Personally, I think Hawkmoth dealing with the baby's tantrums was second to when he got scolded by Marinette's grandmother. Can't akumatize Parisians too old or too young, Mr. Agreste! XD
And yes, I love it when subbers put in their own comments. I think one version I saw the subber had taken the baby's happy squealing over the fake Ladybug lollipop and translated it as "FRIGGIN' LOLLIPOP YAAAASSS"
Oh, right, I forgot about that! It seems like Hawkmoth has been dealing with an awful lot of sass and setbacks with his minions this season, haha. From Chloe to Marinette's grandmother to Robustus and now this baby...
LOL! Well, that's a hilarious translation. xD I do love when they take liberties like that and make the dialogue way more entertaining (provided it doesn't change anything significant) - especially in manga/webtoons, as I read those more often.

S2E8 Thoughts: Ha, the principal is a HOOT! xD (Pun intended, lol.) It's also kinda cute how Ladybug and Cat Noir are always looking out for him and his awkward attempts at superheroics. AND OMG, THEY-THEY TOOK OFF THEIR MIRACULOUSES!! I wish one of them had peeked, LOL. But it's okay, because Tikki and Plagg have seen the other's true identity, heh heh...I wonder what they think about it...I mean, Tikki now knows that Marinette's crush is none other than her partner, and Plagg now knows the identity of Adrien's crush...*HOW* they can keep their identities secret to their respective miraculous holder, I don't know. Like, is Tikki going to secretly smile whenever Marinette freaks out over Adrien or when Ladybug rebuffs Cat Noir (because Tikki is still aware of what goes on when she's Ladybug, right?)? And is Plagg going to knowingly tease Adrien whenever he laments over who Ladybug is? ("I know who she is...") I want there to be some follow-through with Plagg and Tikki being privy to their secret identities. I think it would most likely come from Plagg's end though (I can just see him letting it slip, lol), since Tikki's too responsible. :3 Although if Marinette had the fakes on her the whole time, why bother taking off the miraculous in the first place? Unless they were in Marinette's pocket or something, and that's inaccessible when she's Ladybug... S2 Future Speculation Spoilers UGH, but I thought *for sure* this one was gonna be *THE* episode that I've seen image spoilers for (like, the video still from a spoilers video on YT), where it *seems* to show that their identities are revealed to each other! So I got super excited! And it sucks 'cause the spoiler video kept saying it would happen in E7, but NOPE. They are such a tease! Oh, well, such a big reveal would definitely be kept for the last episode or so...I wanna see it! *screams*

I would actually pin it on Tikki to make the flub because she seems more hyperactive than Plagg on most things.
If one of them were to peek, I sure hope it would have been Adrien, because Marinette would literally combust if she saw that Chat Noir was her crush this entire time.
Also... that blatant parody of Batman. I mean, the AI's name was even Alfred, and he had a nighttime owl symbol! I died. XD

(because Tikki is still aware of what goes on when she's Ladybug, right?) It's a little hazy whether or not the kwamis are aware while transformed. In the origins episode, Plagg and Tikki both seem to be unaware of what happened, asking "Did you catch the akuma?" when Marinette and Adrien ask what went wrong.
Other episodes seem to suggest that they are aware of what's happened. So... I dunno. 8I

Also... that blatant parody of Batman. I mean, the AI's name was even Alfred, and he had a nighttime owl symbol! I died. XD ...Actually, I can see Tikki spilling the beans too...Marinette is daydreaming over Adrien as usual, Tikki starts giggling; Marinette asks her what's so funny, and Tikki suddenly gets all tight-lipped and deer-in-the-headlights... Marinette keeps pressing her until Tikki caves and comes out with it in one excited breath, haha. And Marinette self-combusts. xD ...Maybe I just want it to be Plagg because I really want Adrien to find out who Ladybug is, lol. And Plagg has questioned Adrien about why he gave up an opportunity to find out Ladybug's identity, right? (According to the wiki 'cause I can't remember myself, haha. Edit: Just watched the ending of Lady Wifi and can confirm about Plagg - and wow, so Alya had speculated that Adrien looks like Chat Noir??? I need to rewatch S1, lol.) So he knows Adrien really wants to discover who Ladybug is, so maybe he'd let it slip...? x) LOL, and then she'd be freaking out that Adrien likes her back! Would she be able to keep her cool as Ladybug after that? But then she'd have to reconcile Chat Noir (and his flirtiness, which exasperates her sometimes) with Adrien - wonder what she'd think? I do agree though, Adrien would definitely be the more interesting one to have peeked (he's also the one who desperately wants to know) - it would allow for some fun dynamics and progress, especially on the Adrinette level. :3 He'd find out his crush was Marinette, and then when he's Adrien, he'd start to pay more attention to her at school - maybe even be a little flirtier, lol. And Marinette would self-combust. xP Hmm, I wonder what Adrien would think about that? Is he still oblivious to how Marinette feels about him? Ah, I'd love to see his reaction when he finds out Marinette - thus, Ladybug - has a total crush on his civilian identity...like, he tries so hard as Chat, and yet, she already likes him. Omg, I didn't even notice the Batman similarities!!

