you anyway if you want to find it. You can't get in unless she knows you. But if I'm there she'll probably give you good seats, so to say." Silver's ears twitched at the voice. "Yes," she said hesitantly to Krallika before seeking the other speaker. <Hello?> --- "If we had a 'law shmaw' attitude about this we'd just infect the whole lot with my next brood and call it good." Mr. Stitcher warned. "Krallika. Nice name." said the captain. "What do you suggest we barter with?"

I'm symbiotic if the host isn't already dead." "So creature it is. What's her tastes?" asked the captain.

Or beyond that it has to be a fan favorite but for something she probably picked up as rare you will likely have to match it in rarity. She likes colorful things and graceful things but all of that can be skipped if it's rare and deadly."

"We'll find the deadliest and prettiest one and trade it. This is actually sounding like fun."

They make good company, and we like similar environments." --- "Warp beast are practically demons!" the Captain started excitedly, "Mutated creatures that come only from the Dark Forest outside Taco City. "There are several that should be deadly enough to suite your lady's tastes. And speaking of tastes... I do not wish to obtain good or bad seats to any Red Ring events that involve abuse, torture, or murder. Please, and thank you. Ideally we will meet with the lady and have a talk, followed by the exchange of a warp beast for Silver. Now, Captain-" She sighed and clasped her hands together. "Captain, I am of a mind to exclude you from the meeting. Your coarse manners could act as a liability in negotiations. If you wish to attend you must show you can treat the lady like a queen in her country, and you must show this by practicing on Mr. Stitcher and Grendel." Captain stared at Glyph. "Fuuuu uuudge lollipops!" she exclaimed.

Captain's eyes remained on the floor, until Glyph gently brushed her cheek. Captain looked up at her, and Glyph took the opportunity to whisper something in the Captain's ear before kissing the cheek she had brushed. She turned away, and the Captain stood up blushing (or doing whatever Jalgar do instead). "Grendel, would you like to go for a walk?" Glyph asked her as she worked on removing the cuffs. "I have a number of Warp Beasts I have been following and taking notes on. Mr. Stitcher fancies himself a dabbling artist and can pick out nicely designed beasts from my files, while the Captain is very creative in imagining all the ways something can kill you. Their top picks can be run by you for approval when we return."

They reach the top of the stairs and it opens onto a balcony with iron railings and a few chairs built in to the floor. The crowd can be seen now, a large number of jalgar sitting in stadium-style seating around a concrete ring set into the ground below them. The balcony is above the audience's level and seems to be set into the opening through which things are taken into the ring. The ring itself is around 30 feet in diameter set around ten feet into the floor, ten foot fencing surrounding those walls, likely electric by the looks of it. When Krallika arrives on the platform the crowd gets excited. It's dark in the room, but you can still see. The lighting is a soft purple that is easy on the eyes but makes it difficult to pick people out in the crowd. The ring, however, seems to be lined with harsher, orange lights. A short jalgar is scrubbing the last bits of something off the floor as he heads out of the ring. When he is gone a gate opens on the side of the ring and releases a large, horned beast into the ring. It's the size of a rhinoceros and looks carnivorous. It's mouth is a jumble of teeth and spittle and it has a tail that reminds you of a scorpion. It's not happy to be here and it's angry growling makes the crowd rise in energy. Krallika grins out at the ring. "What do you think of that one?" --- Grendel just kind of watched the whole interaction at emotional arm's length. "I mean I hate the feathery buggers too. It's worse when they do do something. Research out the window." She shrugs. "I wouldn't be opposed to walking. Good luck making something that looks real." She gives the sentiment honestly.

"It looks stressed." Silver replied. "Where does it come from?" What did you have to do to get it? she thought to herself. Silver's own glow mixed with the lighting and gave her a light lavender overtone. She moved closer to the railing, her voice losing some of the edge it had before. "Do you train the animals and form teams, pitting one trainer's team against the other's? That is very popular back home..." --- Glyph grinned and took Grendel's freed hands in her own. "... You will need to suit up before we go outside. The air in this forest changes mixture and consistency, due to the warp fields. For safety's sake, please stay near me." Captain muttered something in agreement about the Trallyr and gave the group an apologetic look. "Sorry. I don't hate everyone. I don't even know you." The emphasis she directed to Grendel with a slight hand movement and shrug.

The bracelet has a metallic scent that silver cannot identify. It is not unpleasant. The emphasis she directed to Grendel with a slight hand movement and shrug. "That thing come from the Corkitsit Home planet. They are very glad to be rid of it." Krallika watches it with interest. Huggort laughed a little. "I'd be stressed too if I were about to be lunch." Krallika shook her head. "No, I'm more of a naturalist, really. I like to see the animals acting as they were intended to by nature. Such wonderful development over so so very long... I appreciate then as they are. I have only trained one creature but that is for the safety of everyone here. My lovely still hunts like it should." She smiled. Silver can hear the sound of something opening beneath them. Some gate below the balcony more likely than not. The audience's attention is focused on that gate as something reaches out from it. It looks like a segmented branch, but that cannot be so as it is moving and extending out a three-toed foot towards the ground in the ring. The whole limb looks like the wood of the trees she saw outside. Another one follows it and she can get the sense that these limbs aren't reaching as much as lengthening. Segments slide from under each other and thin out as the front legs gingerly touch down on the top of the fence surrounding the ring. The forelegs pull the rest of the creature with them: It's torso was surprisingly small, taking up no less space than a minifridge might. The head was almost as large, however, and sat on a very thick neck that looked like what the legs might if they were not so long. Deep recesses in the face supposedly held eyes but Silver cannot see from her angle. The Jalgar in the audience back away from it, save for a veteran few. Krallika's attention is entirely on the creature. --- "Sounds like a mess out there. Ah, and don't worry about it." She waves a hand dismissively at the captain. "If you did, you might hate me anyway, so don't fret." She grins.

She started guiding Grendel toward a wall, inside which a door appeared. "Thanks for the advanced warning." Captain replied with a raised eyebrow.
