Shootout you can send one goal and it counts as a game. 400 of those is rank 1, I think.

You can also just go to the Altador Cup main page and click on your rank and it'll give you a little rank up table.

Okay, so I don't understand how AC scoring works. Like I don't really want to go for all-star (because lol I don't actually care much for the AC) but I do want to break out of beginners. Does every score you send above a certain threshold help increase your rank? What's the difference between playing Bad FIFA game ripoff Yooyooball, Carpal Tunnel Simulator Make Some Noise, Minimum Wage Job Simulator Slushie Slinger, and Seriously, Who Gets This Much Penalty Kicks? Shootout Showdown. What the others said about checking your rank up points but LMAO at Carpal Tunnel Simulator. I agree 500%. It's the reason why I refuse to play that game anymore.

Is a one-goal win the same as a five-goal win in terms of how my team's rankings will fare as well as points (for the prize shop)? Or do they differ (if so, how huge is the difference)? Edit: I'm wondering how I got a high score of 8843 in MSN a few years ago. Trying really hard but the highest I can get so far is only above 7000. How in the world.

One goal is one prize point. It's the same as five goals and honestly, with the bracket system in place, day to day scores are meaningless. Just the bracket placings are what matters and those hardly change at all...

Well, I got to rank 3 today - that's enough for me. I'm surprised to see Darigan in the back of its bracket. Oh how the mighty have fallen. Still, I'm loyal to my team regardless of how well it performs. Azusa, I managed to get 9982 in years past (and easily got over 9000) and now can barely scrape 7000. MSN is much, much easier to rack up high scores on a slow or lagging computer, I find. Carpal Tunnel Simulator. Brilliant. X'D

I thought they were amazing but the standings today shocked me. I'm a huge fan of team D.C. (although I jump to different teams every year 'cause I ain't a loyal supporter). I can't play on a lagging computer cause it doesn't register the bonus keys that I clicked. As for ShSh - the ball disappears after 40 times of playing, without fail, and I have to refresh every 40 games. 9982 is amazing! Do you really smash your keyboard omg. *applauds*

Altador lost everything to Krawk Island. Now we're up against the Haunted Woods. This one we're sure to win. Yeah. Definitely. How could Haunted Woods beat Altador? I'll just keep telling myself that...

It looks like almost everyone flat lost or flat won. DC lost I wonder what we'll place this year. Additionally, Maraqua looks very, very strong this year. ...I really miss the Round Robin system. I don't trust the brackets.

Hard to tell, but it looks like the cheaters and possibly the All Star Groups are split this year (3 teams have scores above 10 in the side games), although it appears that Maraqua is the recipient this year. Tyrannia is not far behind, but again, it's hard to tell.
EDIT: Shenkuu didn't do too badly, holding their own against Mystery Island in the side games, but failed to get a full sweep.

My hand hurts... Every year I get really excited about the cup and look forward to it and every year after it's over I miss it, but when it's time to actually play those games I really, really hate the AC

Dang, that's like the best Shenkuu's done in years. EAT MY SHOOTOUT SHOWDOWN SPAM that probably had nothing to do with us winning but I can pretend
I have the feeling we're not gonna beat Tyrannia though, lol.

MQ has the bigger cheating group that normally wins. Because of the way brackets work - MQ have now won the Cup regardless of what happens. The smaller cheating group has gone mostly to KD with a smaller splinter group on MI. They are rubbish and will not win. It is possible a small splinter group from the bigger cheating group has joined TY, but that's unconfirmed at this point. The others are likely the remnants of Stealth and SOTAC.