If this show was Teen Titans, episode 7 would have had the Japanese opening theme and episode 8 would have had the English opening theme. Episode 7 - Gigantitan Good to see the entire gang of girls together again, since they lampshade the extra-ness of Marinette's crush. I don't think we'd heard Alix speak since her Timebreaker episode! Rose and Juleka are adorable as usual - I love the running gag with the codenames. I don't know if Juleka's mumbling comes across in every dub, but they made a good use of it. Minor characters in general are treated well in this show. It makes sense for Mylène to ask if Marinette can't just ask Adrien out, since Mylène was doing well with her own love interest Ivan, and she'd likely find it easier.
I like that they show Marinette's hero instinct - going to help with the pram - when not in Ladybug form.
Hehe, they teased the Gorilla's turn to get Akumatised and then saved him for a later episode. I appreciate how the Gorilla looks so relieved to find Adrien after losing sight of him. Sure, it's his job at stake, but it's kind of sweet too. Whatever he felt was good enough to protect him from an Akuma.
Another episode in which Papillon is a bit out of his depth. (How to get a villain to Akumatise a tiny kidlet? ... Definitely by accident, yep.) Episode 2 also had moments when the Akuma wasn't sure who to pick, that's interesting and makes the classic scene less predictable.
"La sucette?" "Non, pas sucette!! Miraculous! Mi-ra-cu-lous!"
Adrien as Chat using his jingly bell and playing to distract the giant kid, aaaww. And pulling Ladybug out of the way of Gigantitan's hand, very neat.
Here's a casual reminder that Ladybug's yo-yo is pretty much infinite and unbreakable. And woah, I love how she smashed the bracelet with a diving leg drop.
I'm glad that Marinette still stammered and messed up with Adrien in the end. If she had succeeded, that would have been very sudden progress, and it would have made the convoluted plan from earlier seem pointless.
It's cool that they designed Auguste as biracial, they had the chance and they took it. Personally, I think Hawkmoth dealing with the baby's tantrums was second to when he got scolded by Marinette's grandmother. Can't akumatize Parisians too old or too young, Mr. Agreste! XD Agreed, Gina still has the best sass. x3 Episode 8 - Dark Owl Yep, charming thievery , it's a very blatant Batman spoof from the moment we first see the principal's secret office cache with homemade costume and fan gear. =D Though the AI's name is Albert, to parodise Alfred, Zoey . Finallyyy, the secret life of the goofy principal! Turns out that he's quite a bit goofier than the Code Lyoko principal. And he's a sweet guy as well. Poor thing, glad that LadyChat help him. The double-facepalm by Ladybug and Chat Noir in the background of the principal's interview is magnificent. I like how they spoof over-the-top villain threats and have the animal hostage situation be a hologram to lure the heroes, it's just so easy. After some episodes in which Papillon was out of his depth, it's good to have one in which he comes very alarmingly close to success. (Well there was that time when Robostus nearly got the Miraculouses, but that was for himself, not Papillon) He also looks surprisingly sad for a moment after realising that they're fakes. Interesting. We may not have had identity reveals, but we got Adrien presenting a ring to Marinette, how's that for 'shiptease? 8D *brickd* Interesting how the first Lucky Charm gave Ladybug an item that would only be useful in a later situation. Is this the first episode in which we've had two Lucky Charms? But... at the end, she only broke the computer monitor, didn't she? >_> Hrmmph. I guess that works if the Akuma was in the monitor. Still, a bit weird. Although if Marinette had the fakes on her the whole time, why bother taking off the miraculous in the first place? Unless they were in Marinette's pocket or something, and that's inaccessible when she's Ladybug... Hmm... another possibility is that LadyChat say catchphrases to de-transform. Dark Owl is one of the cleverer antagonists they've had, so if he hadn't heard the de-transformation, he might not have been fooled. About the ship-tease in Episode 8: Actually, I don't think Tikki would be one to spill beans accidentally. Tikki has proven very skilled at handling her miraculous-holder so far; she doesn't give Marinette more information than the girl can handle at once. Tikki knows very well that Marinette would spontaneously combust if she knew the truth, and that wouldn't be good for Ladybug-duties. The most I can see Tikki doing is dropping subtle hints, maybe telling Marinette not to be so hard on Chat Noir, or questioning what she knows of Adrien, or pointing out similarities between them, etc. Just to help the girl figure it out herself.
Plagg is a likelier candidate for beans-spilling. I could see him letting it slip that Ladybug is closer to Adrien than he thinks, then shutting up when Adrien asks him more questions. Plagg can still be cagey, as we saw when the book of Miraculouses was discovered in Agreste's vault. This would also be more convenient for the plot. You know they won't reveal secret identities until a season finale, it's something juicy that you have to save for later. If Adrien knows that Ladybug is, idk, in his school, that allows him to search for her, but also opens the way for more shenanigans in which he believes that another girl is secretly Ladybug, prompting jealousy from Marinette, etc. Maybe getting someone Akumatised in the process, too.

