Second commission complete!  Thorn is working on an upcoming DnD book and needed a character with traits from an ice age animal, so I did this hunky sabertooth lady. She gave me a lot of freedom on the design and I think we’re both happy with the result! Bonus: DA is giving you a profile badge if you draw an adoptable so here's a baby flatwoods monster |

 Another commission, this one for Thorn again, to be used in her DnD book for the Illambria setting! If an ice mummy bites you, you will slowly freeze to death. Spooky. I've never drawn undead before but this was super fun. Like when you're drawing a physically healthy living human you're usually going for symmetry and correct anatomy, which really truly is a pain in the butt sometimes. It's a totally different headspace from "Okay this person has been dead in the ice for a hot minute, was probably injured before they went in and froze solid while in rigor mortis, is still frozen/turned into jerky in several places, and really is not very happy about this whole arrangement." I used a lot of pictures of a real ice mummy called Otzi for reference, including his loincloth from a reconstruction. |

Okay so I decided to start playing baldur's gate but I know nothing about Baldur's gate so I started with the first one and it turns out you can use a custom character portrait so of course mine had to be a sexy half-orc babe Going off the half-orc idea, I wanted to imply a dual nature. Her design is asymmetrical with heterochromia and a single tusk for that reason. This is also why she has a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead. 'Cause when she's good, she's very very good, and when she's bad... run. Now I just need a name lol. Things to work on: still need to figure out drawing clothing folds, my outfits and designs are nowhere near detailed enough and also some of my shading is not the best. Oh well lol |

So here's a preview of something I'm working on for the art show...   They're clay cutters! Y'all might remember this cat plaque I made for my mom like five years ago, I was thinking if I could spruce the design up and figure out how to make them fast it'd probably be a good seller. So I started fiddling with all the stuff I've learned going to the makerspace, whipped these up and am headed down there tomorrow night to 3D print them! This way I can produce a bunch of plaques in a variety of colors very fast. Hobby Lobby also had a rare sale on Sculpey, which was great timing. |

Blaaarrrrgh today was the application deadline for the art show. Worked hard on very little sleep to try to get everything done in time and my application was still pretty bad lol. Not much I can do at this point but I'm not sure I'll get in. ...this turned out nice though |

First in a planned series of six. About 3'' tall. He came out almost too big for his bell jar, whoops.
Super Sculpey, Vallejo acrylics, and some fake turf and stuff from the model trains section at hobby lobby. And probably too much super glue.

 Enjoy this super rough color concept that I'm tired of fiddling with. Partly inspired by tumblr user Myukke's Tamagotcheek.Jubjubs are supposed to be furry so I went with flames to kinda echo the fur shape, but you could go with any classic tamagotchi pattern. Using transparent plastic that shows the circuitboard underneath would be an amazing idea for a better artist than me lol. |

Made some basic design sheets of my Neopets for some future projects. Click for full size. Decided to omit most clothes--I'd like them to be nice and simple so I can draw them fast and repeatedly for comics. I actually really like how Aurora turned out in particular. |
