Well, they.... Nerfed/downgraded (I learned a new word thanks to this... "Nerfed!" the poison spear wand. I'm disappointed, because it allowed me to easily beat the wraith on medium, but at the same time, I get it. If I had paid millions of NP for a weapon and then everyone got the equivalent for free, I might be a bit upset too. I can still beat with wraith on Medium, but only because a kind sole lent me regenerating brains for the plot. If it weren't for that, I'd be dead as a doornail on medium! And before, with the regenerating brains, I could beat him TWICE before healing again, and last night, I nearly managed three times. (Third was a draw.) Duke Pikachu , I know you wanted it nerfed. Any suggestions for a decent replacement weapon that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Or, perhaps, since this is Neopets, that should be coast a wing and a claw?

The Kiko Lake team is collecting donations so they can go to the Altador Cup this year. You donate Wraith Ectoplasm. How nice!
That is an actual random event I just got. That can not be good. Kiko Lake, what are you going to do with that? Are you going to make some Wraith Yooyu? Make a slick spot on the field, are are you taking it for an energy boost? To Psyche out opponents?

It's still a weapon that averages 13+ icons for absolutely free, which is roughly on par with other cost-effective-medium-power weapons like the Tyrannian Sceptre anyways. It's definitely still useful, even if not exactly Hidden Tower-tier anymore.

So. I just discovered I have over 200K left of plot points to spend from the war of the obelisk. o.O I'm going to get me my own jar of brains, so I can give the borrowed brains back.... That sounds so odd. Any idea what I should spend the rest of my prize points on? Any other decent battle items I need from that prize shop? Right now in the BD I'm using the Hanso Charisma charm as my main defense, and the weapons we got from the current plot.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I've been preoccupied with things. Well, I have the guide I written if you want to see suggestions and price them (right off my head you could try a Turned Tooth, though there's also options of the Battle Muffins too). That said, if you're having problem with Medium why not just battle it on Easy? So. I can actually still win on medium, so it's not that big of a deal, really. I'll have 145K and some change once I buy the brains, assuming the brains is indeed a good purchase. I have 245K and some change total. So assuming I get the brains, that's 145K left.

I would skip the brains and get either the background or foreground--they take a while to sell but are each worth 2m-ish, which will easily cover brains plus extra pocket change. Last I price-checked everything, the foreground was the best option in terms of pure profit (but that's assuming you even want to resist the call of the other wearables and plushies.)

Everyone's bar that was over 100% just went back down to 100% and can no longer go over 100%!
Still, no answer whether extra battling counts or not, maybe when the Editorial comes out...

I mean, it fairly clearly doesn't. Non-capped battling hasn't been a thing in over a decade, and functionally if you reach the end of the progress bar at 100%, you've reached a cap. 100% is literally everything.

No, it didn't. It was the plot that introduced the 'Do Your Part' bar that this 100% bar effectively is. Every plot from Tale of Woe onwards has had win caps on battling. Curse of Maraqua was the last one that didn't.

I'm not too heartbroken about this, since I was getting kind of bored of fighting the same opponent over and over anyways. Plus, I'm fairly certain that I'll have enough Wraith Ectoplasm should it be required in the future. *knock on wood*

Curse of Maraqua was the last one that didn't. I think I need some clarification on that point. I know it wasn't uncapped, but I was almost certain that the cap for the obelisk war was way higher than what it took to fill the bar. I did a ton of extra battling on that one and in turn got a lot more prize points than some others, and when we compared notes it looked like the only difference was whether we kept going after filling the bar. Was that just completely wrong, or?