Episode 9 - the Glaciator Okay this episode was cute and all but IF I HAVE TO SEE THEM CHASING EACH OTHER FOR ANOTHER EPISODE WITHOUT FIGURING EACH OTHER OUT AKFJDSKFJDKSLFJDSKLJFD...
I am thisclose to writing a fanfiction where I place an OC that basically rounds the two up and is like "DUDES. IT'S NOT THAT HARD. There's literally ONE GIRL in Paris that looks like Marinette, and ONE GUY that looks like Chat Noir. Y'ALL ARE THEM. NOW KISS." and peaces out.
The villain this time was a pretty funny design though. Hawkmoth's got a thing for giant akumatized people this season?

Episode 10- Sapotis Eyy, knew this would happen eventually from early season leaks, but I didn't know until last night that new Miraculouses would happen so soon! Exciting!! (also all those other miraculouses hidden in the box?? I had a feeling there were more than what we've seen before, but I didn't imagine they'd all be in the same place) I'm curious how the other two will get theirs when the time comes, if it'll be the same scenario where Ladybug and Chat need help from some temp heroes, or if eventually it'll be something more permanent.
And lol, although from the leaks it was pretty obvious who Rena Rouge would be, I find it funny that she's so far the one that probably best disguises her actual identity xD I mean, it's not perfect, but with the lack of glasses and completely new hair, her identity is a little bit more of a mystery, at least compared to Ladybug or Chat.
I think this is also clever little way to keep Alya off the trail of Ladybug's identity for now, as she knows first hand the responsibility of keeping such things a secret now. But Alya honey, you might have been trying a bit too hard beforehand xD I'm not sure you need to go so far as a voice analyzer to notice similarities between LB and your best friend xDD
Also, what is it with Hawkmoth akumatizing so many kids this season? x3 It's actually kinda interesting, he seems to be having a harder time keeping control over his victims, but at the same time, LB and Chat have also had way more close calls while fighting them. Not that all the akumas have gotten darker-- in fact, most of them have been rather humorous-- but it seems the the ante has been upped a bit more for heroes and villains alike.
I've gotta say, I'm loving how each new episode has been giving good plot or teasing content so far! Makes it much more fun looking for ward to the next one without worrying too much about filler episodes ^^

