Oirdz rolled his eyes. "No. I've never seen a bald trallyr." Coming into view were large, towering tree-like things, connected with thick cables and paths. The quantity of them and density is far greater here than what glyph saw on the other disc. Rith took her tablet back, then handed it again to him. "Are your feathers like hair, continuously growing? Do you need to get your feathers cut? Are there fluffy Trallyr?" Silver gasped and turned to Oirdz, her claws unsheathing and she spoke and waved her hands in excited movements. "Can I climb the trees? The trees on Wafflenet aren't strong enough!" Unlike the rest of her body, Silver's claws were white with high clarity, catching the light and reflecting it in rainbows. "No we don't get them trimmed. If they do regrow they stop at a certain length. I'm sure there are some with longer feathers than others." He was caught off guard by silver's enthusiasm. "Oh, well... Given the trees here hold up entire cities I'm sure they won't break under you."

"Making sure I got this straight: Tralyr feathers usually grow once and they last a Trallyr's entire life. Most are not lost or ratty by the time a Trallyr dies. Trallyr feathers are hella -redacted- tough." Rith was now examining the feathers on her arms and wrists with interest. Silver looked slightly annoyed, but also still excited at the response. "I can see them holding up the city, Oirdz. I asked in case of rules or religion or social taboo."

Probably to protect from scratches or scrapes." They were glossy, the feather like things.... not really soft, but more like the feeling you'd get from a silicon brush. Their smoothness and lack of ridgitity probably made them seem soft as first. Occii filled in for Oirdz and responded to Silver. "While the Trallyr put great importance into the trees, they still see them as part of the landscape. Climbing the trees is only made less popular due to wandering predators."

But this makes collecting more feather samples difficult. Think we'd have an easier time with fecal matter or blood? Both are better as samples for shifting anyway." Rith replied on her tablet, glancing around the cabin area to check if her behavior had been noticed and seen as odd. Silver's face swiveled to Occi. "You mean they have wildlife in the trees too?"

No other Trallyr seemed to be very interested in her actions. "I think that is not a question I can really answer for you. It is probably a question you would ask a volunteer." Occii gives a curt nod "Well, of course! The trallyr do not see the trees as something they alone own, and animals that can survive that layer of altitude are visible as well! The lower to the ground you go, the more varietty you will find."

Two spaces down on the tablet, she asked "Can we hunt the animals in the trees?" "That's neat, but unexpected." said Silver "I thought most people wanted animals they didn't have control over to not live near them."

"The animals you find at this altitude are mostly scavengrs of animals that have adapted to metropolitan life."

They mostly eat fish and rats; a raccoon would have been a feast. Question, are Trallyr headfeathers different? I was told those grow and females sometimes cut them short." Rith responded. "Oh. How did they get there?" asked Silver. "Since the Trallyr build the whole habitat, couldn't they have kept them out?" --- Fish escorted Solluk, with their new body, into the Rinamian-owned arcade near the city's largest public square. The arcade attendant came over, looking over Fish and the newcomer. "Solluk, this is.." Fish trailed off as he searched for the gynoid's name. "Joystix," she filled in, "Nice to meet you, Solluk. Are you new in town?"

Or cause it interferes with work." Occii chuckled. "Why would they keep them out? It's inevitable some would return anyway. When the trallyr relocated they tried very hard to preserve their natural ecosystem, fearing what their tampering might do. Besides, some of them eat food trash." ----- Solluk followed him with more or less timid stance. "Ah. Greetings. I am in fact recently arrived to here. It is nice to meet you." He fidgets.

Fish spoke agin. "I have offered Solluk the arcade as a safe place to stay. I hope that will not be an inconvenience to you?" "Eheheh. Not at all, provided he doesn't get into mischief as a hobby." She replied, still grinning. "I can show you around, Solluk, if you'd like that?"

No official rules I can think of that would harm you." --- Solluk looked her hand over for a moment, and eventually took it. "It would probably be for the best."

"We have games here developed by Digitals, some of them are completely from our culture, others from other cultures with our own Rinamian flavor. People in the city come and play the games, which helps fund the other work we do in the city. There's a theater in the back for Rinamian movies, and Rinamians get in free. We show films by other worlds too, specially selected films Rinamians might be interested in." From the sounds coming from the theater, some Terminator movie was probably playing. "Got any favorite films?" she asked.

Colorful banners embroidered with Trallyean script flutter in the breeze form the high branches and ceiling above. The speakers in the shuttle thank them for choosing to ride with them, and the shuttle comes to a halt. with a hiss, the doors open and let in cool, humid air. They are assailed with the scent of wood, cooking fruits, and many trallyr. Oirdz gets up only after all the other passengers have mostly left. ----- Solluk took a moment to think. "I do not have a favorite film. Film is still a new genre of art to me. But I do like plays. they are like plays, yes?"