Episode 9 - Glaciator *pets Zoey * There, there ;_; I know they're dragging it horribly slow to make it last for the entire show... but significant progress was made! Now Adrien won't get his feelings dismissed as much. :'D What I really liked about this episode: Chat Noir's feelings for Ladybug are finally taken more seriously. LB gets to be kinder to her co-hero. I think it's a lot more moving for the viewers than for LB, because: what we know is that behind Chat Noir, there's just poor, lonely Adrien. This makes me realise that Marinette knows Adrien a lot less well than she thinks. When identities are revealed, she'll have to accept that Chat Noir's humour and mischief are also traits of Adrien that can only come out as Chat Noir. Other stuff I liked: the aesthetic, a romantic ice cream cart on a bridge in Paris at sunset, cheesy but cute. Yay for Mylène/Ivan 'shippiness, and a reminder that Alya/Nino is still a thing I guess. I don't know about dubs, but André's dialogue is full of rhymes. (I just wonder what his design is based on; his face is in a more cartoony style than other characters, reminiscent of Franco-Belgian comics.) Episode 10- Sapotis Eyy, knew this would happen eventually from early season leaks, but I didn't know until last night that new Miraculouses would happen so soon! Exciting!! (also all those other miraculouses hidden in the box?? I had a feeling there were more than what we've seen before, but I didn't imagine they'd all be in the same place) [...]
Eeeeeee I know right, so very exciting!! (Just the sight of Master Fu's box) ("no, they're not going to, not yet - they're doing it - she'S GOT IT - SHE'S HERE OMW!!!") But yet, that is a lot of drawers for one box? I thought there were only seven Miraculouses?! All the extra ones were kept totally secret and not leaked?? which is... kind of a first for this show! xD Maybe they're not as powerful as the main seven. Episode 10 - Sapotis In which the show makes less obnoxious Minions who actually get caught and got rid of, whew.
In which a relationship other than the pseudo-love-quadrangle is explored, yay!
So Alya is analysing a recording of Ladybug's voice and can't link it to Marinette's. Dangit. So close.
Papillon has got slightly better at Akumatising kids! I'd say the villain of the week is half-silly, half-dangerous, because the rate at which they multiply and their sheer overwhelming numbers can be overpowering - they nearly got the kitty cat.
The way he goes on about kids' lives being no fun and how they should be able to do whatever they want is really ironic when you consider Adrien. Either Papillon is so focused on his villain antics that's he's just blissfully unaware of Adrien, or he's entirely aware of Adrien's loneliness and escapism as Chat Noir, and then it becomes a lot more twisted.
I am SO SO SO happy that Alya returned the Miraculous. Some people might have wanted a third hero to join the team permanently, but a broken promise would have been a terrible way to start that, not to mention that too many permanent heroes would make the team dynamic too complicated - especially alongside the pseudo-love-quadrangle. The fact that Alya keeps this a secret from Marinette will also help her to understand why Marinette kept the secret from her, when it's finally revealed later on!
If you're worried that Rena Rouge won't be back, the title of a future episode has been teased as "Day of the Heroes", so I'm sure she'll get another go with the Fox Miraculous. ^^
Uh oh. Papillon is aware of the presence of a Miraculous-guardian. Don't touch our Master Fu now, Papillon! This show is too sweet for an "avenge your fallen mentor" plot!
Detail: we see Penny Rolling get into a car with Jagged Stone. If the show casually reminds us of her existence, I'm guessing her turn to be Akumatised is coming soon. =D Random comment: you know, I would have a much easier time believing that Adrien models for his dad's fashion line if Adrien wasn't always wearing the same darn clothes. =/

So I finally watched this episode! When I heard from the Ladybug subreddit that there wouldn't be another episode until Feb. 11, I was like, I should just hold off on watching until then so I can enjoy both back-to-back! Since once I start watching an episode, I want more! Episode 9 - Glaciator Oh, my gosh, where do I even begin with this episode?? The whole thing just seems filled with adorable moments! My fangirl heart is going into overdrive! xD But really, what I loved most was how Marinette was able to see the sweeter and more serious side of Chat Noir for once. He's always just making jokes or flirting with her, and so she never really took him that seriously. Thus, it's a huge surprise for her to learn that his feelings towards her are real. And plus...he's acting more like Adrien here. It was that same sweetness that first made Marinette fall for Adrien, so no wonder the girl is responding well to this side of Chat Noir. That last scene with her staring after him kind of parallels her reaction in the Umbrella scene, so I'm rather curious and hopeful to see how her feelings towards Chat might change... So yeah, I'm really pleased by this new development and can't wait to see how it affects their relationship in the future. Like, all four corners of the square, since Marinette and thus Ladybug sees Chat in a new light, and Adrien clearly finds comfort in Marinette's company. Plus, Adrien/Chat now knows that both Marinette and Ladybug like someone... Speaking of which, here are some specific moments I quite adored: - Chat is clearly dejected about Ladybug not showing up, but the moment he finds out Marinette is also hurting, he instantly disregards his own pain in order to cheer her up. :') - And even before that...just him setting up something so utterly romantic and then patiently waiting with such hope to see if Ladybug does show... ^^ - I think I really like angsty Chat, haha. In general, I like romantic angst, so I thoroughly enjoyed practically every moment of this episode. xD But yeah, his expression and reaction when Ladybug proposes they pretend to be lovers? Oh, man. That just added insult to injury. It makes Ladybug seem a little insensitive, given how she's realized he truly likes her and would prefer to be a *real* couple, rather than a pretend one. But, I mean, she was focused on the mission, and that has top priority, so I don't fault her at all. Just unfortunate timing... - Also - I really appreciate how quick he is to admit when he's wrong and apologize accordingly. Like, he was hurt, and that makes people act unreasonably and take it out on the person who hurt them, but he *was* being a jerk to Ladybug. I do like how she knew the reason why though. And I admire his ability to recover quickly and just put aside his own feelings when there's something more important he needs to attend to. - And oh, my gosh, the scene where Ladybug tells Chat how she values him as more than just her partner, that he's become a friend...? And she doesn't want to lead him on...(And then of course, they have to tease fans with the possibility that Adrien might find out his crush likes him back! But nope, the same old gotta keep their identities a secret thing. Sigh.) - And Chat's response! He smiles and tells her he understands, that she's his best friend too. Like, he can take everything in stride and is just ever so sweet! That kiss on the cheek and giving her the rose! Ahhhhhhhh!! Dx And afterward...we even get Adrien's reaction to it...how he's so grateful to be her friend (even more d'aww when you remember how lonely Adrien is and how much he wants friends T-T). (I truly wasn't expecting to see follow-up to that scene...so it was a welcome and pleasant surprise.) Adrien pretty much is why this ship is the best. ...Clearly the more I love a scene, the more incoherent I get, haha. - Anyway...then lastly, how Marinette finally accepts the ice cream, and lo and behold, Andre's ice cream magic works, and Adrien appears too! At first I was disappointed that they didn't see each other, but what followed next was even better. :3 I love how Adrien's so hopeful and optimistic about his love for Ladybug, and can I just say that Andre's choice of ice cream is just perfect for the both of them? xD That ending scene was just too cute and a perfect way to end an amazing episode. :') Gah! Just so much development for the ship(s)! xD I kinda don't wanna watch the next episode quite yet now, since I want to just stay in this happy fangirling state, lol. EDIT: *sees thumbnail for next episode* Episode 10 spoilers based on thumbnail: Oh, HO, so Volpina's in this one (...I think that's her anyway)?? And Chat's kissing her hand and acting his typical charming self? And Ladybug just watches this interaction take place? My jealousy senses are tingling, ahahaha. This is perfect. This is what I want to follow the previous episode. This is exactly what'll reveal and test how Ladybug now starts to feel for Chat, hohohohohoho! Yep, okay, I'm watching this next episode today too then. We'll see if it's worth it. 'Cause otherwise, *HISSSSSS* LOVE RIVAL??? Our square don't need that! Though honestly, I feel like Chat Noir could do with someone liking him too. Everyone else (Marinette, Ladybug, Adrien) has someone crushing on them except Chat. Hey, now, wait, aren't I getting super ahead of myself? It's not like that thumbnail shows Volpina fawning over Chat...why am I assuming this means Chat will be getting a new love interest who likes him? ...Probably because something like that makes sense as a way to challenge and reveal Ladybug's potentially changing feelings towards her partner...you know, what I mentioned above.

Why require an OC when you can have Deadpool do the job for you? xD www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zHXRfZW8_kI don't know if you've seen that before, but it's one of my favorite comic fandubs because it's HILARIOUS. The guy who voices Deadpool is phenomenal. xD But yeah, especially with Marinette and her particular hairstyle? NO ONE ELSE WEARS THEIR HAIR LIKE THAT. Considering how they're both so in love with each other, you'd think they'd immediately recognize the features of the other...especially with how often Marinette stares at Adrien's pictures? OTZ

Episode 10 - Sapotis Real-time Reactions: Wow, Alya is really good with kids/her sisters. Um, Hawkmoth, you sure it's a good idea to akumatize kids? You...don't have a good track record with the young'uns, ahaha. *Sees his reaction after the akumatization takes place* LOL. Oh, my goodness, all those little demons...creating all this hilarious mayhem! xD AHAHAHA, Plagg has to protect his camembert... Omg, Ladybug just did a Spidey pose... OMG, the way Chat just casually trips or pushes them! This episode is cracking me up. xDDD Alya catches on very quickly, and her transformation looks pretty cool. Oh, yeah, crap, I forgot Alya's supposed to be one of the miraculous holders...Okay, forget my predictions above, I don't want Alya in any love triangles/squares. -___- Unless she's not going to be permanent...she's quite the natural though... Is this a red herring for the future miraculous holders?? I'm really starting to appreciate how quick Ladybug can come up with solutions based on her clues...I don't think I really thought about it too much and just accepted that yes, of course you do that with this. Wait, if Alya de-transforms, wouldn't her illusion disappear...? ...She sure lasted a long time without de-transforming. Ooh, that moment when Alya didn't want to return the miraculous... Episode 10 Thoughts: Anyway! After episode 9's comments, all I can offer for this one are my real-time reactions, lol. I will say I do really love Alya as a miraculous holder! She really shines in this episode, and I can appreciate how awesome she is. (I was always too focused on Adrien and Marinette before.) So I'd be totally good with her joining the team! She and Chat got along great, and she has so much sass! This makes me wonder...is this a lead-up to her eventually joining the team permanently? Or just a tease like Lila? Well...how many fake fox miraculous holders can we have, right? I'm pretty sure she's a forever member. I suppose it was too much to hope to expect more love development (possibly in the form of a rival, the way I thought in my previous comments), ha...They're never that good to us, lol. But I don't really want a rival - if they do put one in, I hope it's only temporary (kinda like Nathanael - BUT I LOVE HIM and want to see more of him) and only in service of challenging how Ladybug feels towards Chat (pushing it in a more romantic direction) and furthering development there. (Though considering how Marinette behaves around Adrien, it probably wouldn't be a good thing if Ladybug suddenly started reciprocating Chat's feelings, so that's not going to happen for a LOOOOONNNNGGG time. Then again, Ladybug knows her partner better than Marinette knows Adrien, so that's different. There's more friendship and trust in the LadyChat relationship - they're far more comfortable and relaxed around each other - and that would make reciprocation a little less problematic.) Anyway, I really only care about the love square - no need to add any more to it when it's already that complicated. xD But! Plot development! This doesn't bode well that Hawkmoth realizes there are more miraculouses to try to steal...The old master/turtle miraculous holder better watch it... Anyway, I'm glad that these last two episodes added more progress in regards to plot and character/relationship development. ^^ ...Huh. So I did have more to say than just my reactions, lol.

charming thievery Just to avoid spamming, it'd probably be a good idea to combine all your posts together, since they're all related in content :3 In more Miraculous-related talk, lol yess I feel the same with a lot of your Glaciator reactions! x3 I'm just glad that Ladybug/Mari knows about and respects Chat's true feelings now, since not only can they grow closer as friends, but it also promises for more progress in the whole love square thing. And speaking of, aughghh at LB blushing after Chat gives her the rose x333 Ahh, I love the idea of her slowly falling for Chat as well, because even if he wasn't Adrien, it'd still be sweet for her to find the love she's been wanting, just in a way she hadn't expected <3 (I'm just always happy to see someone learn to love outside of something long unrequited (like, lol i dunno how much i'd ship it if i didn't know they already secretly love each other, and that the ship is basically guaranteed since the show creators can't be that cruelly trollish otherwise x3) It's a hard lesson to learn, so it's sweet seeing them overcome while still keeping their heart open <3)

I'll just add everything to one post in future. Omg, yes, that blush! XD
Not only that, but she and Chat just get along so well together, so a romance between the two of them seems like it'd be more natural, not to mention super cute! ^^
Also, she's gotten to know him from all the time they spend with each other. So if she starts falling for him, it'd feel more as if she likes him for him and who he is as a person, rather than admiring him from a distance without really knowing him, the way her crush on Adrien seems to be like.
